  • Death: Juletta Tracy Kaster died on September 29, 2011, at age 86.
  • Note: Juletta "Jill" Tracy (Kaster) Hockers, 86, Townsend, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, after a long illness. She was born July 6, 1925, on a farm in Preble, Wis., to Mathew and Gertrude (Zuidmulder) Kaster. Jill married Earl M. Hockers on May 12, 1945, at St. Mary's Church in De Pere.

    Jill worked side-by-side with her husband, Earl, on a 197 acre dairy farm south of De Pere. After they sold their farm, Jill was a seamstress before retiring with her husband on Boot Lake. She was an avid golfer, bowler, was Treasurer of the Boot Lake Association and active church member of St. Mary of the Lakes church in Lakewood.

    She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earl; a daughter, Kathleen (John) DeBoth; a son, Rodney (Nancy Van Den Heuvel); four grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Ruth, Steven (Sara Stillings) DeBoth, Lori (Michael) LeRoy and Eric Hockers; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Brianna Ruth, Nathan and Elena LeRoy, Juniper Wisneski and Iain DeBoth; one sister, Marlene Reiche; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Geurts, Angeline (Carter) Rukamp and Helen Haese; many nieces and nephews.

    Jill is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin (Margaret) Kaster and Harlen (Joan) Kaster; a brother-in-law, Raymond Reiche; her father and mother-in-law, Louis and Ida (Henrigillis) Hockers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel (Wallace McMonagel) and (William Bos), Mabel and Sidney Seifert, Lucy and Kenneth Carufel, George Geurts, Norbert Carter, Harold Rukamp, Alfred Haese and Leona Hockers.

    The family would like to recognize the special care Jill received from Unity Hospice; CMH, Oconto Falls; CMH Primary Care Clinic, Mountain; Oconto County Commission on Aging; St. Mary of the Lakes Parish and the Social Concerns Committee; her neighbors and friends on Boot Lake and Mary Lawrence, niece and hospice care nurse.

    Family and friends may call on Monday, October 3, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive in Ledgeview from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at the church with the Rev.   • Note: Earl Michael Hockers passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at the age of 92. He was born on April 18, 1920, in De Pere, WI to Louis and Ida (Henrigillis) Hockers. Earl married Juletta (Jill) Kaster on May 12, 1945, at St. Mary's Church in De Pere.

    Earl and Jill owned and operated a 197 acre dairy farm south of De Pere. Earl was the third generation to farm the land that was known as "Hockers Section." After Earl sold the farm he worked for Mc Monagle Lumber Co. and Van Zeeland Crate and Pallet Co. before retiring with his wife on Boot Lake, in Townsend, WI. He was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, fisherman and active church member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Lakewood, WI before moving back to De Pere last year.

    He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and loyal friend. His oral history of life on the farm with seven sisters and his joy of living are remembered by everyone that knew him. Earl is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (John) DeBoth; a son, Rodney (Nancy Van Den Heuvel); four grandchildren; Amy (Jeremy) Ruth, Steven (Sara Stillings) DeBoth, Lori (Michael) LeRoy and Eric Hockers; six great-grandchildren; Kaitlin and Brianna Ruth, Nathan and Elena LeRoy, Juniper Hockers and Iain DeBoth; three sisters; Evelyn Geurts, Angeline (Carter) Rukamp and Helen Haese; one sister-in-law, Marlene Reiche and many beloved nieces and nephews.

    Earl is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years who passed away September 29, 2011; his parents; four sisters and brothers-in-law; Ethel (Wallace McMonagel) and (William Bos), Mabel and Sidney Seifert, Lucy and Kenneth Carufel, George Geurts, Norbert Carter, Harold Rukamp, Alfred Haese and his sister, Leona Hockers; his father and mother-in-law, Mathew and Gertrude (Zuidmulder) Kaster; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Melvin (Margaret) Kaster and Harlen (Joan) Kaster; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Reiche.

    Family and friends may call Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at church, with Fr. Patrick Beno officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.   • Note: Bernice "Beno" E. Schnell, age 70, of 228 South Glenview Avenue, Brillion, passed away on Oct. 1, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family.

    Beno was born on May 3, 1941, in Greenleaf, daughter of the late Henry and Cecilia (Freeman) Van Hulst. On Aug. 24, 1963, she married Buzz Schnell at East Wrightstown Catholic Church.

    Beno enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool and darts, rolling dice, fishing, and especially spending time with her family.

    Beno is survived by her husband of 48 years, Buzz, Brillion; their five children, Todd, Fond du Lac; Wendy White, Oshkosh; Tina Schnell, Black Creek; Jeffrey (Trisha), School Hill; and Patrick, Brillion; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Florence Morrison, Green Bay; Evelyn (Bob) Rausch, Green Bay; Alice (Dick) Hazaert, De Pere; and Ron Schnell, California; one brother and two sister-in-law, Norb (Carol) Van Hulst, De Pere; and Janice (Red) Willems, Asketon; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Beno was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Wally Morrison.

    Private family services were held.
