- Birth: Jennie Marie Lau was born on January 20, 1912.
- Marriage: She and Alex J Bodinger were married on June 5, 1935 in Stockbridge, Calumet Co, Wisconsin.

- Burial: She was buried in St Mary Cemetery, Stockbridge, Wisconsin.
- Note: Jennie Marie Bodinger, age 98, of Chilton, passed away peacefully
with her family by her side on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the
Century Ridge in Chilton.
She was born January 20 1912 in the Town of Hayton, daughter of the
late Otto and Louise (Ibe) Lau.
Before her marriage she helped families in the area with house chores,
cooking and anything else that needed tending.
She married Alex Bodinger on June 5, 1935 at St. Mary Catholic Church,
Stockbridge. They farmed together in Stockbridge area and enjoyed 57
years of marriage; he proceeded her in death on January 5 1993.
She was a charter member of Stockbridge Senior Citizens group and was
a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Stockbridge where she also
belonged to the Christian Ladies. In her free time she enjoyed fishing
and even tried sturgeon spearing once; once was enough since she
speared one that first year and decided it wasn't necessary to try again.
Jennie lived a long full life and was always content. She was an excellent
cook who enjoyed good company over a home cooked meal. Jennie was
always eager to make a large meal for people stopping by whether they
were hungry or not.
The reason Jennie always had a smile on her face was simple; life offered
her so many simple blessings that she had no reason to complain or
speak ill of anyone. She was a soft spoken, independent individual,
who worked hard through her whole life.
Until moving to Century Ridge at the age of 96, Jennie managed to live
on her own and continued to cook, bake and hang out laundry just as she
did her entire life. Her active spirit continued at Century Ridge; she took
part in all the activities offered there.
She was the best mom anyone could have had and always made sure her
family came first in her life. She was one person who held the entire family
as one; not just her immediate family, but the entire extended family as well.
She will be greatly missed, but her family is comforted in the sure knowledge
that she is in heaven.
Survivors include her children; Ken ( Delphine) Bodinger of Kloten, Helen (Leon)
Cordy of Stockbridge; 13 grandchildren; Terri, Steven, Randolph, James, Daniel,
Scott, Shawn, Charles, Brian, Sheila, Amy and John; 20 great grandchildren;
three great great-grandchildren; and a sister Doris Dedrich of Stockbridge.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Carol Bodinger, Betty
(Milford) Hintz, and her brothers and sisters; Arno, Fronie, Lawrence, Ruby,
Chester, Robert, Lester, Ervin, Lucille and Eugene.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday December 30, 2010 at

officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the
