    He was born June 23, 1924, in Kaukauna, the son of the
    late John J. and Rose (Hoenig) Rieth.
    On June 19, 1948, John married the former Denese
    Clancy at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Askeaton. The
    couple lived in the Kaukauna area their entire married lives.
    John was a W.W.II Army Veteran. He was an avid
    Cubs fan and enjoyed going up north, fishing, bowling and
    baseball. He was a member of the Urban Klister Post 436 of
    the American Legion and the Disabled American Vets of
    Green Bay.
    Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Denese,
    Kaukauna; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Nancy Pomeroy,
    Kaukauna, Susie (Fred) Stcger, Kimberly; 2 sons and 2
    daughters-in-law: Tom (Cathy) Rieth, Kaukauna, Dan
    (Chcryl) Rieth, DcPere; 12 grandchildren: Lisa (Dave)
    Lorirz, Casey Clark, Toby Clark, Kelly Pomeroy, Brady
    Pomeroy, Ben (Becky) Steger, Candi and Amber Steger.
    Reba. Nick and Jake Rieth, Ryan Rieth; 2
    great-grandchildren: Emily and Abby Loritz; 3 sisters and I
    brother-in-law: Dorothy Steffens. Kaukauna. Rosemary
    Schocnfeldt, Kaukauna, Blondie (Carl) Giordana.
    Kaukauna. numerous nieces and ncphews.
    Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday,
    April 14, 1999. at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 240 I
    Fieldcrest Drive. Kaukauna. The Urban Klister Post 436 will
    meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been
    established in his name.

  • Note: Denese M. Rieth, Kaukauna, age 86, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on July 16, 1928 in Askeaton, daughter of the late Emmett and Viola (Baine) Clancy. On June 19, 1948 she was united in marriage to John Rieth and together they celebrated 51 years of marriage. Denese enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, and gardening.

    She is survived by her 4 children: Nancy Pomeroy, Susie (Fred) Steger, Thomas (Cathy) Rieth and Daniel (Cheryl) Rieth; 12 grandchildren: Lisa (David) Loritz, Casey (Amy) Clark, Toby (Jackie) Clark, Kelly Vanden Elzen, Brady Pomeroy, Ben (Becky) Steger, Candi (Matt) Teske, Amber Steger, Reba (Jake) Vandeloo, Nick Rieth, Jake (Alicia) Rieth, and Ryan Rieth; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Schreck, 3 sisters-in-law: Jane Clancy, Mary Clancy, and Betty Clancy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.

    The Memorial Mass for Denese will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received directly at church on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.   • Note: Rosemary "Rusty" Schoenfelt, Kaukauna, age 92, died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Paul Home with her family by her side. She was born August 31, 1920, daughter of the late John and Rose (Hoenig) Reith. On March 15, 1946 Rusty married G. Norman Schoenfelt. The couple resided in the area their entire married lives. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1979. Rusty loved playing Bingo and was a lover of "crafts". She was proud of her accomplishments. Rusty was a teacher's aid for the Art Class at Nicolet School and enjoyed seeing her "kids" as they grew. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna.

    She is survived by her children: Kristine Schoenfelt and her buddy "Ashes", Beecher, WI, Keith (Deb), Austin, TX, Debra Schoenfelt, James Schoenfelt, and Kurt (Diann) Schoenfelt, all of Kaukauna; 4 grandchildren: Aria (Jason) Kilpatrick, Corbett Schoenfelt, Levi and Erica Schoenfelt; great-grandchildren: Chloe and Cora Rose Kilpatrick; a sister-in-law, Denise Reith, Kaukauna; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend and Bingo buddy, Tim Sturm and all her Bingo friends.

    She was preceded in death by a brother, John; and 2 sisters: Dorothy (Pete) Steffens and "Blondie" (Carl) Giordana.

    A Memorial Service for Rusty will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
