  • Note: Joan Treichel, Brewster Village, age 77, died Tuesday November 27, 2007, at Brewster Village. She was born August 13, 1930, to the late Henry and Collette (Meinert) Wolf in Neenah. Joan married Floyd Treichel and together they raised five children. The family lived in Kaukauna but spent most of their free time at their cottage in Townsend, enjoying years of swimming and snowmobiling together. Floyd preceded her in death on September 6, 1999. After retirement, Joan and Floyd traveled to Florida for the winter months and enjoyed the serenity and seclusion of Miscauno Island on the Wisconsin - Michigan border during the summer. She also enjoyed golf, sewing and the benefits of physical fitness. She will be missed by all who knew her.
    She is survived by two daughters: Amy Schoessler and her children, Adam and Olivia and Martha (Tim) Haen and their children, Rebecca, Benjamin and Ally; three sons, Tobin (Sheri) Treichel and their children Eric and Sarah, Daniel Treichel and Matthew Treichel; two brothers: Max (Deanna) Wolf and John Wolf; two sisters: Mary Britten & Rebecca (Rick) Baggett; a sister in law, Joan Radant and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd and a brother in law, Jim Radant.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 3 p.m. on Thursday November 29, 2007, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS SITE, 2401 Main Avenue, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday at Church from Noon until the time of service. A memorial is being established in her name. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.

  • Burial: He was buried in St Mary's, Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Matt Treichel, 49, Kaukauna, died on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Brewster Village. He was born on Feb. 5, 1961, to the late Floyd and Joan (Wolf) Treichel in Kaukauna. Matt went to his final reward following a long and courageous fight due to suffering a brain tumor as a teen and in later life dealing with the side effects of treatment.

    Matt particularly enjoyed his early years with his parents and siblings at their summer cottage in Townsend, and later with his college friends from St. Norbert's, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1983. Matt's dry sense of humor will be missed by all.

    Matt's struggle is a testament to the human spirit. God bless him.

    Matt is survived by two sisters, Amy Schoessler and her children, Adam and Olivia, and Martha (Tim) Haen and their children, Rebecca, Benjamin and Ally; two brothers, Tobin (Sheri) Treichel and their children, Eric and Sarah, and Daniel Treichel; two uncles, Max (Deanna) Wolf and John Wolf; three aunts, Mary Britten, Rebecca (Rick) Baggett and Joan Radant; as well as many cousins.

    Matt was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, Jim Randant.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received directly at church on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the St. Mary Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. 766-2099.

    The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Brewster Village for the care and attention they gave Matt.

  • Note: Jack Van Enkenvort, 65, De Pere, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 26, 1944, to the late Bernard and Agnes (Minten) Van Enkenvort. On April 15, 1983, he married Sue Malliet.

    Jack was a graduate of West De Pere High School. He was a veteran of the United Stated Army. He was instrumental in the De Pere Little League program for over 45 years. While serving as President of the Little League program, Jack oversaw a lot of improvements to it with the help of many.
    Jack retired from the De Pere Fire Department after 28 years of service. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and being with his children and grandchildren. Jack liked getting together with friends for breakfast at Nicolet Restaurant.
    Jack is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Kim (Ryan) Metzner, Michelle Pigeon, Lisa (Butch) Smits, Patrick Van Enkenvort and Beth Van Enkenvort; his four grandchildren, Jason and Chris Smits, and Cole and Maya Metzner. He is further survived by his sister, Phyllis (William) Schneider, and their children, Bill and Wayne Schneider and Vicki Freund. Sue's family further survives Jack, his mother-in-law, Marcella Malliet; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg Malliet and Chryl (Jim) Wallace; and his two nieces, Caylynn and Jamie.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his niece, Sandra; and nephew, Shane.
    Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010. The De Pere Firefighters will stand Honor Guard throughout the visitation. There will be an Abbot Pennings Council 3955 Knights of Columbus service at 7:15 p.m. followed by a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. John "Jack" Harper officiating. Full military rites will be conducted immediately after Mass. Burial for Jack will take place at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in De Pere.
