  • Note: Henrietta J. De Beukelar, 99, formerly of De Pere, passed away with family by her side, on Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Green Bay. She was born on September 3, 1914 in the Town of Rockland to the late Peter and Anna (Geurts) De Beukelar. She was like a second mother to the Wollenberg children. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Church in De Pere where she helped with quilting, couponing, and refunding. She worked at Santa Maria Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, and cheering on the Packers. She also enjoyed helping and being of service to other people.

    She is survived by her sister Frances Wollenberg; nieces: Pat Wery, Judy (Jim) Van Den Heuvel, Kay Loose, Mary (Jerry) Gossen, and Millie Schroeder (special friend Joe Burton); nephews: George (Jean) Wollenberg, and Steve (Charlene) Wollenberg. She is also survived by nieces: Janice (Robert) Pelisek, Carol De Beukelar, Jane (Anthony) Bersch, and Eileen (Gregory) Anderson; nephews: Norbert (Denise) De Beukelar, James De Beukelar, and Peter (Marsha) De Beukelar; nephew-in-law Dan Rose.She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law John (Martha) De Beukelar, a sister Sister Mary Jo (Josephine) De Beukelar; brother-in-law Joseph Wollenberg; nephew-in-law Robert Schroeder, and niece Diane Rose.

    Friends and family may visit on WEDNESDAY (TODAY), January 8, 2014 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Community Catholic, 4805 Sportsman Dr, Town of Ledgeview.   • Note: Frances T. Wollenberg, age 96, of rural De Pere, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at a local nursing home. She was born June 23, 1918 in the Town of Rockland to the late Peter De Beukelar and Anna (Geurts) De Beukelar. On July 5, 1944, she married Joseph G. Wollenberg at St. Mary's Church in De Pere. She lived and worked on the family farm all her life. She worked at Scray's Cheese Factory for many years, was a 4-H Leader, member of the Green Bay Square Dance Club, a member of St. Mary's Church and a member of the St. Mary Altar Rosary Society.

    She is survived by her children: Pat Wery of Green Bay, Judy (Jim) Van Den Heuvel of Seymour, Kay Loose (special friend Jim Brunner) of Appleton, Mary (Jerry) Gossen of De Pere, George (Jean) Wollenberg of De Pere, Millie Schroeder (special friend Joe Burton) of Greenleaf, and Steve (Charlene) Wollenberg of De Pere. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren/great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph; brother John (Martha) De Beukelar, sisters: Henrietta De Beukelar and Sr. Mary Jo (Josephine) De Beukelar, son-in-law Robert Schroeder, great-granddaughter Harmony Van Den Heuvel, and a special friend, Allan Wery.

    Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere, on Sunday, April 5, from 5:00-8:00pm with a parish prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 10:00am until 10:45am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd.

  • Note: Mary Jane Vanden Heuvel, 84, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 5, 2014. She was born September 25, 1929 to Wenzel and Pauline (Tullis) Pankratz. Mary Jane resided in Green Bay all her life. On April 7, 1951, she married Gordon (Sonny) Vanden Heuvel. Mary Jane was blessed with one son, Steve.

    For 46 years, until her retirement, Mary Jane ensured the safety of children as a school crossing guard on the corner of Ridge Rd. and Langlade in front of Annie Jackson Elementary School. She was known for her love of the children she crossed and the full size Snickers candy bars that she gave out for her birthday and the end of the school year.

    Mary Jane was also known for her abundant vegetable garden. She loved to share her bounty with family and friends. Mary Jane loved her little green trailer up north in Florence, WI. She loved to sit soaking up the sun while fishing and reading.

    Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gordon "Sonny"; her son, Steve (Linda); two grandchildren, Brian Vanden Heuvel and Jennifer (Jerad) Arendt; one great-grandchild, Caden Arendt and another on the way; three sisters, Helen Bergner, Dorothy Thomas, and Marge (Merlin) Kropp; one sister-in-law, Florence Ness; and three brothers-in-law, Carl (Luella), Lyle (JoAnn), and Eugene (Sally) Vanden Heuvel.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ernest Pankratz; sister, Mabel Garsow; brothers-in-law, Lee Bergner, Donald Thomas, and Marvin Ness; and a sister-in-law, Maggie Morrow.

    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
