On November 27, 1937, she married Robert J. Sagle in Oconto Falls. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1990. Arlene had the most beautiful winter wonderland that she created. She hand-painted the 500 piece Christmas village and Nativity Set.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, four sisters, Gladys (Edward) Vannieuwenhoven, Tessa Belle (John) Foster, Elsie (Pearl) McNee, Audrey (Orren) VanDeusen; one brother, Reginald (Josephine) Brunette; several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at the funeral home.   • Note: Carl J. Vanden Heuvel, age 86, of Suamico, passed away at home peacefully, with his family at his side, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, from Alzheimer's. He was born on August 8, 1929 to Edward & Marie (Vanden Brook) Vanden Heuvel. Carl married Luella Vannieuwenhoven at St. Benedicts church on June 25, 1949. He retired from Paper Converting Machine. Carl was a Suamico volunteer fireman for 45 years, 8 of those years he was chief. He ushered at St. Benedicts church for many years. Carl loved going up North, fishing, hunting and making Booyah. His hobby was making lawn ornaments.

    Carl is survived by his wife, Luella of 67 years; daughters, Dawn (Tom) Rapoff and Brenda Kelly (Tom); son, Denis (Sue) Vanden Heuvel; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vanden Heuvel; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gordon, Lyle and Eugene (Sally) Vanden Heuvel; sister, Florence Ness; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvester (DeDe), Raymond, Neil (June), MaryLou Vannieuwenhoven and Donna Mae Ashley.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darold; sister, Maggie Morrow; brothers-in-law, Marvin Ness, Francis Vannieuwenhoven and Russel Ashley; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Vanden Heuvel, Rita Vannieuwenhoven and granddaughter, Nicki.

    Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 3370 West Deerfield Avenue, Suamico, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.

    The family wants to thank Unity Hospice, especially, Julie and Heather. Also to Dawn, Denis, Brenda and granddaughters, Amy and Amanda for all their care to Carl so he could stay at home.

    Darold was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Larsen.
