    Age 70, passed away Monday, July 1, 2002 at the Appleton Medical Center from complications of an aortic aneurysm.
    John was born on November 14, 1931 in Clintonville the son of the late Carl and Mabel (Gorman) Rosnow. In 1950 he became a graduate of the Clintonville High School. On November 8, 1952, John was united in marriage to Joan Ferg at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Manawa. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954. After the service, he returned to Clintonville and joined his father in the operation and management of the Rosnow Shoe Store until 1964. He later became employed at the F.W.D. Corporation, Clintonville until his retirement in 1996. John was an active member of the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, having served on the church council, numerous committees and a volunteer for many other activities. He was a member of the Clintonville Riverside Golf Course, the Clintonville American Legion Post #63 and was an active Boy Scout Leader receiving the distinguished Lamb Award in recognition of his leadership. John enjoyed being with his family, biking, golfing, camping, fishing and spending many weekends with his family and friends at his cottage in northern Wisconsin.
    Survivors include his wife, Joan; two daughters: Peggy (Thomas) Paiser, Pardeeville; Becky (LeRoy) Cater, Eau Claire; two sons: Jeff (Nancy) Rosnow, Madison; Todd (Ann) Rosnow, Alpharetta, Georgia; nine grandchildren: Josh, Joe and Jon Rosnow; Nathan and Nicholas Paiser; Sidney and Isabella Cater; Lauren and Mitchell Rosnow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Rick Pettis officiating and interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the service. In memory of John, a memorial will be established.
