Ruth Ellen Goldbeck

  • Note: Ruth E. Priebe, age 83 of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was born on December 31, 1930 in Appleton, to the late Charles and Marie (Behle) Goldbeck. Ruth graduated from Fox Valley Technical School in 1952 and worked as a secretary for Foremost Dairies, Fox Tractor and Kimberly-Clark. Ruth retired in 1962 to marry Harvey Priebe, whom she met while working at Fox Tractor, and became a full time mom. Ruth lived a life of faith in Christ and touched many lives as she served in children's ministries, Club JC and teaching vacation Bible school, she truly loved children. She enjoyed painting, gardening and reading. Ruth gave freely of herself, in practical ways, to those around her. She shared her faith, gave of her time and opened her home on many occasions when the need arose.

    She is survived by her five children; Rick Priebe, Cindy (Dennis) Murphy, Randy (Jill) Priebe, Douglas (Denise) Priebe, and Brian Priebe, seven grandchildren; Christopher, Ben, Gina, Brad, Jeff, Tina and Tyler and 10 great grandchildren; Mason, Maya, Preston, Taitt, Cashton, Coy, Myles, Charlie H., Ethan and Charlie S. Ruth is further survived by her brother, Carl (Sandy) Goldbeck and her sister, Iola (Gordon) Walker.

    Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harvey.

    A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 11:00AM, on July 11, 2014 at Crossroads Four Square Church, 1209 London St, Menasha, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established for ICA Ministries, Children's Homes that were started with an aim to show compassion of Jesus Christ in a practical and caring way. A ministry Ruth has supported for several years.

    The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and Senior Helpers for all their loving care of our mother, and a special thank you to Mick and Cindy & Jim and Sarah.

  • Note: Rickey (Rick) Lee Priebe, 70, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2015, at Bridgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Rick was born on January 16, 1945, son of the late Harvey and Margaret (Locke) Priebe, Jr.

    In 1960, Rick received The Nashville Youngest DJ award, then went on to work at various radio stations throughout the Appleton area. In 1963, Rick graduated from Appleton West High School. Rick worked for Kimberly-Clark at the Lakeview Mill for many years as well as Sammy's Pizza in Appleton. Later in life, Rick worked as a Wal-Mart greeter and a shuttle driver for Les Stumpf Ford.

    Rick was an avid collector of lighthouses, hats, coffee mugs, sports memorabilia, movies, music and countless other items. Throughout his life he liked to take care of his yard, house, cars, aquariums & pets.

    Rick is survived by: his daughter Penny Myers, Neenah; 2 sons: Brad (Renee) Priebe, Appleton, and Jeff (Angela) Priebe, Texas; sister Cindy (Dennis) Murphy, Appleton; brother Randy (Jill) Priebe, Appleton; 5 grandchildren: Madeline Myers, Matthew, Jason, Ryan, and Mitchell Priebe; nieces & nephews and his 2 dogs "the boys" Stan and Ollie. He was preceded in death by: his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and an uncle.

    A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Valley Funeral Home.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Bridgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Affinity Visiting Nurses, Heartland Home Care and Hospice, and all of the other invaluable friends, family and facilities that helped with Rick's care.

    A special thank you to my stepmother, Bonnie Priebe, who has enabled me to keep my dad's dogs for him and my uncle, Randy Priebe, who has guided me through each ever changing day. Love, Penny.

    Brian was born on September 3, 1966 in Appleton, the son of Harvey and Ruth (Goldbeck) Priebe, Jr., Brian's joy in life was his son, Tyler and his guitars, keyboards and the church band. He graduated from Appleton East and played on the Tennis team. Brian was formerly employed at the Outagamie County Airport.

    Brian is survived by his son, Tyler and Tyler's mother, Kim Hollingsworth. He is further survived by three brothers, Rick Priebe, Randy (Jill) Priebe and Douglas (Denise) Priebe and a sister, Cindy (Dennis) Murphy, an aunt, Iola Walker, an uncle, Carl Goldbeck, nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.

    Brian was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

    A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Crossroads Foursquare Church, 1209 London Street, Menasha, with the Rev. Michael L. Huff officiating. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Brian's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of other expression of sympathy a memorial fund is being established for his son Tyler's education.

    Brian's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, the Oncology Department, ManorCare and Heartland Hospice for all of their care, love and compassion shown to Brian and his family.
