    Simon Wettstein, 78, of Chilton, died at his home at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3. He had been ill two months.
    A son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Joseph Wettstein, he was born in the Town of Chilton, March 11, 1880.
    He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School at Jericho and farmed many years in the Town of Stockbridge before retiring and moving to Chilton.
    He married Gertrude Klapperich, May 26, 1902, at Kloten, near Chilton.
    Surviving are his wife; three sons, Gregor, West Bend; Arno, Kiel; and Rudy, Stockbridge; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Strobel, Weyauwega; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    Also surviving are a brother, Albert, of Stockbridge, and two sisters, Mrs. August Propson and Mrs. John Propson, Chilton.
    The Requiem Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Chilton, with the Rev. Roland Ahearn, pastor, celebrant. Mass will follow 9 a.m. family rites at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home.
    Burial is to be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jericho.

    Albert Carl Wettstein, 82, a resident of Stockbridge for the

    last eight years, died Monday at his home following a lingering illness.

    Born May 22,1884, In Calumet County, he was the son of

    Joseph and Catherine Wettstein.

    Mr. Wettstein had farmed in the Town of New Holstein for

    12 years before retiring and moving to Stockbridge.

    Survivors include his widow, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs.

    Catherine Scott, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Albert Oakley, Sheboygan;

    three sons, Norman and Gilbert, Kaukauna, and

    Matthew of Sheboygan; 24 grandchildren, and 23 greatgrandchildren.

    Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.

    Mary's Catholic Church, Stockbridge.

    Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    The body is in state at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Stockbridge.

    Matthew J. Wettstein, 63, of 1504 Illinois
    Avenue, died Wednesday morning at St.
    Nicholas Hospital following a two week
    illness.
    Mr. Wettstein retired from the Rway
    Furniture Co. a year ago after suffering
    a heart-stroke July 11, 1966. He had been
    working there for 23 years.
    He was born February 19, 1904, in the
    town of Harrison, Calumet County, son of
    the late Albert and Lena Wettstein.
    On July 16, 1935, he married the former
    Miss Mary Dikancic at St. Augustine Church
    in Chilton. The couple moved to Sheboygan
    in 1941.
    Mr. Wettstein was a member of St. Clement's
    Catholic Church; the United Furniture Workers,
    Local 806; The Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge
    438; and the Legion of Moose, Fox River
    Valley Council 142.
    He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert
    of Sheboygan Falls, and Roger of Popular Grove,
    Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. William(Marlene)
    Meyer and Mrs. James (Nancy) Sachse, both of
    Sheboygan, and Mrs. Rosemary Oney of Palatka,
    Florida; his stepmother, Mrs. Minnie Wettstein of
    Stockbridge; a brother, Norman of Kaukauna; and
    two sisters, Mrs. Alfred(Mabel) Oakley of Sheboygan,
    and Mrs. Catherine Scott of Milwaukee.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister
    and a grandson.
    The requiem Mass will be celebrated by the Very
    Rev. Msgr. Vernon J. Kuehn at 10 a.m. Friday in
    St. Clement's Church following brief family rites at
    9:30 in Gerends's Funeral Home.
    Friends may call at Gerend's Funeral Home after
    4 p.m. today.
    A parish vigil will be held there at 7 p.m. The
    Moose Lodge will conduct a memorial service
    at 8 p.m.
