    James J. Wallace Parkside Care Center, Little Chute, formerly of Route 1 Fremont, age 79 died Thursday at Kaukauna Community Hospital. He was born March 13, 1908 in Darboy, the son of the late Daniel and Lena (Grode) Wallace. He married Stella Vanden Heuvel on May 13, 1930 in Little Chute. He was employed at Appleton Papers in Combined Locks for 34 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and Catholic Forsters.

    Survivors include four son and three daughters in-law; Earl and Carla, Combined Locks; Kenneth and Mary, Kaukauna; Roland and Bonnie, De Pere; William, Kaukauna; four daughters and sons in-law; Rosemary and Eugene Verhagen, Appleton; Grace and Mel Hietpas, Combined Locks; Donna and Dennis Eake, Readfieled; Patricia and Vic Van Grinsven, Chilton; four sisters; Rosella Sprangers, Green Bay; Isabell Stumpf, Darboy; Beatrice Buchinger, Kaukauna; Catherine Vanden Elzen, Appleton; three brothers; Daniel, Combined Locks; John and Clem both of Darboy; a brother in-law; Henry Stumpf, Neenah. 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

    He was preceded by his parents, a sister Margaret Stumpf and a brother Edward. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with the Rev. Paul Feider officiating. Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home in Fremont on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.

    Mrs. James Wallace (Stella Vanden Heuvel) 1201 Garfield Ave. Little Chute Age 89, passed away on September 12, 1997 at Parkside Care Center with her familyat her side. She was born October 28, 1907 in Little Chute. She was the daughter of the George and Minnie Vanden Heuvel. She was a member of St.John Catholic Church.
    Stella is survived by four sons and three daughter in-laws; Earl and Carla, Combined Locks; Ken and Mary, Kaukauna; Bill and Jean, Kaukauna; Oscar, Green Bay; four daughters and son in-laws; Rose and Eugene Ver Hagen, Appleton; Grace and Mel Hietpas, Combined Locks; Donna and Dennis Eake, Readfield; Pat and Vick Van Grinsven, Kaukauna; special friend,Edna Spierings: two brother in-laws; John Wallace, and Henry Stumpf; three sister in-laws; Margaret and Gerry Wallace; Gert Vanden Heuvel; 31 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

    Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James, in 1987; three sisters; Rosella (Al) Vandyn Hoven; Ruth ( Walley ) Romenesko, Merrelle (Wenzel) Romenesko, and four brothers; Martin (Min) Willard (Angeline) Edward (Edna) and Orville.

    Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 1997 at 5:15 p.m. at St John's Catholic Church with Rev. Mgsr. James Vanden Hogan officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. She leaves us with 100 descendents.

    George Vanden Heuvel

    Age 63, lifelong resident of the Town of Vandenbroek, died at his home at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness of two monts. He was born December 19, 1875, and was a meber of Holy Name Society.

    Survivors are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Albert Van Dynhoven, Mrs. James Wallace, Mrs. Wenzel Romenesko, Little Chute; Mrs. Walter Romenesko, Isaar; four sons, Martin, Town of Vandenbroek; Willard, Neenah; Edward, Freedom; Orville, Appleton; one sister, Mrs. Nicholas Derks, Little Chute; one brother, Cornelius, Little Chute; and 29 grandchildren.

    Vanden Heuvel Rites Held at Little Chute

    Little Chute-Funeral services for George Vanden Heuvel, 64, who died Wednesday at his home on route 1, Kaukauna, after a lingering illness were conducted Saturday morning at St. John church, Little Chute, by the Rev. John J. Sprangers. Burial took place in the parish cemetery and the Rev. Gerald Van Nuland had charge of the service at the grave. Arnold Hietpas, Martin Van Gomple and John Vanden Heuvel, members of the Holy Name Society of St. John church, attended the funeral in a body.

    Survivors are the widow, four sons: Martin and George, Little Chute; Willard, Menasha and Edward, route 2, Kaukauna; four daughters: Mrs. Albert Van Dynhoven, Mrs. Wenzel Romenesko, Mrs. James Wallace, Little Chute; Mrs. Walter Romenesko, Oneida; a brother, Cornelius Vanden Heuvel and one sister, Mrs. Nicholas Dercks, Sr., both of Little Chute.

  • Note: Carla (Dietzen) Wallace, 82, was born to eternal life January 11, 2014. Carla was born November 17, 1931 to Joseph and Clara Dietzen. She graduated from Kimberly High School.

    On October 15, 1955 she married Earl Wallace and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. While raising her family she spent time volunteering as a scout leader and working in the library at Jansen Elementary School. Carla enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and playing board games. Her favorite times were fish fry's and family gatherings many of which took place at the cottage in Amherst.

    Carla is survived by her husband Earl, children; Dave (Cindy) Wallace, Tom Wallace, Mary (Al) Van Gompel, Cathy (Charlie) Van Daalwyk, Lisa (Donny) Anderson, grandchildren; Amanda (Jesse) Schuchart, Christy (Tony Jr.) Megna, Brad Wallace, Nicole (Jim) Nelson, Mike (special friend Anastacia) Wallace, Chad (fiancé Jessica) Van Gompel, Jake (special friend Katia) Van Daalwyk and Jill Van Daalwyk, great grandchildren; Caitlin and Madison Wallace Aden Schuchart, Coraline and David Megna, Taylor, Connor, Makayla Nelson, Isaiah Wallace and Chelsey Van Gompel. Carla is further survived by her siblings, Shirley Better, Joseph (Rose) Dietzen, Marvin "Butch" Dietzen, Donna (Dick) Van Grinsven and her in-laws; Roland "Oscar" Wallace, Rose (Eugene) Verhagen, Grace (Melvin) Hietpas, Donna Eake, Bill (Jean) Wallace, Pat (Vic) Van Grinsven and Mary Wallace. Carla was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Clara Dietzen, brothers Ken Dietzen and Ronald Dietzen and in-laws; James and Stella Wallace, Grace Dietzen, Marcia Dietzen, Emil Better, Ken Wallace, Dennis Eake, and Margie Wallace and nephews, Daniel Dietzen and Bruce Van Grinsven and niece Ellen Fink.

    The funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St. Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating.     Kenneth Wallace 831 Ducharm St. Kaukauna

    Age 65, died Thursday, March 5, 1998 at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 28, 1932 in Darboy; son of the late James and Stella [VandenHeuvel] Wallace. On June 19, 1952 Ken married the former Mary Ann Bodde at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 42 years retiring in 1994. Ken loved sports, especially the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He also loved spending time at the 1000 Island Environmental Center. Ken was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, Kaukauna Moose Lodge 953, the Thilmany Quarter Century Club and the Catholic Knights.

    Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Wallace, Kaukauna; their children and spouses; Peggy [Mike] Mahn; Rick [Jackie] Wallace, and Richard [Kathy] Wallace, all of Kaukauna; seven grandchildren; Brian [Nicole]; Cory, and Joel Mahn; Matthew and Lindsay Wallace; Amy and Christopher Wallace; a great grandson; Tyler Mahn; three brothers and two sisters in-law; Earl [Carla] Wallace, Combined; William [Jean] Wallace, Kaukauna; Roland 'Oscar' Wallace, Green Bay; four sisters and brothers in-law; Rose [Gene] Verhagen, Appleton; Grace [Mel] Hietpas, Combined Locks; Donna [Dennis] Eake, Readfield; Pat [Victor] Van Grinsven, Kaukauna; numerous nieces and nephews.     He was preceded in death by two sisters in-law; Marge Wallace and Ruth Bodde; three brothers in-law; Robert and Virgil Bodde, and William Van Linn.

    Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. Bruial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of services. There will be no visitation at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
