    Menasha

    Richard A. Meyer, age 27, of Menasha, died early Thursday morning, November 13, 2003 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, the result of an automobile accident while on duty.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 17, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Rev James Jugenheimer will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

    Rick was born January 6, 1976 in Manitowoc, son of Harlan and Linda Seibold Meyer. He was a 1994 graduate of Valders High School and earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the UW Oshkosh in 1999. On August 12, 2000 he married Tanya Schuh at Clarks Mills. Rick and his family made their home in Menasha and he was employed as a Deputy Sheriff for the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.

    Survivors include his wife Tanya and a son Maxwell at home; his parents: Harlan and Linda Meyer of rural Valders; one sister and brother-in-law: Sandi and Rich Kappelman of Valders; one brother and sister-in-law: Bob and Erin Meyer of Green Bay; his maternal grandparents: Lloyd and Pat Siebold of Manitowoc; his paternal grandparents: Ted J. and Mary Ann Meyer of Newton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bill and Kathy Schuh of Valders; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Tim & Sara Schuh of Manitowoc; Terry & Colleen Schuh of Milwaukee; Nieces & nephews: Godchild Kirsten & Devan Kappelman; Olivia Schuh, Eric & Gregory Schuh. Rick is further survived by his fellow officers, other relatives and many friends.

    The family will greet relatives & friends from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Visitation will continue from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am on Monday, November 17, 2003 at the church.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial education fund has been established for Maxwell.

    The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Valders, is assisting the Meyer family with funeral arrangements.

  • Birth: Owen Douglas Bissing was born on November 10, 2010 in Waukesha, Waukesha Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: He died on May 26, 2011, at age 0.
  • Note: Little warrior, of Sussex, was born on Nov. 10, 2010, in Waukesha, and passed away in the arms of family and friends on May 26, 2011, at Children's Hospital. He was son to Doug and Melissa Bissing, triplet brother to Weston and Logan, and little brother to Jaden. Grandson to Linda and George Medal and Pamela and David Bissing. Nephew to Rachael Medal, Jake Medal, Sherri Bissing and Eric Bissing. Great-grandson to Alice Vanden Langenberg and Lois Bissing. Great-nephew to Darleen and Ernie Tarmann.

    During his short stay on Earth, Owen was a lover. His laid-back personality and smile brought joy to many. His last days were filled with warmth, family and friends. He ended his earthly journey but will live on in others. Owen's last battle gave his heart, liver and kidneys as a final offering. Owen will be missed by so many, but his story lives on.

    Visitation will be held on June 1, 2011, at ASCENSION LUTHERAN, 1415 Dopp St., Waukesha, from 12 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m.
