    Age 69, of New London, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. Bill was born on September 26, 1939 in New London, son of the late Elmer and Viola (Schoen) Kopitzke. On September 30, 1961 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Wetmore at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Bill graduated from Washington Senior High School, New London. He worked at Elmer’s Grocery Store in New London for many years. He also worked at Curwood for many years; retiring in 2002. Bill was know as a jokester. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards and hanging out at the Quiver N Minnow. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London and served on various boards for many years. Bill was a New London Alderman for over 22 years.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie; a daughter, Kristine (Mark) Dawes, New London; their sons, Cody Dawes (special friend Melinda) and Damon Dawes (special friend Taylor); a son, Kirk Kopitzke, Medina; his daughter, BreeAnne (Matthew) Vargo; a brother, Dennis (Karen) Kopitzke, New London. He is further survived by brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

    He is preceded in death by his parents.

    Funeral services for Bill will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Bill Heiges officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation for Bill will be held at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

    Bill, Thanks for all the years together. I’ll miss you so much. Thanks for the two wonderful children. Love you always, Bonnie.

    Dad, Thank you for being the best dad. I will miss you so much. I will always be proud to be “Billy’s” daughter. Love you so much, Kris.

    Age 70 years passed away in the early morning of October 23, 2009. She was born December 3, 1938 in Appleton, Wisconsin and moved to Michigan when she was three years old. Her family built and operated Moss’ Golf Course now known as Riverwood Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Upon graduation from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1957, Janet went on to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1961 and her Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. She just celebrated her 50 year Sigma Kappa anniversary with her fellow sorority sisters. Janet began her teaching career in 1961. She was first an English teacher, then counselor, and finally Dean of Students at Bay City Central High School from which she retired in 1997. Janet loved her family, playing golf, reading books, doing puzzles, and playing video games. She was a member of the Bay City Country Club, the Sun City Lakes West Golf Club in Sun City, AZ, the Church of St. Boniface, the Michigan Education Association, and the Bay City Education Association.
    She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John and their two daughters: Amy (Gary) Rohdy of Farwell, Lisa (Scott) Grubbs of Sterling Heights; her four loving grandchildren: Emily and Keegan Rohdy, Brian and Stephanie Grubbs; her sister Dorothy Kreps of South Bend, IN, along with numerous other friends and family members.
    Janet was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Mildred Moss; and her niece, Kelcey Kreps.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Church of St. Boniface. Rev. Dale A. Orlik will preside and private family interment will be Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Visiting hours with the family will be Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel with Vigil Prayer Service on Sunday at 7:00 pm also at the Trahan Chapel.
