  • Note: Paul M. Verboomen, age 87, of Lakewood, WI passed away peacefully on Aug. 29, 2012. He was born on July 11, 1925 to Andrew and Mary (Heindl) Verboomen in Wrightstown, WI. He graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1943.

    Paul proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in World War II from 1945-46 in the occupation of Japan. He recently enjoyed the Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington D.C.

    After returning from the service, he founded Wrightstown Manufacturing which makes custom farm equipment. He was a member of the Wrightstown Fire Dept. from 1952-77. He was the Fire Chief for most of those 25 years. Paul was also a member of the Wrightstown American Legion, and the Lakewood/Mountain VFW Post. Paul enjoyed the many family get-togethers at his house, especially making the connection with Belgium relatives here and abroad. He was also well known for his witty sense of humor.

    Paul married Jane McNulty on September 12, 1975 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown. They lived in Wrightstown until his retirement in 1987. They moved to Lakewood where he enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and golfing.

    Paul is survived by his loving wife, Jane, one brother, Carl (Linda) Verboomen, Wrightstown. Two godchildren: Annette Dreier and Paula Verboomen. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends in Lakewood and Wrightstown. A special thank you to Dick and Judy Dunlap and Dan and Doris Verboomen for their help and support throughout the years.

    Paul was preceded in death by three brothers: Romuald (Kay), Clarence (Roseann), Leonard and one sister; Josephine (John) Stienen.

    Visitation will be at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood, WI. on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 noon, with Father Jason Blahnik officiating. Burial will be at the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown, on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.   • Note: Carl Verboomen died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 31. He was the youngest son of Mary (Heindl) and Andrew Verboomen. He was a life long member of St. Clare Church in Wrightstown. He was employed at Channel 5 as a transmitter engineer for 31 years, retiring in 1986. After retirement he drove school bus part time for Lamers Bus Service until 2001. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post, 436, in Wrightstown. In 1967 he married Linda Moran at Resurrection Church in Green Bay. He enjoyed deer hunting, bowling, golfing, fishing, and time spent with family.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda, two children: daughter, Paula, (John Loew) in Pewaukee, WI, and son, Mark, at home. He is also survived by his grandson, Emmett Loew in Pewaukee; sister-in-law, Jane Verboomen, De Pere; brother-in-law, TJ (Kathy) Moran in Ojai, CA, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Romuald (Kathleen), Clarence (Roseann), Leonard, Paul and sister, Josephine (John Stienen) and his in-laws, Eddie and Betty Moran.

    Family and friends may visit St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, 437 Main St., Wrightstown, on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. He was born November 10, 1970 in Green Bay to Carl and Linda (Moran) Verboomen. He graduated from Xavier High School in 1989 and attended Fox Valley Technical College. He was a machinist for Ariens Manufacturing and for the past 20 years was a machinist at Van Zeeland Manufacturing in Little Chute.

    He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on TV, especially Brewers Baseball and Wisconsin Badger Football, and spending time with his friends at his trailer in Elcho.

    He is survived by his mother, Linda, in Wrightstown; his sister, Paula and brother-in-law John Loew in Pewaukee; and his nephew Emmett Loew, also in Pewaukee. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and other relatives.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Carl, his grandparents Mary and Andrew Verboomen and Edgar and Betty Moran as well as his God parents, Clarence and Roseanne Verboomen.

    Family and friends may visit at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St, Wrightstown, on Friday, November 17 from 3:00pm until the time of memorial service at 6:00pm with Deacon Ken Kabat officiating.     Heindl, Janet Mae


    Janet Mae Heindl, Kaukauna, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2009, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. Janet was born in the town of Vandenbroek on September 17, 1936, daughter of the late Andrew and Mildred (Riley) Heindl. Janet was employed for a time at Giddings and Lewis in Kaukauna, and enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as genealogy.

    She is survived by her brother: Roger Heindl of Kaukauna, as well as by nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

    The funeral liturgy for Janet will be held at 11 a.m. AM on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 10:30 until the hour of the service.

    Col. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked at Kobussen Busses as a mechanic for over 43 years. Col. Roger's true passion was for auctions. Buying and selling things was his specialty. He was an auctioneer for over 40 years and owned "Major Auction" and later "Major Sales."

    Col. Roger is survived by his son, Le Roy (Lisa) Heindl; daughters: Ginger Heindl and Virginia Ann Heindl; and a grandson, Eric Heindl. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet Heindl; and a daughter, Angela Heindl.

    A memorial celebration will be held TODAY, Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Vandenbroek Town Hall, located on the corner of Hwy 55 and Cty Road JJ. A private family burial has taken place at Kelso Cemetery, Kaukauna.

Karen loved her family and all kinds of animals.     Age 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at his home with his family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born on January 25, 1932 in Kaukauna, the son of the late Matt and Mary [Van Stipout] Van Dalen. He served his country in the United States Army. On August 22, 1980 he married Laura Swinton in Appleton. He was a member of the Kimberly Post # 60 of the American Legion for over 25 years. Jack was employed by Midtec in Kimberly for 17 years, retiring in April of 1997.

    He is survived by his wife Laura, Kimberly; his stepson, Larry [Pat] Luedtke, Appleton; his stepdaughter, Pat [Dick] Biese, Little Chute; his two sisters, Harriet Van Gompel, Kaukauna; Dorothy [Wayne] Malvertz, Forestville; and several step-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, 'Bill', Sylvester 'Van', Frank, Robert 'Bobbie', and Ray Van Dalan; his sisters, Agnes Menting and Rosie Dollar; and nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 17, 2001 at 7 p.m. at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery, Combined Locks.
