  • Note: Elaine L. Abraham, age 89, of Fremont, died on Friday, December 25, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on May 2, 1926, in East Bloomfield, WI, the daughter of the late Harvey and Esther(Kopitzke)Borchardt. On November 15, 1947, Elaine married Robert Abraham at St. John's Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1993. Elaine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fremont where she served with the Ladies Aid for many years. She was very proud of the fact that her home was so close to church, so she could walk there for services. Elaine volunteered for many years at Bethesda, she was also a member of the Fremont Historical Society and Wolf River American Legion Auxiliary Post 391. She waitressed for many years at Swedesky's(Ted Grandview) and cooked at the Wolf River Drive In. She also cleaned at Valley Bank for over 25 years. Elaine enjoyed canning, baking, gardening, doing needlepoint and embroidery. She also enjoyed babysitting her granddog Roxie and going to get ice cream with her; as well as taking trips up north to the cottage. Elaine is survived by five children, Mary(Eugene)Snyder, New London; Jim(Susan)Weyauwega; Joan(Gordon)VanOrnum, Fremont; Joyce Abraham, Weyauwega and Bill(Sandy)Abraham; eight grandchildren, Liz(Dave)Wydeven, Katie(Travis)Marg, Laura(Mike)Nowak, Kim(Mike)Dohm, Kyle Bockin, Brad Abraham, Andrea(Andy)Wanty and Bailey Abraham; 12 great-grandchildren, Brittani, Mitchell, Johnathon, Alyssa, Jamie, Brittany, Keegan, Kayla, Lindsey, Alec, Grace and Ryan; three great-grandchilren, Lucas, Kalob and Lenox; two grandpets, Roxie and Mandy; three brothers, Harvey(Bev)Borchardt, Jr., Fremont; Rollin(Diana)Borchardt, New London and Gale Borchardt, Weyauwega; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Abraham, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her son, Timothy; a granddaughter, Susan Snyder; a great-grandson, Dakota; a brother, Keith; a sister, Marilyn(Wilmer)Hannemann; her step-mother, Katheryn Borchardt; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack Abraham, Ken(Helena)Abraham, Muriel(Gilbert)Puls, Verna Radtke, Lucille Abraham and Bonnie Borchardt. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 107 Tustin Rd., Fremont. Pastor Stephen Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, from 9 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Lutheran Church.

    Elaine's family would like to extend a very special Thank you those people who provided such wonderful home care to her while she was still at home, as well as all of the wonderful people at Bethany Home, who took such great care of her. It was greatly appreciated.

  • Note: Jacob Johnathan Fenske, four months, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. Jacob was born on August 17, 2015 to Andrew and Becky (Schmidt) Fenske at Theda Clark.

    Jacob is survived by his parents, Andrew and Becky Fenske, a brother Alexander and a sister Isabella, maternal grandparents; Kathleen Schmidt and Tom (Sally) Schmidt, paternal grandparents Karen and George Glavee, two great grandfathers; Leonard Schmidt and Bill Fenske, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

    A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff and care givers at Children's Hospital in Neenah and Milwaukee and the Ronald McDonald house in Milwaukee.   • Death: He died on December 24, 2015, at age 74.
  • Note: Clark H. Hansen, age 74, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was born on August 9, 1941 in Porter County, Indiana and raised by Harvey and Esther (Peterson) Hansen in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.

    Upon graduating from Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek, Wisconsin in 1959, he was employed by American Motors in Kenosha. On May 9, 1964 he married the love of his life, Betty Oldenburg, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. Together they were blessed with their two daughters, Tracy and Cheri.

    Clark owned and operated many businesses, his very first was Tracy Frame Company located in Little Chute, Wisconsin. In later years he established, Try-Cher real estate/car wholesaler business in Appleton and raised his family there. He enjoyed collecting classic cars and loved to drive '60 Chevy's. He also traveled to many car shows and liked NASCAR racing.

    He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years in marriage, Betty; his two daughters, Tracy (Ron) Ebben of Appleton and Cheri (Dave) Wautlet of Appleton; four grandchildren, Blake Ebben, Claire Ebben, Brett Wautlet and Jenna Wautlet. He is further survived by his two sisters, Barbara Anderson and Shirley Starnes; brother-in-law, Bill (Joan) Oldenburg as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

    In addition to his parents Clark was preceded in death by his in-laws, Emery (Irene) Oldenburg; brothers-in-law, Bruce Anderson and Bob "Louie" Oldenburg.

    The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 starting at 11:00 am at COMMUNITY CHURCH OF APPLETON, 3701 N. Gillett Street. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am with Pastor Wade Hetrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Clark's name. Online condolences can be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Clark's family would like to extend a special thank you to family and friends who have visited him sharing their memories and bringing him comfort. The family also thanks the staff at The Bridges of Appleton and Theda Care Hospice for all the wonderful loving care and support given to Clark and his family.
