  • Note: Bonita S. Duprey, age 89, of Kaukuana, passed away on July 4, 2017. She was born to the late Carl and Rose (O’Donnell) Weigman. Bonnie attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Kaukauna High School. She married Ralph Duprey, the love of her life on May 14, 1949, and enjoyed 68 years together. They were blessed with three children.

    Bonnie was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Alter Society and was a Eucharist Minister. She volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul. Bonnie enjoyed spending the winters at Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. She loved traveling to all parts of the United States and especially Ireland and England. Bonnie will be remembered for her love of golfing, which she once had a hole in one, her love of her family and for her baking she did for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; her daughters: Connie (John) Manki, Menasha, and Ellen (Rog) Schmidt, Kaukauna; a son, George (Jane) Duprey, Elmhunst, Ill.; grandchildren: Derek Manki, Chicago, Ill., Marisa (Louis) Fisher, Darboy, Adam (Miranda) Schmidt, Evansville, Matt (Kelly) Schmidt, Kaukauna, Kalla (Ross) Ford, Pewaukee, Jessica (Tom) Brown, Elmhunst, Ill., Sara (Steve) Kuczkowski, Romeoville, Ill., Anthony (Jenny) Duprey, Elmhunst, Ill., Michelle (fiance, Brian Spencer) Duprey, Austin, TX; 18 great grandchildren; siblings: Rosella Peterson, Joan Cozzi and Jerry Weigman; sisters-in-law: Tess Roberto and Marian Casper; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters: Rita Joosten, Jane Heraly and Mary Agnes; brothers: Don, Bill, Norman, Ambrose, Leo and Carlie Weigman.

    Visitation will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Schmidt Chapel at St. Paul Elder Services, 316 E. 14th Street, Kaukauna, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Werner Wolf will be officiating, assisted by Deacon Steve Van De Hey. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rickshaw Fund at St. Paul Elder Services would be appreciated.

    The family would like to thank all the staff at the St. Paul Home for their wonderful care and compassion for both of our parents.

  • Death: Ruth M Jury died on May 1, 2014, at age 83.
  • Note: Ruth M. Schallie, age 83, passed away at Theda Clark Medical Center on Thursday, May 1, 2014. She was born in Minnesota, on September 23, 1930 the daughter of the late George and Mae Jury. On January 9, 1948 she married Leon Schallie Sr. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Ruth was the owner of Ruth's Cafe in Menasha and often helped Leon with his business as well, Lee's spray painting. Later in life she enjoyed taking trips to the casino and to the VFW to play bingo. She had many pets throughout the years some of them being birds and dogs. She enjoyed her family coming for visits.

    Ruth is survived by her son, Leon Jr. "Mike" (Bonnie) Schallie of Menasha, two daughters: Robin (Stephen Lust) Schallie of Neenah and Barbara (David) Cotter of Menasha, one son-in-law, Robert Loch of Milwaukee; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Travis) Cotter, Beth (Ben) Boehnlein, Mickey (Katie) Schallie, and Morgan Schallie-Lust; two step-grandchildren, Michelle and Jennifer Lust, four great-grandchildren: Alec and Ashton Boehnlein, Derrek and Becca Schallie, one brother, Chuck (Barbara) Jury, one sister, Helen (Earl) Berndt; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Leon who passed away in 2001, daughter, Vicki Schallie-Loch, two brothers, Art and Jim and three sisters: Susan, Betty and Shirley.

    Funeral Service for Ruth will be at 12pm noon, on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.

    The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Preferred Health Care, while she was in their care for one and a half years, especially Joanie and Margie. Also the family would like to thank all the staff and friends at Lakeside Commons.
