  • Note: Kenneth J. Allen passed away on February 6, 2015, at the age 76 at the Unity Hospice - Jack and Engrid Meng Residence. Ken was born on March 16, 1938, to Louis and Bertha (Dappern) Allen. Ken graduated from Premontre High School in 1956 and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1956 to 1964. He married the former Karen Seifert on June 29, 1963, at West Kewaunee United Methodist Church. Ken began working at Tape Inc. in 1956 and started farming in the Town of Humboldt in 1963. He began his second career as a truck driver for Brother's Dairy in 1987, retiring in February 2013. Ken's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and working on the farm. He also enjoyed spending time by the lake with his family and friends.

    Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen; and his children, Kathleen (Rick) Jadin, Kenneth (Karla) Allen Jr, Karl (Vicki) Allen, Keith (Shelley) Allen, Bonnie (Michael) Willems, Robert (Juanita) Allen, and Lisa (Doug) Koerner. Ken is further survived by the light of his world, his grandchildren, Amber Willems, Joshua Koerner, Sara Johns, Tyler, Bryce, Brayden, Aubrey, Keeley and Presley Allen. Ken is survived by two sisters, Virginia (Ray) Jaeger, Judith (Gary) Guth; one brother, Gerald (Caroline) Allen; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Judith) Seifert, Morris (Linda) Seifert, Keith (Tarra) Seifert, and Thomas (Alice) Seifert; and many nieces and nephews.

    Ken is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Allen; parents; and three brothers, Larry, Darrell and Dennis Allen.

    Friends may call from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. Visitation will continue from 10:00am until 10:45am on Monday, February 9, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Green Bay, 501 Howe St., Green Bay.     Karen Allen, 73, Bellevue, passed away on November 24, 2015 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Green Bay on September 12, 1942 to Erwin and Eleanore (Wiese) Seifert. She married Kenneth Allen on June 29, 1963 in West Kewaunee WI. Kenneth preceded her in death in February 2015.

    Karen graduated from Luxemburg- Casco High School and took her first job working in a secretarial position at the City of Green Bay. She began working as a legal secretary in 1966 by chance when she filled in for friend at the Westering and Martinson Law Office. She worked at a number of law firms over her career; ending her career in August 2015 due to her illness. Her ultimate goal was to work in law for 50 years; falling one year short of her goal. During her career she earned her Legal Assistant certificate. She was an active member of the Wisconsin Association of Legal Professionals for many years including serving a term as President.

    She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

    Karen's greatest joys were her family, friends and career. Her grandchildren were an important part of her life and she was looking forward to holding her first great grandchild in January.

    Karen is survived by her children, Kathleen (Rick) Jadin, Kenneth (Karla) Allen Jr, Karl (Vicki) Allen, Keith (Shelley) Allen, Bonita (Mike) Willems, Robert (Juanita) Allen, and Lisa (Doug) Koerner. Karen is further survived her grandchildren, Amber Willems, Joshua Koerner, Sara Johns, Tyler, Bryce, Brayden, Aubrey, Keeley and Presley Allen. Karen is survived by her brothers, Wayne (Judy) Seifert, Morris (Linda) Seifert, Keith (Tarra) Seifert, and Thomas (Alice) Seifert; Sister-in-law's, Virginia (Ray) Jaeger, Judith (Gary) Guth; one brother-in-law, Gerald (Caroline) Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

    Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and son, Jeffery Allen; and parents.

    Friends may call from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. Visitation will continue from 10:00am until 10:45am on Monday, November 30, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Green Bay, 501 Howe St., Green Bay. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday at the church with Rev. David Kalas officiating.

  • Note: Gerald "Jerry" F. Allen, 67, Green Bay resident, passed away unexpectedly due to an incident in his shop on April 13, 2016. Jerry was born October 20, 1948 in Green Bay to the late Louis and Bertha (Dappern) Allen. On April 27, 1968, Jerry married his high school sweetheart, the former Caroline Leiterman. Together they shared almost 48 years of marriage. Jerry worked for Tape Inc. for five years, and after worked for the Brown County Highway Department for 31 years until his retirement. Jerry, a truck driver at heart, continued to drive for Ron Holda Trucking during his retirement until last year. He and his family loved to spend time at the cottage up north. Jerry looked forward to his Tuesday morning breakfasts with co-workers and the joyrides he took in "Little Lou." He could fix anything and was often found working on jobs for others. The light of Jerry's life was his family, especially his grandchildren. His lap always held at least one grandchild.

    Jerry will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Caroline; Paul (Shelly Wolf) Allen, Bonduel; Kevin (Holly) Allen, Denmark; Jennifer (Kelly) Stein, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Travis (Ashley Rukamp) Allen, Tracy (Brian Dworak) Allen; Courtney and Chelsea Allen; and Jayden, Spencer and Isabel Stein. Jerry is further survived by sisters, Virginia (Ray) Jaeger and Judy (Gary) Guth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ron) DeBauche, Arleene (Jeff) Miller, Andy (Marion) Leiterman, Anna Jefferson, and Fred (Flo) Leiterman; and many special nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Edwin and Helen Leiterman; brothers: Ken, Larry, Darrell, and Dennis Allen; and brother-in-law, Don Leiterman; and sister-in-law, Rosaleen Leiterman.

    Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Sunday, from 1 to 6 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., at 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at the church with Rev.
