    Francis A. Fischer, age 83, died Monday evening, November 10, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. He was born March 1, 1920 in Hortonville, the son of the late Emil and Mary (Meyer) Fischer. On May 24, 1945 he was united in marriage to Marion Kempen. Francis was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Freedom VFW. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere and the Knights of Columbus. Francis farmed in the Seymour area for 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed time spent in Florida, where he and Marion resided for ten years.
    He is survived by his wife, Marion his children: Sharon (Mark) Schrading, Kaukauna Joyce (Greg) Rottier, De Pere Gary (Trena) Fischer, Green Bay Ronald (Robin) Fischer, Howard David (Mary) Fischer, Appleton Michael (Deanna) Fischer, Charleston, SC eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren two sisters: Lorraine King, Appleton Delores Reiland, Hortonville also, two brothers: Robert (Marion) Fischer, Appleton and Donald Fischer, Pella.
    Francis was preceded in death by one son, Tim one grandson, Mark five brothers and three sisters.
    Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Ave., De Pere, on Friday, November 14, 2003 from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father Conrad Kratz, O.Pram officiating. Military rites will follow the service by the Freedom VFW Post #7692. The burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Seymour, WI. The Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.
    A memorial fund has been established.

  • Note: Marion E. Fischer, age 92, of De Pere, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was born June 20, 1923, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (De Bruin) Kempen.

    On May 24, 1945, she was united in marriage to Francis A. Fischer at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom, WI. He preceded her in death November 11, 2003.

    Marion was an active member at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour and later Our Lady of Lourdes in De Pere.

    Marion was a devoted wife and mother. She loved a party or celebration. Marion enjoyed cards, bowling, golfing and most of all times with her family. After retiring from farming, Marion and Francis spend several years in Florida; coming home in the summer months.

    In 1999, they moved back to Wisconsin and resided at St. Mary's St. in De Pere. They enjoyed their new home and getting everything just right. Marion looked forward to being near the family again.

    Marion is survived by her children: Sharon (Mark) Schrading, Kaukauna; Joyce (Greg) Rottier, De Pere; Gary (Trena) Fischer, Armarillo, TX; Ronald (Robin) Fischer, Green Bay; Dave (Mary) Fischer, Appleton; Michael (Deanna) Fischer, Ravenel, SC; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Marion is further survived by a sister, Grace Van De Hei; brothers: Robert (Arlene) Kempen, Francis (Anna Marie) Kempen; brothers-in-law: Robert (Marion) Fischer, Donald Fischer; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    Marion is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; son, Timothy Fischer; grandson, Mark Rottier; two brothers: Raymond (Mary) Kempen and Clarence (Elsie) Kempen; two sisters: Bertha (Ray) Schuh and Stella (Don) Calmes; brothers-in-law: Emil (Marie), Ben (Hilda), Ray (Katherine), Art (Regina), Charles (Helen) Fischer; sisters-in-law: Helen (Joe) Heinemann, Laurene (Mike) King, Marie (Richard) Miller, Marcella (BJ) Roark, and Delores (Cliff) Reiland.

    Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

  • Note: Emily Rasmussen passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Emily was born March 5, 1926 in Appleton, daughter of the late Frank and Rachel (Milheiser) Hogen. She married Ernest Rasmussen on June 7, 1947 in Kimberly; he preceded her in death on October 31, 1995. As a young woman, Emily worked as a nurses’ aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She enjoyed playing pool, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings, and making wagers with family and friends during football season. While Ernest was alive, the couple enjoyed hunting and fishing together. More recently, lively games of dominoes and cards with her friends at Golden Venture Apartments consumed her time.

    Emily is survived by her mother: Elizabeth Hogen of Kimberly; two daughters: Christine (Dennis) Van Vreede of Freedom and Betsy (Ronald) Brockman of Black Creek; two sons: Ernest F. (Ann) Rasmussen of Kaukauna and David (Pat) Rasmussen of Appleton; seven grandchildren: Michael (Tiffany) Van Vreede, Chad Van Vreede, Rachel (Carl) Peterson, Eric Rasmussen, Kirsten Rasmussen, Brandon Rasmussen, and Lindsey Rasmussen; three great-grandchildren: Tyler and Marcus Van Vreede and Ashton Peterson; a sister: Patricia Vander Bloemen of Kimberly; a brother-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. Emily was preceded in death by brothers Willard and Emmett, a sister Dorothy, and a brother-in-law Dennis Vander Bloemen.

    Funeral services for Emily will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home in Kimberly with Fr. Robert Udulutsch, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services.
