  • Note: TICONDEROGA, N.Y. — Gerald John Webb, 82, of 15 Water Street, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at his residence after a long illness.

    The son of George and Josephine Webb, Jerry was born on April 26, 1921, on the family farm in Eau Galle, Wis.

    Jerry graduated from high school in Durand, Wis. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he learned the art of sending and translating Morse code. He later trained as a radio technician in Albuquerque, N.M. He was transferred to the air base in Smyrna, Tenn., where he was in charge of radio equipment maintenance for B-24s. In September of 1944, Jerry volunteered for overseas duty during WW II. He spent most of 1945 serving in China before returning home in October of 1945.

    Jerry married his longtime sweetheart, Theresa DeGrechie of Schuylerville, N.Y., on March 3, 1946. After 53 happy and productive years of marriage, Theresa passed away on January 19, 1999.

    Jerry was employed by three forest products companies as an automation and instrument technician over the course of his career. He began in 1947, with the Marinette Paper Co. in Fort Edward, N.Y. After 10 years, he moved on to Scott Paper in Thomson, N.Y. He later moved to the Ticonderoga area where he spent the remainder of his career working for International Paper Co. He retired in 1983, as a member of the Quarter-Century Club.

    Jerry was past president of the Instrument Society of America. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 333 in Ticonderoga. He was active in the Knights of Columbus Council 194 of Schuylerville where he rose to the rank of Grand Knight, later becoming a member of Glens Falls 4th Degree Council and eventually, in 1960, joining the Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus Council.

    In addition to his wife, he was also pre-deceased by a sister, Cecilia; and a daughter, Marjorie Ann, who died in infancy.

    Survivors include eight children, Kathleen Longton of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., George R. Webb and wife Pamela of Ticonderoga, Jean M. Annis and husband Michael of Ackworth, Ga., David J. Webb of Perris, Calif., Patricia A. Boone and husband Kenneth of Millington, Tenn., Nancy J. Newhall and husband Michael of Pawcatuck, Conn., Mary A. Badke and husband Charles of Ticonderoga, Gerald J. Webb and wife Barbara of Bend, Ore.; four brothers, Bernard Webb of Decorah, Iowa, Lawrence Webb and William Webb of Eau Galle and David Webb of Eau Claire; and six sisters, Marcella Hurst of Little Chute, Wis., Sally Hayden of Durand, Joan Seipel of Eau Galle, Marilyn LaBrec of New Holstein, Judy Gland of St. Paul, Minn., and Nancy Calaway of De Pere. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ticonderoga, N.Y., with Rev. William G. Muench, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.

    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to High Peaks Hospice, Essex County Office, P.O. Box 195, Mineville, N.Y. 12956.

Chad loved spending time with his daughter, Kendall and his family. He enjoyed golfing and camping. He was loved dearly and will be missed more than words can express.

    Chad is survived by his parents; wife, Melanie; daughter, Kendall; sister, Nicole (Adam) Zeinert; niece, Katelin; nephew, Jonah; grandmother, Marie Albrent; aunts and uncles, Nanette (Jack) Szprejda, Joanne (Mike) Vande Hei, Ron (Penny) Elfe, and Jay Albrent. He is also survived by many family and friends.

    He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Conrad Elfe and Gerald Albrent; and grandmother, Teresa Elfe.

    Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, *(Monroe Ave., is closed. Access to funeral home is available off Madison St., One Block West of Monroe Ave.,)* a funeral ceremony to follow.

Dan was a smart a** and all that knew him appreciated his jokes.Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Eileen; children: Zach of Kaukauna and Katie of Orlando, FL; brother: David (Nancy) Eggert; mother-in-law: Mary Jane Stover; brothers-in-law: Phillip Stover and Paul (Paula) Stover; and godson Kevin Eggert. In addition to many friends, he is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Lulu the family dog, and lifelong friends Wally and Laurel Heil.Dan was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Loren C.
