  • Note: Oudenhoven, Leon 2003 Appleton Post Crescent dated 6/23/2003; Oudenhoven, Leon, “Lee” Little Chute Age 53, died peacefully Friday June 20, 2003 at his home. He was born November 3, 1949 in Appleton, WI son of Jerome and Marion (Sprangers) Oudenhoven. On May 20, 1972 Lee married the former Mary Pankratz at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. The couple lived in the Kimberly area their entire married lives, moving to Little Chute a year ago. Lee was employed at Bergstrom Buick-Pontiac-GMC. He had three loves in his life; his family, his fishing and his playing of Santa to generations of area families. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. Survivors include his wife Mary, Little Chute, a daughter Tammy (special friend Keith), Chicago, a son, Kyle (special friend, Sarah), Stevens Point, his mother, Marion (special friend Ed Klarner), Kimberly, a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Vander Heiden, Appleton, 3 brothers and sisters-in-law; Duane (Betsy) Oudenhoven, Chicago, IL, Bruce (Malynda) Oudenhoven, Little Chute, Dr. Keith (Pam) Oudenhoven, Kimberly. Lee is further survived by his wife’s family, Julia Pankratz, Ronald (Patty) Poleshinski, all of Combined Locks, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome in 1997 and his father-in-law, Jerome Pankratz in 1990. Memorial services will be held at 5 pm Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with Fr. Robert Vandenberg officiating. Friends may call directly at the church from 2 pm Tuesday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.     Shirley A. Vander Heiden (Oudenhoven), Appleton, age 57, went home to the Lord Friday, July 24, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Appleton on August 27, 1952, to Jerome and Marion (Sprangers) Oudenhoven. Shirley married and later separated from Gary Yingling, after having a son Jordan. She then married James "Jim" Vander Heiden on June 25, 1993, who preceded her in death September 11, 2006. Shirley loved the outdoors, spending time at the cottage in Shawano, and particularly enjoyed tending to her flowers.

    Shirley is survived by her son, Jordan (Kelly) Yingling of Appleton; stepchildren: Vickie (Peter) Zipperer, Kaukauna; and Scott (Kristy) Vander Heiden, Darboy; grandchildren: Cailin, Carsen, Claire, Joshua and Abigail; mother, Marion (special friend Edward Klarner) Oudenhoven; mother-in-law, Grace Vander Heiden; brothers: Duane (Betsy), Bruce (Malynda) and Keith (Pam) Oudenhoven; sister-in-law, Mary Oudenhoven; and nieces and nephews: Tammy (Keith) Spilak, Mollie, Elessa, Amy, Carrie, Kyle (Sara) and James Oudenhoven.

    Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James; father, Jerome; brother, Leon; and dog, Frosty.

    Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009, at ST. BERNADETTE PARISH (2331 E. Lourdes Dr. Appleton) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. The Rev.     Yingling, Gary


    Gary Yingling, 58, Kaukauna, passed away at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on June 29, 1951, in Appleton, to the late Jerome and Helen (Andrejeski) Yingling. He married Virginia Christensen on Jan. 3, 2004. Gary worked for Thilmany for 40 years and was an avid golfer. He was a wonderful husband and father and was an all around great guy. Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held the position of High Priest.

    Gary is survived by his wife, Virginia Yingling, Kaukauna; one son, Jordan (Kelly) Yingling, Appleton; four daughters, Cristi (Mike) Gatten, Las Vegas; Hollie Anne Chadwick, Las Vegas; Terri Lynne (David) Gonzalez, Alpine, Utah; Debbie (Michael) Harper, Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren, Cailin, Lila, Christina, Christopher, Carolyn, Jason, Skyler, Tiffany, Kelsie, and Stasha; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Jordan; two brothers, Thomas (Debbie) Yingling and David (Jennifer) Yingling; two sisters, Linda (Pete) Madaski and Karen (Mike) Rammer; his mother-in-law, Eileen Christensen, Orem, Utah; five nieces and nephews and many friends.

    Gary was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Christensen.

    Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 425 W. Park Ridge Ave., Appleton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery.

The couple celebrated 28 years of marriage until his death in June of 2001. Helen enjoyed sewing, quilting and going to the casino. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Combined Locks. Surviving are children and their families: Thomas (Debbie) Yingling and their son Jeremy, Appleton; Linda (Pete) Madaski, Iron Mt., Michigan; Gary (special friend Ginny Deines) and his son Jordan, Appleton; Karen (Michael) Rammer and their daughter Sarah, Kaukauna; David (Jennifer) Yingling and their sons Dan and John, Appleton; Audrey Dettl (Milton) Daanen, Sturgeon Bay and their children, Deborah Daanen (Jamie) Van Dahlen, Gregg (Karen) Daanen, Jeffrey (Amy) Daanen, Carrie Daanen (Scott) Callahan; Jack (Carol) Dettl, Allen, Michigan and their children, John (Lynn) Dettl, Jim (Lucy) Dettl, Joel (Kim) Dettl, Mark (Mary) Dettl, Janet (Dan) Ahlburg; 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers and five sister-in-laws: Joe Andrejeski, Neenah; Steve (friend Rita) Andrejeski, Kimberly; Lorraine Andrejeski, Kimberly; Mary Yingling, Lakewood; Della Yingling, Nebraska; Delores Yingling, Appleton; Dorothy (Gene) Sage, Arkansas; a sister and three brothers-in-law: Mary (Al) Newlin, Florida; Orv (Bea) Yingling, White Lake; Jim (Joanne) Yingling, Leona; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Yingling was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Paul's Church, Combined Locks. Survivors are his wife, helen; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Yingling, Kaukauna; two daughters, Linda and Karen both at home; Three sons, Thomas, Ft. Hood Texas, U.S. Army; Gary and David, both at home; five brothers, Orville, Appleton; Norbert, Troy, Ohio; Francis, Jacksonville, N.C.; Donald and James, Kaukauna; one sister, Dorothy, Milwaukee.
