    Vander Heiden, Lloyd

    Lloyd Vander Heiden, 80, Kaukauna died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at St. Paul Home. Lloyd was born Oct. 11, 1923, in the Town of Kau-kauna, to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Dolan) Vander Heiden. On May 14, 1947, he married the former Mildred Van Hammond in Little Chute at St. John’s Catholic Church. Lloyd served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Urban Klister American Legion Post #436. He farmed most of his life and served as supervisor of the Town Board of Kaukauna for many years. Lloyd was an active member of the Wisconsin Horse Pullers Association. He had a sense of humor, loved to sing and listen to country music and was the life of the party. He will be sadly missed by his family.

    Survivors include his wife Mildred; three daughters, Betty (Guy) Senso, Kaukauna; Joyce (Tom) Lamers, Appleton; Janet (Mike) Vander Loop, Kaukauna; four sons, Bill (Margie), Kaukauna; Bob (Deb), Darboy; Mark (Sue), Kaukauna; Pete (Linda), De Pere; 15 grandchildren, Paul (Renee) Senso, Sarah Verhagen, Jill Senso, Sara (Doug) Van Duyse, Lisa Lamers, Eric (Karen) Vander Loop, Lana (Jeff) Shulse, Craig (fiance, Kelly) Vander Heiden, Sally (Pete) Kiefer, Jay, Troy and Tyler Vander Heiden, Chad and Cory Vander Heiden, and Stephanie Eichorst; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph (Rose) Vander Heiden, Kaukauna. Lloyd is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy; a brother, Francis; and a sister. Lorraine Kieffer. Friends may call at the DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish prayer service 7 p.m. with American Legion service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the church with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patricks Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

    Lloyd’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and faculty at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna for their special care and concern.

  • Note: Kaukauna - Mildred "Milly" Vander Heiden, age 93, of Kaukauna, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 6, 2018. She was born May 13, 1924 in Isaar, Wisconsin to the late Arnold and Antoinette (Vander Velden) Van Hammond. Prior to marriage, Mildred worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill and St. Elizabeth Hospital. On May 14, 1947 she married Lloyd Vander Heiden and they celebrated 57 years of marriage before Lloyd passed in 2004. Mildred was a loving and caring wife and mother. Life on the farm presented the opportunity for her to stay at home and care for the children. A role that came very natural to her. Mildred was a gentle soul. She welcomed anyone to sit at her table for family gatherings. The more the merrier.

    Survivors include her three daughters: Betty (Guy) Senso of Kaukauna, Joyce (Tom) Lamers of Appleton, Janet (Mike) Vander Loop of Darboy; three sons: Bill (Margie) of Kaukauna, Bob (Deb) of Darboy, Mark (Sue) of Kaukauna; 15 grandchildren: Paul (Renee) Senso, Sarah Van Heuklon, Jill Senso, Sara (Doug) Van Duyse, Lisa (Lance) Van Straten, Craig (Kelly) Vander Heiden, Sally Kiefer, Jay (special friend Niki) Vander Heiden, Eric (Karen) Vander Loop, Lana (Jeff) Shulse, Cory (Marissa) Vander Heiden, Chad (Courtney) Vander Heiden, Troy (Melissa) Vander Heiden, Tyler (special friend Clair) Vander Heiden, Stepahnie Vander Heiden; 21 great-grandchildren: Madison and Mason Senso, Carley Verhagen, Liam Van Heuklon, Logan and Caden Van Duyse, Chase Van Straten, Jordi and Hunter Siebers, Randy and Casen Vander Heiden, Grace and Michael Keifer, Alex and Will Vander Loop, Austin Shulse, Chloe, Olivia, Henry, Hunter and Morgan Vander Heiden. Mildred is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sons Randy and Peter; siblings: Johanna and Harriet Van Hammond, John and John Joseph Van Hammond, Agnes (George) Wydeven, Frances (Joseph) Gerrits, Lorriane (Earl Debruin) (Milton) Daniels, Verna (Tony) Gloudemans, Martin (Alice) Van Hammond and Joseph (Gladys) Van Hammond; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Francis and Joseph (Rosie) Vander Heiden and Lorraine (Orville) Kieffer.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish- St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, January 10, from 1:00pm until 3:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00pm Wednesday with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Snyderville. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.

  • Note: Mark Peeters, 88, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on Tuesday evening, July 2, 2013. Mark was born December 7, 1924, son of the late Stephen and Dinah (Dercks) Peeters. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946 and was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute. Mark married Mary Ellen Degeneffe on May 22, 1947. He was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Mark was the owner and operator of Paper Seconds Store in Little Chute from 1971 to 1990. In his later years, he enjoyed family gatherings and bird watching.

    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ronald Belitz officiating. Full military honors will be performed by members of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 immediately following the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit the Voice of Compassion.

    The Peeters family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff members of St. Elizabeth Hospital's second floor for your wonderful care given to our Dad.

    Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He was kind, gentle and always positive. Mark's greatest joy was his family. Those lives that Mark has touched have been truly blessed, and Mark will be missed by all who knew him. A double rainbow, a sign of hope, was present as Mark was welcomed into our Lord's arms.
