  • Note: Richard “Dick” Hahn, age 81, of Little Chute, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 30, 2017. He was born on October 14, 1935, in Iola, son of the late Clarence “George” and Evelyn (Madson) Hahn. On August 10, 1957, Dick married Bea Hinkens, and together they would have shared 60 years of marriage this month.

    Dick proudly served his country in the Unites States Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 Little Chute and the Kaukauna VFW Post #3319. Dick was also a very active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loyal backer of A.A. for over 40 years, and was very honored to be of such help to so many people in the program. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and his trips to Canada with his sons. Family time was very important to Dick, especially time spent with his grandchildren.

    Dick is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Bea Hahn; his children: Sue Miller, Gerald (Edna) Van Eyck, Paula (Bob) Vander Weyst, Dennis (Michelle) Hahn; a daughter-in-law, Lois Van Eyck; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

    Dick was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn; a son, Phil Van Eyck; grandson, Alex Johnson; great granddaughter, Alexa Price; his twin, Ronald Hahn; sisters: Catherine Lust and Georgia Fischer.

    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be held at the VERKUILEN-VAN DEURZEN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 101 CANAL STREET, LITTLE CHUTE, on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Full military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #258, the Kaukauna VFW Post #3319 and the U.S. Marine Corps. Peter & Anna Louisa Wolf

    On Friday, April 6th, 1928, Peter Wolf, a veteran of the civil war and a highly respected citizen, died at his home in the town of Woodville at the advanced age of 86 years. The deceased was born in Germany in 1842 and in 1852 came to the United States with his parents who located in Waukesha county. There he grew to young manhood and when the civil war broke out he offered his services to his adopted country, enlisted in Company H of the Fourth Wisconsin Calvary and served three years, until his discharge on May 28th, 1866. In 1867 with other members of the family he came to Calumet county and purchased a tract of land in the town of Woodville where he resided until he retired from active farm work and moved to the village of Brillion. After the death of his second wife, some four years ago, he returned to the farm to make his home with his son Ferdinand, who had taken over the homestead.
    Peter Wolf was recognized as a man of character, honorable and upright as a citizen and devoted to family and friends. He was a frequent visitor to this city and enjoyed a large acquaintance who were always glad to meet him. He was one of the few surviving member of the Civil war and until ill health prevented, was a frequent visitor at the meetings of the Grand Army Post.
    He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John L. Maile of Brillion and five sons, Fred and Andrew of Brillion, William, Ferdinand and Edward in the town of Woodville. The funeral was held on Monday from the Lutheran church in the town of Woodville.

She was born on April 16th, 1943, in New London, daughter of the late Alfred Sr. & Virginia (Alberts) Bellile. She was united in marriage to Donald Carlson on December 8th, 1978. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid Badger fan and a member of the Big Red Booster Club. Darlene worked at Simmons for many years before retiring in 1999 and also was a recording secretary for the Steel Workers Union. She also worked at Appleton Medical Center for several years and helped out managing the family farm.

    Darlene is survived by her husband Donald; her children, Darin Palmer (fiancée Jackie Johnson), Kristina (Eric) Palmer-Stamper, Ryan (Jessica) Carlson and Dace (Cynthia) Carlson; grandchildren, Jenalle Johnson, Jeremiah (Cara) Johnson, Leah (Brian) Kern, Kimberly (Cory) Huettl, Jared Colwitz, Owen Carlson, Jayden Carlson, Josephine Erickson and Wyatt Erickson; great-grandchildren, Landon Kern, Mason Kern, Allison Kern and Jessa Huettl. She is also expecting another great grandchild in the near future.

    She is further survived by brothers, Dale (Sally) Bellile, Sandy (Gerald) Wolfgram, Dennis Bellile, David (Diane) Bellile, Don Bellile, Debbie (Tom) Kling, sister-in-laws, Marsha Bellile, Carol Rettler (Gerald Uhlenbrauck); brother-in-laws, Ken (Shinobu) Carlson and Dennis (Genie) Carlson. Darlene is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kevin, Bill and Alfred Bellile Jr., and sister-in-laws Barb Bellile, Janice Carlson and Patricia Bellile and brother-in-law James Carlson, mother-in-law and father-in-law Josephine & Earl Carlson and an uncle Glenn Carlson.

    A funeral service will be held for Darlene on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline-Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. Peter Mitchell officiating. A visitation will be on Monday, March 23rd from 4-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. A memorial fund has been established.
