Marilyn was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. She married Marvin Hoppe Jr. on October 24, 1970, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Marvin preceded her in death on August 3, 2016. Marilyn retired from the YWCA after more than 20 years as a Fitness Instructor. She loved sharing outdoor activities with her husband Marvin, including hunting, camping and nature walks. Marilyn also enjoyed cooking, the crafts and browsing flea markets.

    Marilyn will be deeply missed by her daughter, Renee Manders; a grandson, Austin Manders and his girlfriend Marissa Brown; a sister, Donna Krines; a brother, Martin Kuipers (Vivian Reyes); 2 nephews, Joel Krines and Vincent Kuipers; and 2 nieces, (godchild) Dawn Glatt and Vanessa Reyes.

    In addition to her husband and parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by a brother, Dale Kuipers and a brother-in-law, James Krines.

    Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday, February 26, 2017.   • Note: Marvin C. Hoppe Jr., 65, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly at his camp "up at the lake" on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. He was born January 27, 1951, in Antigo to Marvin and Lorraine (Guenthner) Hoppe Sr. The family moved to Green Bay and Marvin graduated from East High School. On October 24, 1970, he married Marilyn Katherine Kuipers at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. He had been employed at Packerland Packing for over 40 years before retiring. Marvin was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed camping at White Clay Lake. He was also a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was willing to do anything for his family.

    Marvin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hoppe; a daughter, Renee Manders; a grandson, Austin Manders and his girlfriend Marissa Brown; a brother, Terry (Patti) Hoppe; and two sisters, Susanne Novak and Lorrie (Allen) Borchers; many relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rodney Novak.

    Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday August 9, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ProkoWall.com.

  • Note: John P. "Jack" Lambert, 84, De Pere, passed away Jan. 17, 2011. He was born in De Pere, on April 5, 1926, to the late Peter and Frieda (Vande Leifford) Lambert. Jack served his country in the U.S. Air Force as Sgt. First Class, during World War II, flying many missions over Europe in a B-17 as a ball turret gunner. On Oct. 6, 1951, he married Jeanie Pranke in De Pere. Jack and Jeanie had a loving, exciting and adventurous marriage for 59 years, traveling back and forth from Florida to Wisconsin. Residing in Florida for 10 years, they made long-lasting friendships. They moved back to De Pere in 1986. If you were a friend of Jack's, you were his friend forever!

    Jack was a member of the Isaac Walton League, Ducks Unlimited, avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Holy Name Club and Ushers Club. Jack worked for Selmer Construction Co. for many years and was a member of Masons Local #3 of Green Bay. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will always be loved and missed but remain in our hearts forever.
    Jack is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Jeanie; and their three wonderful sons of whom he was so proud, Daniel John, Chicago, Ill.; Steven John (Becky), De Pere, Wis.; Joseph P. (Hilary), Wrightstown. He so loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Carrie (David) Griffiths, Austin, Texas; Joseph Lambert and great-granddaughter, Mikela, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Jill (Russ) Patton and great-grandchildren, Sam and Dakota, Marinette,Wis.; Janelle French, Green Bay; Abbie and Tyler Lambert, De Pere; also many close and loving nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his sister, Adele Dwyer, De Pere; and Marge Dozier, Pt. Pleasant, N.J.; also brothers-in-law, Bill (Rosemary) Pranke, Joseph (Pat) Pranke, sister-in-law, Joanie Steckart, all of De Pere.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Frieda Lambert; sister, Kate (Norbert) Martin; brother, Bob (Lorraine) Lambert; brothers-in-law, Jeff Dwyer, Tom Dozier, John R. Steckart; sister-in-law, Faith (Len) Johnsen.
    Family and friends may call today, Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, town of Ledgeview, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church with the Rev.
