    Mr. Buechel was born Oct. 22, 1901 to the late Mathias and
    Amalia Schneider Buechel in Jericho, town of Brothertown. He
    married Charlotte Santos of Sacramento, California, on April 26,
    1941.

    Surviving are his wife; three sons, Severon, Omaha, Nebr.,
    Vernon and Dale, Sacramento, Calif.; three brothers, Henry,
    Garnet, Gregory, DePere, and Alois, Chilton; two sisters, Mrs.
    Apollonia Nett, Jericho, and Mrs. Norbert Wagner, Chilton, and
    six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers
    and one sister.

    The Rev. Walter F. Tuschel, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic
    Church, Jericho, officiated at 9:30 a.m. services at the Pfeffer
    Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. was celebrant of the requiem Mass
    at the church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

    Mr. Buechel was stricken with an apparent heart attack at the
    home of his wife's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Sabel of Rt. 2,
    Chilton, and was pronounced dead on arrival at Calumet Memorial
    Hospital.

    Born in the Town of Brothertown May 31, 1904, he was a son of
    the late Mathias and Amelia Schneider Buechel. He was married to
    Alvina Gelling Oct. 4, 1927 at St. Mary Catholic Church,

    The couple resided in Chilton until 1935, when they moved to
    Michigan. Mr. Buechel was employed by the General Motors Corp.
    in Detroit for 26 years.

    He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lincoln Park, and
    the Holy Name Society of St. Francis Caprini Catholic Church,
    Allen Park, Michigan.

    Survivors include his wife; three daughters. Mrs. Ervin
    (Marilyn) St. Onge of Milwaukee, Mrs. Glenn (Shirley) Hedrick,
    Wyandotte, Mich., and Mrs. Dennis (Lynette) MacMillian, Detroit;
    one son, John, at home; five brothers, John of Lincoln, Neb.,
    Albert of Sacramento, Calif., Henry of Malone, Alois of Chilton
    and Gregory of East DePere; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Nett and
    Mrs. Norbert Wagner, both of Chilton; and four grandchildren.
    One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

    Pallbearers for Herbert Buechel were Donald Nett, Ambrose
    Buechel, Alphonse Buechel, Werner Stenz, Melvin Gelling and Clem
    Sabel.

    attack Tuesday morning while sitting in his parked car in front
    of the Chilton bank.

    He was born in the Town of Brothertown (Calumet County) Feb. 7,
    1909, a son of the late Mathias and Amalia Buechel. He worked as
    a carpenter in the Chilton area for many years and on Nov. 28,
    1935, he married Leona Broeckel in Jericho.

    Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Peter
    (Mildred) Mortimer, Chilton, Mrs. Charles (Darlene) Pagel and
    Mrs. Robert (Alice) Trachsell, both of Milwaukee; two brothers,
    Henry of Malone, and Gregory, DePere; two sisters, Mrs. Peter
    Nett, Rt. 2, Chilton, and Mrs. Norbert Wagner, Chilton; and
    seven grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

    The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic
    Church, Chilton, with the Very Rev. Aloysius Knier, pastor, the
    celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family
    services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
    Chilton.

    Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The
    parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

  • Note: John M. "Jack" Pamperin, 77, Ashwaubenon, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 following a long journey with renal and heart failure. He was born on November 29, 1938, in Green Bay to Henry A. and Valeria (Champeau) Pamperin.

    Jack was a graduate of Premontre High School. He then served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He met Elizabeth G. Howell while stationed at Homestead Air Force Base. They were married in 1960 and moved to Green Bay in 1961. Jack began working for Fort Howard Paper Company in 1962 and retired 38 years later in 1999. In the earlier years of their marriage, both he and his wife enjoyed dancing competitively through Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Woodworking, gardening (especially tomatoes and roses), volunteering for Cerebral Palsy, Inc., line dancing with their "country group", camping, and helping neighborhood children learn to drive were just a few of his passions. His greatest passion, however, was playing with his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. Jack was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council #7498.

    He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children and their spouses, Jean Vander Heiden, Mykel (Amy) Pamperin, Joanie (Chris) Boston, David (Kari) Pamperin; grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Kimberly, Katie, Morgan, Nathan, Josh, and Caleb; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Dolly Williams, Clyde (Alice) Pamperin, Ralph (Barbara) Pamperin, Barb Briquelet; extended family members, Scott Vander Heiden, Dave Briquelet, Ann Pamperin, Karleen Pamperin, and Jean Pamperin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Karl, Bob, Donne; his sister, Mary Pamperin; and his brother-in-law, Glen Williams.

    Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. John H.
