  • Note: Geneve O. DeBraal, Black Creek, age 86, passed away on June 26, 2011. She was born on February 12, 1925, the only child of the late Milton and Evelyn (Boelter) Hetzel. Geneve grew up in Appleton, graduating from Appleton High School in 1942. Following high school, she worked at Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent.) Geneve was an accomplished accordion player and organist, playing organ for several Lutheran churches in Appleton. On October 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Daniel DeBraal, Jr. They made their home in Appleton for 35 years, raising 5 children before moving to Black Creek in 1986. Geneve enjoyed knitting and crocheting countless items for her family, spending time at the cabin up north playing cards, and bird watching, especially the cardinals and yellow finches at her bird feeder. Geneve was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville.

    She is survived by her 5 children: Michael (Kay) DeBraal, Sr., Hortonville; David (Mary) DeBraal, Appleton; Scott DeBraal, Black Creek; Paul (Sue) DeBraal, Appleton; Christine (Brian) Reader, Hortonville; 14 grandchildren; Michael (Jayme) DeBraal Jr., Nicole (Mike) Schultz, Jordan DeBraal, Ryan (Mellisa) DeBraal, and Laura DeBraal; Kimberly and Trevor DeBraal; Dan DeBraal, Andrew (Rachel) Reader, Benjamin and Christopher Reader, Kevin and Michael Cornell, Melissa (Dan) Heiting, 11 great-grandchildren, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

    He husband, Daniel, preceded her in death on December 11, 2003.

    Funeral services for Geneve will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Rosenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

    The family would like to thank Kelly and Jen from ThecaCare Hospice, Cherry Meadows, and the Archangels for their loving care of our mother.

  • Marriage: She and Rueben Dix were married on December 12, 1934 in Kaukauna, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Marriage: Agnes Seidel and Harvey Greening were married on January 19, 1980.
  • Death: Agnes Seidel died on June 25, 2011, at age 93, in Greenleaf, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Agnes Dix Greening, age 93, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on June 25, 2011 at Wayside Parkview Estates in Greenleaf. She was born on November 29, 1917, in Stark, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (O'Leary) Seidel.

    On December 12, 1934 she married Rueben Dix at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Rueben preceded her in death on January 9, 1979. She then married Harvey Greening on January 19, 1980 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. Harvey preceded her in death on December 4, 1997.

    Agnes farmed with her husband, Rueben, until his retirement and continued to live on the farm until she moved to Wayside Parkview Estates in December of 2004. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. She loved Polka music and being outdoors.

    Agnes is survived by her four daughters: Helen French of De Pere, Nancy (Barry) Zimmermann of Menasha, Dianne (Jim) Calaway of Brillion and Linda (John) Baril of Green Bay; ten grandchildren: Terry (Joy) French, Jackie (Paul) Edelbeck, Brian (Sabine) French, Daniel Minten, Debra (Bill) Kolasinski, Russel (Lea) Calaway, Shawn (Nicole) Calaway, Tammy (Dave) Johnson, and Angela (Joe) Priebe. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, one sister Margaret Rank of Brillion, three stepsons: Don, Joe (Nel), and Bill Greening of Berlin, and one sister-in-law Geraldine (Donald) Wierschke.

    Besides her parents and her husbands, Agnes was preceded in death by six sisters: Rose Klipstine, Catherine Phillips Vanden Langenberg, Marie Remiker, Genevieve Moudry, Frances Thiel and an infant sister, Florence Seidel; seven brothers-in-law: Earl Klipstine, Bill Phillips, Ben Vanden Langenberg, Elmer Remiker, Bill Moudry, Leo Rank, and Ermie Thiel. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Robert Calaway.

    Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011at St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown with the Pastor Matthew Vik officiating.   • Note: George A. Martin, age 78 of Neenah, died peacefully Monday, June 27, 2011. He was born November 20, 1932 to the late George N. and Kathryn (Brantmeier) Martin in Menasha, WI. On May 31, 1952, he married Margaret Ebel. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2004.

    George served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1960. He then worked for American Can for over 40 years. George loved watching TV, especially the Packers and Brewers. He also enjoyed helping out on his family's farms and taking trips as the "Donut Man" to Marion.

    George is survived by his daughters: Barbara (Ronald) Sauer of Marion and their children: Charles Sauer, and Melinda (special friend Tony Seefeldt) Sauer; Nancy (Dan) Seelow of Neenah and their children: Nicholas Seelow and Anthony (special friend Alayna) Seelow; and Patricia (Jim) Carlson of Greenville and their children: Martin (Lauryn) Carlson and Adam (special friend Aubry) Carlson. He is further survived by his great-granddaughter, Makayla Sauer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and special neighbors. George was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew; and his sister, Audrey Sewall.

    A graveside service for George will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah, with full military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home.
