  • Burial: She was buried in Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Green Bay, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Lillimae M. De Cleene, 90, De Pere, passed away Tuesday night, Nov. 29, 2011. She was born on April 26, 1921, in the town of De Pere, daughter of the late Peter and Cecelia (Vanden Heuvel) Leiterman.

    On May 4, 1940, Lillimae married Norbert M. De Cleene at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere. He passed away July 2, 1983. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, and was involved with the Altar Rosary Society. She greatly enjoyed gardening, nursing plants to good health, and was well known for her beautiful flower garden and her raspberry patch.

    Lillimae is survived by six children, Al (Diane) De Cleene, New Franken; Pete (Eileen) De Cleene, Green Bay; Richard (Joan) De Cleene, Park Ridge, Ill.; Alice (Tom) Janquart, Green Bay; Barb De Cleene, Allouez; and Marilyn (Mont) Martin, Brookfield, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Tordeur; a brother, Gerald Leiterman; four sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norbert; two grandchildren, Ryan Martin and Mark De Cleene; daughter-in-law, Susan De Cleene; three brothers; and five sisters.

    Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating.   • Note: Catherine Eva Tordeur, age 98, passed away November 12, 2013 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born in the Town of De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin to Peter Leiterman and Cecilia (Vanden Heuvel) Leiterman on September 18, 1915. Catherine married Chris A. Tordeur on September 18, 1934. He passed away on October 31, 1988. He always called her "Kitty." Together they had six children, Russell Tordeur (special friend Carla Luedeman), Eileen Rose-Schultz, Christine Hornick, Michael (Kathy) Tordeur, Virginia (Dale) Frasch, and Jeanie Hlinak. Grandchildren are Sarah Schafer, Doug (Genifer) Schaefer, Hope Schaefer, April Hornick (Adrian Delacruz), Steven Tordeur, Shelly (Chris) Schley, Julie (Brad) Hooyman, Dawn (Jason) Kostichka, Danelle (John) Buyarski, Lloyd (Claire) Hlinak and Lori Hlinak. She has ten great-grandchildren. One brother, Gerald Leiterman and one sister-in-law, Ella Vande Hei also survive. Catherine's surviving God-children are Robert Holmes, Joyce (Ronald) DeBauche, Joan (Jim) Dolan, and Lloyd (Claire) Hlinak.

    Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, Jim Hlinak, one grandchild, Brian Hlinak, three brothers and six sisters.

    Catherine loved her family above everything else. She was an excellent cook and baker, who was known for her wonderful pies. She liked to play schafskopf with her family and friends.

    Visitation will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin from 9:30 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    The family would especially like to thank Lori Hlinak for all the loving care and concern she gave her grandmother.

    Gerald A. "Jerry" Leiterman, 92, De Pere, joined his one true love in heaven on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Gerald passed away peacefully at Century Ridge surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 27, 1923, in De Pere to the late Peter and Cecelia (Van Den Heuvel) Leiterman. Gerald married the former Esther Delfosse on May 20, 1944, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2000. He served in the US Army from August 31, 1944, until his honorable discharge on August 31, 1946. Gerald and Esther owned and operated the family farm all their lives. While farming, he was also employed by Hougard and Foeller Construction. He shared many stories about helping to build the Packer Stadium. Gerald always looked forward to spending time with family and friends at their place up north. He spent many hours in the woods picking blackberries and blueberries. There was also many a good game of cards played with family and friends. Gerald loved his parties, "The bigger, the better!" Gerald was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish in Pine Grove and currently Prince of Peace Parish.

    Gerald is survived his four children: Lorraine Heim and Leon Gilson; Robert (Mary) Leiterman; Judy (Bruce) Keller and Diane (Larry) Scray; one son-in-law, Joseph Dellis. 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dolores Dellis; two sons-in-law, Tom Collins and Russell Heim, 11 siblings and his Godchildren.

    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Parish Wake Service 7:00 pm Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 3425 Willow Rd., after 9:30 am until time of Mass. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday at the church with Msgr. James Feely officiating.   • Death: Viola Leiterman died on September 1, 2011, at age 97.
  • Burial: She was buried in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Viola "Vi" Elizabeth Gegare, 97, Green Bay, died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011. Vi was born Mar. 29, 1914, in De Pere, to the late Peter and Cecelia Leiterman. On Aug. 19, 1939, she married Floyd Gegare at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. Floyd preceded her in death on May 30, 2002.

    Vi loved the outdoors and spending time at the family cabin in Lakewood. While "up north" she enjoyed fishing for perch and bluegills, and she especially liked picking wild berries and nuts. Vi was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, baking goodies, and needlecrafts. She was an avid football fan who enjoyed watching and wagering on the Green Bay Packers.

    Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Gegare; two grandsons, Matthew and Eric Gegare, all of Green Bay. She is further survived by one sister, Lillimae DeCleene, New Franken; one brother, Gerald Leiterman, De Pere; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Tordeur, De Pere; Ann Leiterman, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

    Vi was preceded in death by her husband, seven sisters and brothers, Anamarie Frisque, Alice Marinan, Esther Tordeur, Barb Van Roy, Clarence Leiterman, Edwin Leiterman, and Marvin Leiterman.

    Family and friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Ninth St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
