    Mrs. Jennie Kaiver, 96, a former Glenmore resident, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 21, 1993 at a local hospital. The daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Pachowiah) Jankowski was born April 26, 1897 in Pine Grove and lived in this area all of her life. The former Jennie Jankowski and James Kaiver were married Sept. 10, 1920 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pine Grove; he preceded her in death March 28, 1969. Jennie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Glenmore and the Altar Society at the church. Survivors include five daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Felix Ostrenga, Denmark; Lenora and Elton Rosin, Green Bay; Dorothy and John Hansen, Denmark; Helen and Earl Brittnacher, Greenleaf; Bernice and Ray Brittnacher, Greenleaf; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jankowski, Green Bay; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James; two grandchildren; four brothers; two sisters. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Glenmore, until time of services. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Father Dave Pleier officiating. Burial in church cemetary. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is handling arrnagements.

  • Death: Felix A Ostrenga died on March 17, 2013, at age 97.
  • Note: Felix A. Ostrenga, 97, Glenmore, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2013, at a local nursing home. He was born November 10, 1915, to the late Adam and Anna (Piechota) Ostrenga in the Town of Eaton. He married Lucille Kaiver on July 20, 1940, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pine Grove. They shared 65 years together until she preceded him in death in 2006. They farmed in the Town of Glenmore and later moved to Denmark.

    Felix was the happiest working hard on the farm and loved to garden. He enjoyed listening to polka music and was known for having a sweet tooth.

    Survivors include two sons, James (Christine Englbert) Ostrenga, Myron (Gloria) Ostrenga; five grandchildren, Jodi (special friend, Perry) Hendrickson, Jessica (Robert) Ahnen, Jaimee (fiancé, Chad) Ostrenga, Sandy (Kevin) Tschetter, Brian Ostrenga; four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Trevor Hendrickson, Kyla and Mason Tschetter; three step- grandchildren; seven great- step-grandchildren; a sister, Regina Gloral; sister-in-law, Helen Brittnacher; special nephew, Norman (Shirley) Ostrenga; special friends, Mary and Jerry Lorberblatt; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by wife, Lucille; five brothers; six sisters; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

    Friends and family may call on Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenmore, 8532 Big Apple Rd, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with Rev. David Koch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

  • Note: Lenora A. Rosin, 88, Green Bay, passed away on September 3, 2010 at a local hospital. Lenora was born November 27, 1921 in Glenmore WI to the late James and Jennie (Jankowski) Kaiver. On November 23, 1950 she married Elton Rosin in Glenmore WI and they celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 2000. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth's Altar Society. She was employed with Green Bay Public Schools in food service. Her most important job however was as a mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was their #1 babysitter, a great caregiver and always gave great advice. She loved cooking Sunday meals and was an excellent cook. She loved flower gardening and reading her daily prayers. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Elton, children Richard (Connie) Rosin, Green Bay, Mary Rosin, Wisconsin Rapids, Susan Rosin, Green Bay, Julie (Michael) Rabideau, Green Bay, 4 granddaughters; Jennifer and Stephanie Rosin and Michaela and Morgan Rabideau, sister Helen Brittnacher, Greenleaf, sisters-in-law; Dorothy Persson, Oreta Green and Doris Rosin, brother-in-law Felix Ostrenga as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters; Lucille Ostrenga, Dorothy (John) Hansen, Bernice (Ray) Brittnacher, brothers-in-law Earl Brittnacher, Donald Rosin, Tom Persson, Harvey Green, sisters-in-law; June (Bill) Schiefelbein and Betty (Lawrence) Schroeder. Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Street on Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Tom Wojciechowski OFM officiating.   • Note: Elton W. Rosin, 84, Green Bay, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at his apartment at Brookview Meadows Assisted Living. Elton was born in Wrightstown, WI on May 22, 1928 to the late William and Selma (Wiese) Rosin. On November 23, 1950, he married Lenora Kaiver and celebrated almost 60 years together before she passed away on September 3, 2010. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. For most of Elton's career, he was an auto mechanic as well as managing Rosin Enco Service before joining Paper Converting Machine Corporation from which he retired in 1991.

    He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran and was happiest driving "anything with wheels"- be it his car or his riding lawn mower.

    Dad had the best laugh - which started deep in his belly. He was our real life "teddy bear". He was the king of the one liners continuing until the day he died. His sense of humor will be missed by all.

    He is survived by his children, Richard (Connie) Rosin, Green Bay; Mary Rosin, Wisconsin Rapids; Susan Rosin, Green Bay; Julie (Michael) Rabideau, Green Bay; his granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie Rosin, and Michaela and Morgan Rabideau, all of Green Bay; his sisters, Dorothy Persson and Oreta Green, California; sisters-in-law, Doris Rosin and Helen Brittnacher; brother-in-law, Felix Ostrenga; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his beloved Lenora; his parents; two sisters, June (Bill) Schiefelbein and Betty (Lawrence) Schroeder; brother, Donald Rosin; brothers-in-law, Tom Persson, Harvey Green and Earl Brittnacher; sisters-in-law, Lucille Ostrenga, Dorothy (John) Hansen and Bernice (Ray) Brittnacher.

    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Family Tribute 7 pm Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 514 S. Clay St., after 9:30 am until the time of service. Funeral service 10:30 am Friday at the church with Pastor Roy Rose officiating. Entombment with full military honors will be held at the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
