  • Note: Norbert Goffard, 83, Golden Valley, MN, formerly of Neenah, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Golden Valley Care Center. He was born October 19, 1927, in Oneida, son of Leonard and Elizabeth (Janz) Goffard. Norbert married Florence Stelow and she preceded him in death December 4, 1971. He was employed at John Strange Paper Company until his retirement. Mr. Goffard was a U.S. Marine Corps and Merchant Marines veteran. Norbert enjoyed being with his family.

    Norbert is survived by his son: Perry (Leann) Goffard, Minneapolis, MN.

    Norbert was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Goffard.

    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2011, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Norbert's name.

  • Note: Virginia Kolosso "Ginny", age 89, Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2011 at her home. She was born July 14, 1922 to the late Walter and Anna (Huber) Funk in Menasha. Ginny married Pete Kolosso on May 19, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. She worked at Banta as a bookbinder and also as a crossing guard in Appleton at the corners of Badger and Winnebago for over 30 years. Ginny loved to shop, crochet and to visit with and go out to eat with friends and family.

    She is survived by her 6 children: Jane Kolosso, Appleton; Kathy (Tony) Carpenter, Stevens Point; Mike (June) Kolosso, Rebecca (John) Jacobson, Sue (Ken) Brouillard and Pat Kolosso all of Appleton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; her sister, Sister Laura Funk, SSND, Elm Grove; sisters-in-law: Grace Funk and Barbara Funk.

    Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete; three brothers: Gene, Donald and Bobby and a young sister, Patricia.

    A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 5:00 PM Friday, December, 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. David Funk OFM, Cap., officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 3:30 PM until the time of Mass at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Church.

  • Note: Ronald C. Poole, age 77, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 13, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on December 18, 1933, in Greenville, WI, son of Clair and Marie (VanStraten) Poole. He resided in Hortonville, WI with his wife of 54 years.

    Ronald was an honor graduate, top of his class, of Army radio operator school. He was proud of serving in the US military from March 1954 to March 1956.

    On May 18, 1957, he married Janice Ratzburg at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church, where they remained lifelong members. Of particular pride to him was his evangelism ministry at Bethlehem.

    He retired from Hillshire Farm in 1995 after 30 years of employment.

    Ronald is survived by his wife, Janice; four daughters, Sherie (Jim) McHugh, Hortonville, Carol (Jerry) VanHammond, Greenville, Lisa (Tim) Visocky, Hortonville, and Bonnie (Darwin) Selle, Dale. Grandchildren, Theresa (Jerrett) Kowalski, Brian (Tiffany) McHugh, Paula, Andrew, and Joseph McHugh, Lukas, Drew, and Brett Van Hammond, Peggy, Ross, and Brady Visocky, Erika (Ryan) Hall, and Vanessa Selle. Great-grandchildren, Austin, Theo, Nathan, Collin, and Aren. Step-brother, Jean (Joann) Schaenzer. Sister-in-laws, Marie Smith, Merna (Joe) Schoenhaar, and Toni Tellock; and brother-in-law, Bill (Diane) Ratzburg.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Don Schultz, step sister and brother-in-law Joan and Vernon Pieper, brother-in-law Charles Smith; grandparents Rufus and Amanda Poole and Len and Minnie VanStraten.

    A funeral service for Ronald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 203 N. Nash St. Hortonville, with Rev. Ralph Rosenberg officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hortonville, WI.
