  • Note: Martin George Ferrier, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, with his family by his side, to be with his Heavenly Father, after a long battle with cancer. Martin was born in Dykesville, WI on February 18, 1930, to the late Desire and Mary (Liebergen) Ferrier. Martin attended elementary school in Dykesville through the sixth grade. He then worked on the family farm and for other farmers in Casco. Martin moved to Kenosha in 1959 where he worked for American Motors/Chrysler Corporation until 1991. He made weekly trips back to Green Bay to see his mother, his siblings, and their families. Martin purchased his mother's house in Green Bay and moved there upon his retirement. he greatly valued family, staying current on what others were doing in their lives, loving to visit and to play cards, especially Sheepshead. Martin had a soft spot in his heart for children, cherishing their family visits. He was a talented dancer, even taking ballroom dance lessons. This interest led him to meet his special friend, Helen Flanagan, with whom he enjoyed 44 years of companionship. Martin started to buy and sell antiques when living in Kenosha. It quickly became a passion, allowing him to forge strong friendships with others who also appreciated antiques. He had a talent for restoring furniture and developed a vast knowledge about antiques. Martin was a long-standing member at St. Bernard Parish, his faith being core in his life. He also had devoted friends from his decades-long participation in the St. Agnes Family Prayer Night.

    Surviving are his five siblings: Henry Ferrier; Ira (Judy) Ferrier; Lorraine Malcore; Walter (Donna) Ferrier and Jean (Harvey Parson) Ferrier; nieces and nephews: Daniel Ferrier; Sharon (Stephen) Fountaine; Gary (Laura) Ferrier; Gail (Scott) Selby; Mark (Andrea) Ferrier; Brian Ferrier; Amy Ferrier; Jospeph (Trudy) Ferrier; Curtis (Melanie) Ferrier; Gene Ferrier; Susan Thiry; Shirley (John) Frea; Dennis (Gloria) Malcore; Debra Strnad; Barbara (Brian) Rass; Lisa (Paul) Collins; Nora (Mike) Kanzenbach; Paul (Camie) Ferrier; Julie (Joe) Hummel; Tim (Marina) Shefchik; A.J. Shefchik II; Eric Shefchik; Melissa Richmond; Ryan (Jayme) Shefchik; and Linda's husband, Frank Harmison; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; friends in faith, Joan and Bob Ross, and long-time friends: Dale and Carolyn Jacobs, Mel and Joan Alderman and Ben Wagner.

    Martin is proceeded in death by his special friend, Helen Flanagan; his brothers: Bernard, Donald, and Arnold Ferrier; infant brother, George Ferrier; sisters-in-law: Jane Ferrier and Shirley Ferrier Gebhard; brother-in-law, Robert Malcore; and niece Linda (Frank) Harmison. Martin was blessed with many other friends who had a very special role in his life.

    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00-7:00 pm Sunday, September 11. Parish wake service 6:30 pm Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln, after 10:00 am until time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Monday at the church with Rev.   • Death: Cyrilla Catherine Baeten died on December 5, 2013, at age 97, in Kaukauna, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Burial: She was buried in St John Cemetery, Little Chute, Wisconsin, New/6/28.
  • Note: Cyrilla "Sis" Weyenberg, Kaukauna, age 97, died peacefully on Thursday December 5, 2013 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Oneida on May 9, 1916 to the late George and Minnie (Vanden Heuvel) Baeten. Sis met her husband Frank "Duce" Weyenberg at a dance at the Nightingale. They were married at St. Paul Church in Wrightstown on July 19, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008. Together, they operated Duce's Bar for over 20 years. Sis was a life-long member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 258 for 62 years, and a member of the Golden Agers. Sis enjoyed spending time at White Clay Lake, fishing, and playing cards but the most important thing to Sis was spending time with her family.

    Sis is survived by her daughter: Mary (Jerry) Gloudemans, Little Chute; son: Carl Weyenberg, Kaukauna; five grandchildren: Dave (Julie) Gloudemans, Middleton; Steve (Ellen) Gloudemans, Little Chute; Dianne (Bill) Vande Voort, Kimberly; Mark (Mary) Gloudemans, Little Chute; and Mike (Kari) Gloudemans, Menasha; thirteen great grandchildren: MacKenzie, Colin and Spencer Gloudemans; Adam (Rachel) Gloudemans and Jennifer (Jon) Hietpas; Corey (fiancée Allison), Eric and Tyler Vande Voort; Katie and Matthew Gloudemans; Grant, Wade and Claire Gloudemans; four great great grandchildren: Jack Gloudemans, Bryce and Landon Hietpas and Oliver Vande Voort; sisters: Pat Peters, Rita Willems and Vi Jauquet; and sisters and brother-in-law: Ella and Betty Baeten, Alma Weyenberg and Hub Gerend. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband Frank, Cyrilla was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Frank H and Minnie (Peeters) Weyenberg; brothers: Norbert (Opal), Robert and Harold Baeten; sisters: Melly (Charles) Bickel, Helen (1st husband Paul Casey) (Frank) Thiessen, Marge Gerend, Toddy (Leroy) Peters and Catherine Gerend; and brothers and sister-in-law: Don Jauquet, Aloys Peters, Earl Willems, Emma (Clarence) Peters and Clarence Weyenberg.

    Weyenberg, Frank L. "Duce"
    Frank L. Weyenberg, Little Chute, 87, peacefully passed away with his family at his side on Friday March 14, 2008, at Theda Clark Medical Center from a brain aneurysm. He was born on May 23, 1920, in Appleton, son of the late Frank H. and Minnie (Peeters) Weyenberg. He met his wife, Cyrilla (Sis) Baeten, at a dance at the Nightingale. They were married at St. Paul Church in Wrightstown, on July 19, 1941. Frank was a lifelong member at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. He was a veteran of Coppus American Legion Post No. 258 for 63 years, Little Chute volunteer firefighter for 22 years and the Golden Agers. Frank and Sis ran Duce's Bar in Little Chute for over 20 years. He also worked at Kimberly-Clark, Research and Development, Neenah. Frank enjoyed spending time at White Clay Lake, fishing and playing cards. He really enjoyed talking with his many friends and neighbors.

    Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Cyrilla; daughter, Mary (Jerry) Gloudemans, Little Chute; son, Carl Weyenberg, Kaukauna; five grandchildren, Dave (Julie) Gloudemans, Middleton; Steve (Ellen) Gloudemans, Little Chute; Dianne (Bill) Vande Voort, Kimberly; Mark (Mary) Gloudemans, Little Chute; Mike (Kari) Gloudemans, Menasha; 11 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Colin and Spencer Gloudemans; Adam and Jennifer Gloudemans; Corey, Eric and Tyler Vande Voort; Katie and Matthew Gloudemans; Grant Gloudemans. He also is survived by sisters-in-law, Alma Weyenberg, Vi Jauquet, Pat Peters, Rita (Earl) Willems, Ella Baeten and Betty Baeten; and brother-in-law, Hub Gerend.

    He was preceded in death by his wife's parents, George and Minnie (Vanden Heuvel) Baeten; sister, Emma (Clarence) Peeters; brother, Clarence Weyenberg; brothers-in-law, Norbert (Opal) Baeten, Robert Baeten, Harold Baeten, Don Jauquet and Aloys Peters; sisters-in-law, Melly (Charles) Bickel, Helen (1st husband, Paul Casey) (Frank) Thiessen, Marge Gerend, Toddy (Leroy) Peters and Catherine Gerend.

Military rites performed by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post No. 258 will immediately follow.   • Note: My Great Grandpa Duce Weyenberg, also known as Frank, owned and ran Duce's Bar in Little Chute from 1961 to 1979. While running the tavern he also worked for Kimberly Clark Research Center and was a volunteer for the Little Chute Fire Department. When he retired he started camping at Cecil and in later years camped at White Clay Lake where he spends his summer weekends fishing with Great Grandma Sis. He also serves in the American Legion.

  • Note: Richard M. "Dick" Van Dyke, age 80 of Kimberly passed away on August 11, 2016 at his home. Dick was born on January 6, 1936 in Wrightstown, Wisconsin to Richard and Esther (Davis) Van Dyke. He was a graduate of Wrightstown High School. After graduation he served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. In 1956, Dick met the love of his life, Yvonne Chappa. On August 30, 1958, they were married at St. Marks Catholic Church in Redgranite, Wisconsin. Richard and Yvonne enjoyed spending winter in Donna, Texas.

    Dick enjoyed playing cards and games, especially Sheepshead. He was an avid reader and stamp collector. He loved travelling with Yvonne, fishing, camping, bike riding and watching movies. He was a member of VFW, Kaukauna Post 3319 and the Tin Can Sailors.

    He is survived by: daughters, Victoria (Michael) Johnson of Appleton, Valerie (Dennis) Douglas of Kimberly, and Julie (Jerry) Grygny of New London. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Jesse (Debra) Douglas, Amanda (Jonathan Handler) Douglas, and Ashley (Tony) Marcks, Benjamin Kloes; step grandchildren, Cole and Chase Grygny; great grandchildren, Maxwell and Lillian Eve Douglas, and Brynley and Briella Kloes, Ayla Von, Beau Benjamin and Bentley David Marcks; siblings: Barb (Ron) Westerback, Verl (Angie) Van Dyke, Vivian (Harold) Schmidt, He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Yvonne, son, Richard H. Van Dyke, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Darlene (Walter) Gage, brother-in-law Charlie Lorenz, Carol Van Dyke and Sophie Van Dyke.

    The funeral liturgy for Dick will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, Kimberly Location with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating.
