Sean was a graduate of Clintonville High School. He served his country after High school. Sean was a gifted poet; he charmed the world with his quick wit and big smile. He loved to play video games, longboard, or just hang out with his siblings. Sean was loved by all who met him for his kind heart, often caring more for others than himself. No matter what his struggles, he would be there first for those in need.

    Sean is survived by his father Philip Gorges (Lavaun) New London; mother Maggie Coenen (fiancé Tim Russell), Clintonville; his sister Amber-Ann Quaintance (Joshua) Marshfield; brothers Doniven and Jadyn Coenen at home, stepsister Vanessa Woodley (Chris Woodley), Cadillac, MI, grandmother, Margaret Fotherby, Prescott Valley, AZ; grandmother, Joyce Woldt, Waupaca; his special friend, Randi Ader, Appleton as well as two nephews, his beloved dog Bella, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Victor Gorges, maternal grandfather Earl Brasch Sr. and grandpa William Fotherby.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Greenville, with Rev. Nate Reichle officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church on Saturday from11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

  • Note: Susan Schroeder, 71, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. Susan was born on December 7, 1942 to Marvin and Helen (Meyer) Schroeder in Appleton. She worked first at Prange Department store then at the Appleton Water Works in the billing Department. Sue liked to travel and traveled to Alaska, Hawaii and took a cruise through the Panama Canal, along with many other trips. She enjoyed being a volunteer at the local schools and Appleton Medical Center. Sue was an animal lover and always had a treat for any pets she would run into. She especially loved her bird Buster. Susan was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Rebecca Lodge and TOPS.
    Susan is survived by two brothers; Mark (Wanda) Schroeder of Neenah and Thomas (Chris) Schroeder Cumberland, niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    The funeral for Susan will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Jane Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.   • Note: Age 73 passed away on Father's Day June 18 at Kindred Hospital in Milwaukee, due to complications from heart surgery, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 10, 1932 in Appleton to the late Gus and Magdalene (Dahlke) Schroeder. Roy was a lifetime member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was baptized, confirmed and attended grade school. He graduated from Appleton High School. Roy married Jeanett Klitzke on April 7, 1956. They just celebrated 50 years together. Roy served his country in Germany from 1953-1954. After the service he worked construction with his father until his father retired. Roy then worked for Wm. Tiede and Sons Construction and finally retired 11 years ago from Appleton Lathing. Roy also enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Lake Poygan.
    Roy is survived by his wife Jeanett; his children: Cheryl (Todd) Wilson; Keith Schroeder; Bonnie (Bruce) Carew; Kathy (Dennis) Remmel; grandchildren: Nicole, Kristin and Tim Wilson; Jessica, Melissa, twins Justin and Jaclyn Carew; Kayla and Travis Beyer; Hayley Remmel and Jeremy and Ashley Heenan. He is further survived by sons-in-law Larry Beyer and Joel Heenan, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
    He is preceded in death by his daughters: Carla Beyer, 2004 and Trudy Heenan, 2000; his parents; sisters Alice Neubert, Isabelle Meyer and Mildred Kluge.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday June 22, 2006 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church 129 S. Mason Street, Appleton with Pastors Paul Schuler and Jeffrey Verbeke officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday June 21, 2006 at Valley Funeral Home and again on Thursday June 22, 2006 from 10:00am until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established.

    Age 81, Appleton, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born on March 19, 1935 to the late Harry & Luella (Witt) Klitzke in Seymour. Jeanett married Roy C. Schroeder on April 7, 1956. She was a long-time member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her pride and joy was her family.

    Jeanett is survived by her daughters: Cheryl (Todd) Wilson, Bonnie (Bruce) Carew, and Kathy (Dennis) Remmel; grandchildren: Nicole Wilson (Adam Eichmeier), Kristin Wilson, Tim (Karrie) Wilson, Jessica Carew, Melissa (Kervin) Charles, Justin Carew, Jaclyn Carew, Kayla Beyer, Travis Beyer, Hayley Remmel, Jeremy Heenan, and Ashley Heenan (Nick Streble); great-grandchildren: Elli Wilson, Kaidan Charles, Kennedy Streble, Aaron Eichmeier, and Ashley Eichmeier; sisters: Caroline Kazik and Edith (Tom) Bakran; brother: Cliff (Sandy) Klitzke; sons-in-law: Larry Beyer and Joel Heenan.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son: Keith Schroeder; daughters: Carla Beyer and Trudy Heenan; siblings: Harold Klitzke, Bernice Hammel, Alan Klitzke, and Marcella Rusch.

    A Memorial Service for Jeanett will be held at 11AM, Friday, November 4, at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 129 S. Mason St, Appleton, with Rev. Thomas Mielke officiating. Friends may visit from 4 - 7PM, Thursday at Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home and on Friday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of service. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

    The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their compassionate and wonderful care of Mom.

    She is survived by two sons: Richard Neubert and Kenneth (Sandra) Neubert of Appleton seven grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Roy (Jeanette) Schroeder, of Appleton and two sisters-in-law: Lois (Louis) Ellenbecker of Appleton and Joyce (Gordon) Kearn, also of Appleton. She is also further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents,
    her husband, Milton,
    and a son, Jerry.
    Also preceeding her in death were
    two sisters: Isabel (Willis) Meyer and Millie (Leo) Kluge,
    and three brothers-in-law: Russell (Cecelia) Neubert, Ebben (Agnes) Neubert and Mills (Virginia ) Neubert.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at St. Mathew Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1316 Lawrence St. in Appleton at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Schuler officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Valley Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.

    George was born November 14, 1933 in Catawba, the son of George and Rose (Kempen) Timmers. George worked and lived most of his life in Milwaukee. He has been a Tomahawk resident for the past 20 years. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and putzing on motors. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

    Survivors include: siblings, Gerald (Gloria) Timmers, New Berlin, Florence (Harold) Kurth, Pewaukee, Herbert (Bonnie) Timmers, Mukwonago, Julie Appleton, Waukesha, Henry (Karen) Timmers, New Berlin, Mary (Steve) Haigler, Bayside, Wilbert (Donna) Timmers, Waterford. George is further survived by a brother-in-law – Robert Amrhein of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Audrey, and two sisters – Jeanette Armstrong and Shirley Amrhein.

    A Memorial Mass for George Timmers will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial of George’s ashes will take place in the spring.

  • Note: Clara O. Basler, of Kaukauna, formerly of Menasha, age 92, died Wednesday December 2, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on January 4, 1923 in Pittsville to the late Louis and Anna (Dachel) Meier. Clara married Hercel Basler on May 22, 1943 at St. Patrick Parish in Menasha. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1995 after 52 years of marriage. Clara retired from Kimberly Clark in 1984 after 35 years of service. After her retirement, she and Hercel were able to travel. They particularly enjoyed their trips to Nevada. Clara's hobbies included sewing, quilting, embroidery and puzzles. She was always ready with a deck of cards for a game of 500 Rummy or Solitaire.

    Clara is survived by her children: Dorothy Mitchell of Kaukauna; Ken (Susan) Basler of Neenah; Carol (Bruce) Kaehler of Neenah; and Pat (Diane) Basler of Menasha; grandchildren: Sharon (Kevin) Johnson, Jim (Barb), Dave (Pam) and John (Lisa) La Plant, Michelle and Mike (Tammy) Mitchell, Susan (Keith) Thon, Linda (Dan) Luneau, Jeff (Jody) Basler, Kristina (Dave) Schmidt, Wesley (Amber) and Andrew (Sarah) Basler, Kelly Klapper, Karry Christensen, Garrett Kaehler, Rhonda Ramirez, Todd Kaehler, Heather (Mike) Junek, Zachary and Benjamin Basler; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Noel Meier; and brothers-in-law: Gerald (Joyce) Basler and James Collins Jr. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Hercel, Clara was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Leo Mitchell; brothers: Leo, Arnold (Phyllis), Raymond (Elaine) and Godfrey Meier; sisters: Philomena (Arthur) Boreson and Mary Meier; and brothers and sisters-in-law: William (Annalise), Harold, Roger (Delores), Arthur (Lillian) and Marvin (Ruby) Basler, Rosie Suess and Florence "Tootsie" (Ralph) Lambert.

    Visitation will be held Monday December 7, 2015 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH (2401 Main Ave. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
