  • Note: Angela M. Feavel, 94, Appleton, passed away at Theda Clark Medical Center on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Angie was born on November 17, 1916, in Stockbridge, to the late Herbert C. and Anna (Schomisch) Parker. When she was three, her family moved to Appleton. Angie graduated from St. Mary Parochial School and in 1934, she graduated from Appleton High School.

    In 1939, she married Jack Feavel. They lived in Madison until he graduated from the University of Wisconsin. The couple then moved back to Appleton for three years while he worked for the Institute of Paper Chemistry. After moving to Hilbert, they owned and operated the Hilbert Recreation Bowling Lanes for 14 years. Angie was employed at Kimberly-Clark Corporation and also the Scolding Locks Corporation.
    The couple moved to Neenah, on Lake Winnebago, where they resided for over 40 years. The past year and a half they have lived at The Heritage. Angie was a member of the Fox Valley Bowling Association for many years, where she held several offices. She loved to read and travel. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy.
    Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Jack; and her son, James (Patti) Feavel, Appleton. She is further survived by her granddaughters, Lisa (Paul) Derfus, Appleton; Shannon (Kevin) Abernathy, Appleton; and Jennifer (Doug) Gieryn, Neenah; three great-grandsons, Bobby Derfus, Reed Gieryn and Zechariah Abernathy; her great-granddaughters, Olivia Derfus and Kelly Gieryn; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her son, John Spencer (Yvonne) Feavel; her sister, Altha (Don) Acord; and three brothers, Roland (Mary) Parker, Leo (Marjorie) Parker and John "Jack" (Doris) Parker.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State Street, Appleton, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM CAP., officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the physicians and staff at Theda Clark Medical Center for their loving care.

  • Death: She died on January 31, 2011, at age 94.
  • Note: Catherine Moss, age 94, New London, formerly of Little Chute, died on Monday, January 31, 2011. Catherine was born on February 19, 1916, in Kimberly, daughter of the late William and Marie Lemmens. She was a resident of Kimberly most her life. Catherine enjoyed fishing being outdoors and was very lucky at finding four leaf clovers. She especially loved to be with her family and was always a very hard worker.

    Catherine is survived by daughters: Mary Lou (Robert) Holewinski, Menasha; Ginger Riedl, San Pedro, CA; Bonnie (Peter) Kessler, New London; Sandy Linskens, San Pedro, CA; a son, Charles Moss, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Leach, Eagle River. She was also a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
    Her husbands, Clifton Leach and Forest "Butch" Moss and two sons, Robert and Ricky Leach, preceded her in death.
    Funeral services for Catherine will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph Residence, Franciscan Care and Heartland Hospice for all the care and concern they showed to Catherine.
    A memorial fund has been established.
