  • Note: Josephine "Jo" Jordan Oudenhoven, of Oneida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 14, 2014.

    Jo was born August 13, 1929, daughter of Ben and Amelia (Wheelock) Jordan. On September 16, 1950 she was united in marriage to Paul Oudenhoven and he preceded her in death in June, 1993.

    Survivors include her son, Tom Oudenhoven and his daughters, Jessica (Shane) Wallenfang and Lindsay Oudenhoven; daughters: Priscilla (Larry) Leverance, and their children: Tiera (Aaron) Schulz and Ian Leverance; Henrietta (Fran) Cornelius, and their children; Lisa (Butch) Summers, and Amelia (Brandon) Cooper; great-grandchildren, she considered her gifts from God: Taylor, Alex, Regina, Richard, Kaylee, Riley, Jameson, Brayden, Lillian, Katelyn, Brandon Jr., Bryce, Jake and Lia; other survivors include her brother, Doyle (Grace) Jordan; sister-in-law, Ruth Oudenhoven; too many special nieces and nephews to mention, and godchildren: Joe Jordan, Sandy Calaway and Margaret Francour.

    Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Mervin, John and Melvin; sisters: Eleanor Jackson, Priscilla Manders, Violet Vieau and Mabel White.

    Jo said her friends knew she loved them all and were aware of what she'd done and left un-done, so there is no need to list any of her accomplishments.

    She has now joined her husband, sisters, brothers, mom and dad, and dog Neghi.

    A memorial service to celebrate that Jo has gone home to be with the Lord will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev.     In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to the American Cancer Society and the Brown County Humane Society.

  • Burial: He was buried in Holy Cross, Kaukauna, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Age 84, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2000 following a brief illness. Gene was born in the Town of Kaukauna on July 16, 1915, son of the late Clifford and Lucy (Busse) Lambie. On September 19, 1940 he married the former Patricia Oudenhoven at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Oneida; she survives. Gene was a lifelong dairy farmer in the town of Kaukauna, and after his retirement was employed by Fox Valley Wood Products. Gene will be remembered for his keen wit and his ability to keep everyone’s attention while telling a good story.

    Survivors include his wife: Pat Lambie of Kaukauna; his four children: Linda (Dick) Tousey of Little Chute, Bob (Joy) Lambie of Roswell, Georgia, Donna (Larry) Ulrich of Kaukauna; Ric (Sherrie) Lambie of Douglasville, Georgia; twelve grandchildren: Michael (LuAnne) Tousey, Richard “Bucky” (Janice) Tousey, Jill (Jerry) Burgbacher, Tara (Matt) Fritsch, Corey (Joanne) Lambie, Cristy (Steve) Hotz, Greg (Emily) Lambie, Stephen Lambie, Tia-Marie Ulrich, Ryun Ulrich, Jesse Lambie, and Joshua Lambie; six great-grandchildren: Nic Tousey, Ian and Delaney Tousey, Austin Fritsch, John Karl Lambie, and Donita Lambie; six step-great-grandchildren: Sam and Shayna Chartier, Jeremy, Jayme, Joy, and Jill Burgbacher; a sister: Irma (Earl) Lintner of Chilton.

    The funeral liturgy for Gene was held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2000 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home on Friday from 4 – 8 PM and again on Saturday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family established a memorial fund in Gene’s name.

    The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful people who cared for Gene during his illness. They include the staff of the ICU at the Appleton Medical Center, the nurses on 4 North, and everyone at Parkside Care Center. Your love and concern was obvious to us all. Thank you so very much. Thanks also to the various Rosin boys who helped out on for the farm for so many years. Your generosity and assistance will never be forgotten.

    Isidore J. Lucassen, Of Little Chute, Dies in Italian Campaign
    Little Chute - Private Isidore J. Lucassen, 32, was killed in action Nov. 8 in Italy, his mother, Mrs. Mary Lucassen, 525 Grand avenue, was informed by the war department Saturday night.
    Private Lucassen is the first Little Chute serviceman to die in action in the present war.
    Lucassen, who was nicknamed “Snare” and played baseball in the Fox River Valley, Northern State and Outagamie County leagues, entered the army March 3, of this year, and took his basic training at Camp Wolters, Texas. He was stationed at the Shenango replacement center at Greenville, Pa., before going overseas.
    He served about a month in North Africa before going into Italy with the Fifth American army. He was an infantryman.
    Born in Little Chute Oct. 8, 1911, he attended St. John school at Little Chute. He was a graduate of St. Norbert High school at DePere and attended St. Norbert college. Before going into service he was employed at the Combined Locks Paper company.
    Survivors are a daughter, Janice, Kaukauna; the mother, Mrs. Mary Lucassen, Little Chute; two brothers, Corporal Lloyd Lucassen, who is in England; Wilfred, Chicago; three sisters, the Misses Frances and Eleanor and Mrs. Wilbur Driessen, Little Chute.
    A requiem mass for the soldier will be said at St. John church, Little Chute.


    Pvt. Isadore J. Lucassen of Little Chute, was killed in Italy on November 80th, 1943, has been awarded the Purple Heart posthumously, the war Department has announced. The Purple Heart medal has been received by his daughter, Janice Lucassen, four years old.

    Little Chute - Technician Fifth Grade Lloyd Lucassen is convalescing in a hospital in England from wounds received in action in the invasion of France, according to word received from him by his mother, Mrs. Mary Lucassen. He is with the armored infantry and has been overseas since August, 1943. He entered service in 1941.

    Lucassen, Marie H. Marie H. Lucassen, Kaukauna, 91, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Kaukauna on April 6, 1916, to the late August and Amelia (Vanevenhoven) Heindel. Marie married Lloyd Lucassen on Thanksgiving Day, 1947, at St. Norbert's. He preceded her in death June 8, 1982. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna. Marie enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking and baking.

    Marie is survived by her children, JoAnn (Michael) Schroeder, Gibson City, Ill. and John (Sharon) Lucassen, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Laura (Steve) Schuette, Jason, Travis, Liza, Cord (Katie) and Jared (Lindsay) Schroeder, Aaron (Lou), Randy (Courtney) and Emily Lucassen; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Schuette, Parker Schroeder and Brett Lucassen; and one brother, Duane (Ann) Heindel. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Heindel and sister, Lorraine (Ivan) VanAkkeren.

    The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday July 30, 2007, at HOLY CROSS PARISH (301 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna) with the Rev. David J. Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Monday until the time of Mass directly at church. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
