    FRANK WALTERS DIES ON FRIDAY--RETIRED EMPLOYE OF FUEL COMPANY
    Frank Walters Sr., 66, retired employee of North Western-Hanna Fuel Co. , died unexpectedly Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the family home, 1 040 Blaine St. He had been ill only three days. Mr. Walters was a maint enance man for the North Western-Hanna company for many years. He wa s a veteran of World War I and belonged to the American Legion post her e and Sportsmen's club of Porterfield. He was born October 4, 188? [sic ] in Marinette and spent his early life at Porterfield. On May 16, 192 3 he married the former Ethel Peterson of Menominee.
    Surviving with his wife are five sons and three daughters. They are Robe rt, Leonard, Frank Jr., Roger and Miss Doris Walters of Marinette, Kennet h Walters in the Navy stationed in Cuba, Mrs. Philo Harris and and Mrs. C lifford Champeau of Menominee. Also surviving are three brothers and si x sisters. They are John , Albert , and Edward Walters of Porterfield, M r. Fred McCabe and Mrs. Howard Carviou of Marinette, Mrs. Arthur Bryson o f Escanaba, Mrs. Louise Prill, Mrs. William Newbauer and Mrs Elmer Koppe r of Milwaukee. Eight granchildren also survive.
    The Rev. Charles Burmeister of St. James Lutheran church will read the se rvice Monday at 2 a.m. in the Hansen and Onion funeral home. Full milita ry rites will be conducted at Forest Home cemetery where burial will be m ade. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until the h our of the rites.

    Mrs. Eleanor Carviou, 83, died today at Peshtigo Nursing Home, where she had resided for the past two years.
    She formerly resided at route 2, Marinette. The former Eleanor Walters was born Jan. 6, 1892, in the Town of
    Lake. She resided there until 1944 when she moved to Marinette. In 1948, Mrs. Carviou moved to highway 180.
    She was married to Howard Carviou on April 23, 1913, at Walsh. He died in June, 1967. She was a member of
    Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Marinette, and the Altar Society of the church.
    Survivors include six sons, Vincent of Pembine; Donald, Francis Creek; Lester, Walter, Kenneth, and Robert,
    all of Marinette; two daughters, Mrs. John N. Konyn, Marinette, and Mrs. Wendell Berman, Peshtigo; a brother,
    Edward Walters, Marinette; five sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Newbauer and Mrs. Clara McCabe, both of Marinette; Mrs.
    Louise Prill and Mrs. Elmer Koeper, both of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Mary Bryson, Escanaba, Mich.; 52
    grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
    Friends may call at Thielen funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A wake service will be held at the funeral
    home at 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
    The Rev. Robert Hogan will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Walsh.

    Mrs. Clara McCabe, 86, who for the past three years has resided with he r daughter Mrs. George Jansen Jr., at 1321 Oakes St., died Tuesday evenin g at Marinette General Hospital. She was a former resident of 1040 Curri e St. The former Clara Walters was born here July 16, 1893. She was mar ried to Fred McCabe June 26, 1912, in Walsh. The couple had farmed in th e Town of Lake until 1943 when they moved here. He died in 1962. Mrs. M cCabe was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
    Survivors include two sons, Bernard and Clarence, both of Marinette; thre e daugters, Mrs. Muriel Stepniak, Mrs. George Jansen Jr. and Mrs. Bernic e Pecard, all of Marinette; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Koeper and Mrs. Loui se Trill, both of Milwaukee, Mrs. Cecilia Newbauer of Marinette and Mrs . Marie Bryson of Escanaba, 26 grandchildren and36 great-grandchildren . Two sons, four brothers, a sister and a grandchild died previously.
    Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday . A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Final rites will be held at 1 1 a.m. Friday at the church. The Rev. Robert Hogan will officiate. Buri al will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

    JOHN WALTERS DIES SUNDAY
    Peshtigo--John H. Walters, 68, route 1, Peshtigo, died Sunday at 9:10 p.m . at the Marinette General Hospital which he had entered that afternoon . Mr. Walters was born Jan. 30 1897, in Marinette, the son of the late M r. and Mrs. Henry Walters and spent his entire life in the area. He farm ed for many years in Porterfield and was employed by the Marinette Count y Hospital for six years prior to his retirement in 1962. In 1920 he mar ried the former Ann Bernoski who died in 1948. On Oct. 29, 1949, he marr ried the former Laura Menor at Crivitz. She survives along with one step son, Warren Menor, of Menominee, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Kenneth Behren d of Green Bay, Mrs. Orville Sterzing of Porterfield and Mrs. E. L. Dahle n of Waukesha, and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Al bert of Porterfield and Edward of Marinette; six sisters, Mrs. Howard Car iviou route 2, Marinette, Mrs. Fred McCabe and Mrs. William Newbauer bot h of Marinette, Mrs. Arthur Bryson of Escanaba, and Mrs. Louise Prill an d Mrs. Elmer Koeper both of Milwaukee. He is a member of Zion Lutheran C hurch in Peshtigo.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran churc h with the Rev. Delton J. Tills officiating. Burial will be in Glenwoo d Memorial Gardens in the Town of Peshtigo. Friends may call at the Harp er funeral home from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and therea fter at the church.

    Mrs. Cecelia Newbauer, 81, of 1321 1/2 Oakes St., died Monday evening a t Marinette General Hospital. She was born in Marinette March 11, 1899 , and attended schools in the Porterfield area. She moved to Milwaukee w here she lived for many years, returning to Marinette 17 years ago. Th e former Cecelia Walter was married to Walter Newbauer June 7, 1952. H e died in October 1957. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church and th e Altar Society.
    Surviving are a son, Donald, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and two daughters, Mrs. V irginia Nerdahl of Menominee Falls and Mrs. Ruth Wendorf of St. Paul, Min n.; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Bryson of Escanaba, Mrs. Louise Prill an d Mrs. Dorothy Koeter, both of Milwaukee, and four grandchildren. Four b rothers and two sisters died previously.

    ALBERT WALTERS STRICKEN AT 65
    Albert N. (Curly) Walters, 65, of route 2, Marinette, died at his home Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was born in the Town of Porterfield on Aug. 22, 1906. During his early life, he spent some time in construction work and was also employed in a glove factory for several years. For the past 40 years, he owned and operated a farm in the area. Mr. Walters was an avid hunter and was a member of Harmony and Porterfield Sportsman's Clubs. He was a member of St. Joseph Church of Walsh.
    On Feb 18, 1939, he married the former Mary Miller at Crivitz. She survives along with four sons, Russell of Marinette; James, Gerald and Garald, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. George Eggener and Mrs. Gerald Wedin, both of Marinette; Mrs. Lee Sanborn of Peshtigo; Mrs. Roger Vista of Town of Porterfield; a step-son, Robert Miller of Iowa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Walters of Crivitz; a brother, Edward of Marinette; six sisters, Mrs. Howard Carviou, Mrs. Fred McCabe, Mrs. William Newbauer, all of Marinette; Mrs. Arthur Bryson of Escanaba, Mich.; Mrs. Louise Prill and Mrs. Elmer Koeper, both of Milwaukee; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Thielen funeral home after 4 p.m. on Tuesday and until time of services on Wednesday at the church in Walsh at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fridolin Olschowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
