  • Note: Elayne Dreger, Kaukauna, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was born on February 21, 1925 to the late Earl and Lillian (Horne) Bey. On August 24, 1963 she married Vincent "Windy" Dreger in Newald, WI.

    Elayne enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, making Christmas candies, canning, listening to Brewer games, as well as eating popcorn and drinking a beer with Windy on Packer Sundays. She especially enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

    She is survived by her children: Rick (Kathy) Otis, Sheliah Otis and Todd (Cheryl) Dreger; grandchildren: Roberta (Greg) Lamb, Nicole (Jason) Schulz, Jenny (Scott) Wagner, Jason (Jill) Otis, Donovan and Abby Dreger; great-grandchildren: Julia and Anna Otis, and Carli, Emily and Evan Wagner; sister, Joan (Robert) Cleerman; as well as many other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Windy; son, Duane Otis; and her brother, Duane (Margaret) Bey.

    Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5:00 pm until the time of funeral at 7:00 pm at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St., Little Chute). The Rev.   • Note: Florence "Flossie" M. Planert, 93, of Black Creek, passed away Monday evening, October 13, 2014 at Rennes Nursing Home in Appleton. She was born April 19, 1921 daughter of the late William and Mathilda (Spreeman) Bahr. On December 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Carlton Planert in the Town of Center. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2006.

    She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Black Creek.

    Florence and Carlton farmed in the Town of Center on the family farm where Florence was born, until their retirement. Florence also waitressed at Mer and Jackie's for many years.

    Florence is survived by two sons: Lee (Carol) Planert, Appleton; and Bruce (Karen) Planert, Freedom; daughter, Carla (Bill) Oskey, Kaukauna; five grandchildren: Lori (Bill) Fink, Corey (Tina) Planert, Eric (Sue) Planert, Ryan (Carrie) Planert, and Terri (Bruce) Romitti; 10 great-grandchildren. Further survived by nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by two sisters: Marie (Ted) Wolfgram and Gertrude (Clarence) Schucknecht; two brothers: George (Gertrude) Bahr and August (Hilda) Bahr; two sisters-in-law: Florence (Clarence) Birkholz and Gladys (Roman) Birkholz.

    Friends may call at St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Mark Schwinn officiating.
