Age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2003. Evelyn was born in the Town of Harrison, daughter of the late William and Hilda Franz. She married Elmer C. Vissers on June 15, 1946. Evelyn was a longtime active member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neenah, for 50 years. She was also a founding member of the churches Lutheran Girl Pioneers organization and a member of the church's Ladies Aide. Evelyn was also involved in the Winnebago County Merry Moppets Home Makers group since 1965. She was a talented seamstress who also enjoyed needlework, crafts, crocheting and participating in the church's bible study group. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Elmer C. Vissers two daughters, Lynn (John) Leech, Manassas, Virginia Christine (Wayne) Peters, Roscoe, Illinois two grandchildren: Jeremy and Lindsay Peters a brother, Robert (Joanne) Franz, Kaukauna and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 436 South Lake Street, Neenah, with Reverend Richard Maurice officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from noon until the time of services. A memorial is being established for the American Diabetes Association in memory of Evelyn.

Age 85, died Monday, February 10, 2003 at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, with her family by her side. Frances was born March 5, 1917 in Bear Creek daughter of the late Reinhardt and Bertha (Hermans) Le Noble. She married George G. Vissers, May 8, 1941 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton and enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. Frances was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and crocheting. Frances specifically enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frances is survived by her husband, George six children: Sister Georgellen Vissers, Kaukauna Phyllis (Thomas) Sprister, Little Chute Susan (Lloyd) Vosters, Kaukauna Dennis (Joyce) Vissers, De Pere James (Sharon) Vissers, Appleton John (Sharon) Vissers, Appleton 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren a sister, Henrietta Fleming four sisters-in-law: Marian (William) Van Asten, Geraldine (Donald) Pennings, Helen Le Noble, Frances Vissers two brothers-in-law: Elmer and Sylvester Vissers. Frances was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Ann Vissers her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Delia Vissers a sister, Minnie (Louis) Rollo six brothers: Charles (Isabelle), Raymond (Helen), Jake, William, Joseph and Norbert Le Noble a brother-in-law, Wilbert Vissers seven sisters-in-law: Ella (Jake) Van Wychen, Florence (Frank) Weyers, Harriet (Frank) Weyenberg, Minnie (Frank) Zwiers, Tillie (Ervin) Welhouse, Evelyn and Bonnie Vissers.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2003 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at St. John Church from 3 p.m. Thursday until the time of the mass. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul Home for the care and compassion given to their mother.

Zwiers, Morris M.
Morris M. Zwiers, 233 S. Sidney St., Kimberly, age 92, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, November 24, 2008. He was born in Oss, Holland on September 18, 1916, son of the late Frank and Marie Zwiers, and had been a Kimberly resident for the passed 58 years. Morris was proud to work for Thilmany's for 23 years and enjoyed his active 30 years of retirement. He was particularly proud of his family, especially his great-granddaughter, Phoenix, who kept him laughing and smiling for the last 20 months. His wife of 68 years, Gertrude, preceded him in death on May 4, 2004.
Morris is survived by his daughter, Carol Hooyman, Freedom; two sons and daughters-in-law: Leonard and Grace Zwiers, Forest Junction; James and Hideko Zwiers, Kimberly; eight grandchildren: Don (Sharon) Hooyman, Tim (Tracy) Hooyman and their dog, Munch, John (Kelly) Hooyman, Wayne (Sandy) Hooyman, Jeff (Chris) Hooyman, and Jamie, Jack "JJ", and Miki (Tamara) Zwiers; great-grandchildren: Nanette Gerritts, Ryan, Brooke, Luke, Kori, Matthew, Alex, Carter and MiliJo Hooyman, Pheonix and Maylahni Zwiers; great great-grandchildren: Hunter and Spencer Gerritts; sister Anna; and brother, Michael; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude; grandson, Buddy Hooyman; and brothers: Antone, Frank, Arnold, and Carl Zwiers; and son-in-law, Don Hooyman.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008, at the funeral home with John Hartzheim officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.

Michael Anthony Zwiers, 91, left this earth on Thursday, June 14, 2012, after a brief but brave battle with cancer to rejoin family and friends. He was born in Oss, Holland to the late Frank and Maria (VanOrsouw) Zwiers on August 23, 1920.
In life, Michael loved fishing, football, Cubs baseball, working on all kinds of projects for his family; he could fix anything, and especially spending time with the great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy for four years during WWII on a supply ship in the south pacific. He was very proud to have served his country. He retired from Thilmany at age 55, where he was a high pressure steam welder.
Michael leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Christine; sons: Dennis (Delores) Zwiers, DePere, Joseph (Sue) Zwiers, Kaukauna; a daughter, Sally (Wayne) Hietpas, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Kelly Zwiers, Madeline and Quentin Zwiers, Chad Rausch, Joseph and Sade Hietpas , David Hietpas, Charles (Lou)Hietpas, and Dan (Cindy) Hietpas; and great-grandchildren Tasha, Devin, Dennis, Annalee Bernice, Michelle Christine, and Payton Bernice. A sister Anna Huff, 97, Upper Michigan.
Michael was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice; 2 sons, Michael and Dwight; brothers: Arnold, Frank, Anthony, Carl and Morris Zwiers.
There will be no showing per Michael's request, and interment will take place at St. John Cemetery, Little Chute with Fr. Jerry Pastors presiding.
