  • Note: Jeanette (Wellens) Van Der Wegen, 87, Green Bay, passed away on Feb. 17, 2012. Born on July 19, 1924, in De Pere, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Lasee) Wellens. She married Raymond Van Der Wegen on Sept. 21, 1944, in Buford, S.C., and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2005. Jeanette enjoyed camping as a family, trips to Florida, and reading.

    She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Stanley (Laurie) Van Der Wegen, Green Bay; Charlotte (Thomas) Meyer, The Villages, Fla.; Becky (John) Quinn, St Charles, Mo.; and David (Wendy) Van Der Wegen, Pewaukee; six grandchildren, Beth (Michael) Yerke, Paul Meyer, Michelle (Michael) Tarantino, Christopher (Lisa) Quinn, Meghan (Jeff) Indelicato, and Ryan Van Der Wegen; three great-grandchildren, Carolina, Madeira, and Kenna; two brothers, Robert and Roland Wellens; many nieces and nephews.

    Jeanette was preceded in death by one son, Donald Van Der Wegen; one great-granddaughter, Annalyn; two brothers, Arthur and Harvey Wellens; five sisters, Sister Rolandine , Esther Ossman, Catherine Sheldon, Lillian Kugel, and Lorraine Baeten.

  • Note: Stanley "Stan" G. Van Der Wegen, 67, Green Bay, died Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was born February 3, 1946 in Green Bay to Raymond and Jeanette (Wellens) Van Der Wegen. On September 27, 1986 he married Laurie De Graff.

    Stan worked for Green Bay Packaging for close to 20 years. He previously worked for Marc's Big Boy for over 26 years as an Area Manager, managing six local restaurants. Stan loved boating, camping but most of all spending time with his family.

    He is survived by his wife, Laurie; daughter and her husband, Beth and Michael Van Der Wegen-Yerke; son, Ryan Van Der Wegen; granddaughter, Carolina; his siblings and their spouses, Charlotte and Tom Meyer, Becky and John Quinn, David and Wendy Van Der Wegen; 2 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Doug and Terri De Graff and Robert De Graff as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Stan was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Van Der Wegen and sister-in-law, Dawn Nelsen.

    Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1956. He married Patricia Weigelt in Oconto. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2008. Robert worked as a meat inspector with the USDA, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert was an avid Packers Fan.

    Robert is survived by his daughter, Diane Kelly (Michael); his grandchildren, Heather Neta, Amanda and Jose Corona, Melissa Neta (Joey), Jason Neta, Thomas Neta, and Padraic Kelly; his great-grandchildren, Adriana, Jesus and Lilliana; and a brother, Roland Wellens.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, brothers and sisters.

    Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division Street, on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev.   • Marriage: He and Sadie Rose were married on August 9, 1969 in Spruce, Oconto Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: Roland B Wellens died on March 22, 2016, at age 83.
  • Note: Roland B. Wellens, 83, Oconto Falls, died Tuesday evening, March 22, 2016. The second youngest of 10 children of Henry and Elizabeth Wellens was born April 7, 1932 in DePere. As a young boy, Roland moved with his family to the Lena area where he attended and graduated high school. Following graduation, he attended technical college.

    On August 9, 1969 he married Sadie Rose in Spruce. Following their marriage, the couple owned and operated a farmette in the Town of Spruce before moving into Oconto Falls in 1976. Roland was employed at Graetz Manufacturing in Pound and ran his own shoe repair business for many years. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Parish in Oconto Falls.

    Survivors are three children, Will Wellens Sr., Sandra Wellens and husband John Pearson, Charlotta Shepherd, all of Oconto Falls; five grandchildren, great grandchildren; longtime companion, Joyce Bitters, Oconto Falls.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sadie, nine brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Wayne McDonald.

    Visitation will be held after 11am Monday, March 28, 2016 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 1pm Monday at the funeral home with his son-in-law John Pearson presiding. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
