    He was born on April 4, 1917, in Green Bay, to the late Arthur and Helena (Verheyden) Lardinois.

    Don was the second of seven siblings and lived in the area and Duck Creek for most of his life.

    On Sept. 2, 1939, he married Vernal Marks and she preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1981.

    He then married Alice Wesley on Nov. 24, 1984 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2007.

    Don was a real gentleman, soft spoken, friend to all. He worked at the Duck Creek Brick Co. and was owner/operator of the Kewaunee-Green Bay-Winona Transport Co. affiliated with the Green Bay & Western Railroad, retiring in 1980. Don enjoyed playing cards, bowling, horseshoes, traveling, family functions, and was an avid Packers fan. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. His Catholic religion meant very much to him. Don was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Duck Creek Council 6279.

    Survivors include his five children, Judith (Arlyn) Holewinski, PA; Sally (Gary) Kimps and Richard (Diane) Lardinois, all of Howard; Joanne (Judson) Simmons, Wendy (Todd) LaBorde, both of FL; grandchildren, Amy Holewinski, Carrie (Anthony) DiMaria; Craig (Laurie) Kimps; Carla (Dudley Birder) Kimps; Corey (Tina) Kimps; Laurie (Kenneth) Bollen; Timothy (Jennifer) Lardinois; Nicole (David Klabo) Simmons and Joshua Retzloff; 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Frank Lardinois, Howard; Merlin (Lorraine) Lardinois and 1 sister, Bonita Wagner, all of Green Bay.

    Don was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; grandson, David Lardinois; 1 brother, Carl (Alice) Lardinois; 3 sisters, Eunice (Leo) Roskom; Kathryn (Martin) Vande Corput; Betty (George) Wietor; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

    A Celebration of Don's Life with a visitation will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Monday (today), from 4 until 8 p.m.

    A family-led rosary will begin the visitation at 3:30 p.m. Visitation continues Tuesday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Howard. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating.

  • Note: Frank P. Lardinois, 93, Howard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. He was born in Green Bay on Feb. 22, 1920 to the late Arthur and Helena (Verheyden) Lardinois. Frank served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. He married his first wife Lorraine Michaels and she preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 1998. He married his second wife Lilla Rentmaster and she preceded him in death on May 2, 1986. Frank was employed as an electric wire welder at Northwest Engineering Co. for 20 years and then at FWD Corp. for 20 years until retiring. He loved to play cards and was an avid Packer fan. Frank was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the VFW and the American Legion.

    Survivors include his children, Jim Lardinois; Janice (Allen) Dettman; Wayne (Kay) Lardinois; Gary (Faye) Lardinois; Dale (Roberta) Lardinois; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joyce Lardinois; dear friend, Marcella Calewarts; one sister, Bonnie Wagner; brother and sister-in-law, Merlin (Lorraine) Lardinois. Further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

    Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; son, Ron Lardinois; sisters and brothers, Eunice Roskom; Donald and Carl Lardinois; Betty Wietor; Kathryn VandeCorput; brothers and sisters-in-law.

    Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, on Friday, Aug. 30 from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev.   • Note: Bonnie C. Wagner, 90, of Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was born on May 14, 1926 in Green Bay, to the late Arthur and Helena (Verheyden) Lardinois. She married Ernest Wagner Jr. on April 13, 1948. Bonnie worked at Stokely Canning in Howard and then began working at Larsen Canning where she was employed for over 30 years. She also worked as a Crossing Guard for the City of Green Bay just after her retirement. In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed playing cards with her nieces and anyone who would sit down with her, flower gardening, scrapbooking, listening to country and polka music, and doing word puzzles.

    Bonnie is survived by her children, Gil (Helen) Wagner, Russ (Connie) Wagner, and Dennis Wagner; daughter-in-law, Mary Wagner; grandchildren, Tim (Nickie) Wagner, Tammy (Brian) Lobner, Ted (Michelle) Wagner, Jesse Wagner, Jake Wagner, Bob (Jamie) Wagner, Ryan Wagner, Rick Wagner, and April (Kyle) Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Maison Huth, Lexie Huth, Sydney Lobner, Jacob Lobner, Dustin Wagner, Dylan Wagner, Devon Wagner, Briona Whalen, Marisa Wagner, Peyton Wagner, Deegan Wagner, Lawsen Wagner, Kastyn Wagner, and Wyatt Kuhn; brother, Merlin "Jack" (Lorraine) Lardinois; and many nieces and nephews.

    Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; one son, Terrance "Terry" Wagner; her parents; brothers and sisters, Don Lardinois, Frank Lardinois, Carl Lardinois, Katherine Vande Corput, Eunice Roskum, and Betty Wietor.

    Family and friends may visit St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Howard, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Fr.
