She is survived by two daughters, Miss Marion DeCoster, of Combined Locks; Mrs. Charles (Lucina) Miller, Brillion; six sons, Clarence, of Appleton; Richard, Joseph and the Chester, all of Combined Locks; Raymond, of Neenah; Robert, of Kaukauna; three brothers, Louis Verhagen, of Appleton; Nicholas, of Menasha; Peter, of Little Chute; two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Vandenheuvel, of Little Chute; Mrs. Anton (Mathilda) Oudenhoven, of Kimberly; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks with Reverend Robert Vandenberg officiating. Internment will be in the St. John's cemetery, Little Chute.

Survivors are the widow; six sons, Clarence, Richard, Joseph, Ray, Robert, Chester; two daughters, Lucina and Marion, all of Combined Locks; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew DeCoster Little Chute; four brother; Nick, George, Kaukauna; Leonard, John, Little Chute; four sisters, Mrs. Peter Aweyenberg, Seymour; Mrs. William Evers. Mrs. Joseph Plauck, Little Chute; Mrs. George Huss, Kaukauna. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Paul's church, Combined Locks. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Little Chute.

Mr. Wyro was a former tavern owner and member of the Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include a son, Floyd, 1110 N. Second Ave, Wausau; a daughter Mrs. Rufus (Irene) Wanta, 125 Ethel St., Wausau; a stepdaughter , Mrs. Kenneth (Merk) Schiefelbein; 10 grandchildren, two step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Funeral services will be at 9:00 Wednesday morning at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery. The rosary will be recited 830 Tuesday evening at the BrettSchneider funeral home where friends may call after 7:00 tonight.   • Note: Oudenhoven, Matilda (Verhagen) 1981 Appleton Post Crescent dated 12/16/1981; Mrs. Anton P. Oudenhoven, (Mathilda Verhagen), age 79 died Friday evening after a long illness. She was born April 1st, 1902 in Kaukauna. She lived in the Fox Valley area all of her life. Mrs. Oudenhoven was a life member of the third order of St. Francis, a member of the Kimberly Golden Agers, Holy Name Catholic Church, the ladies of Holy Name and the mission society. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Rita) VanSambeek, of Kimberly, a son Kenneth, of Milwaukee, two sons and daughters in law, Jerome and Marion, Donald and Carol all of Kimberly, a brother Nick Verhagen, of Menasha, 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and three brothers. The funeral be at 12 noon Monday with a concelebrated Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly with Rev. Greg Smith Monsignor Jim Vandenhogen and Deacon Dennis Drury officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with internment in the parish cemetery.
  • Note: ANTHONY OR TONY, born March 26, 1899 and died March 14, 1968. He married
    Matilda (Tilley) Verhagen, their children are Je~ome, Kenneth, Rita and
    Donald. Tony worked for the Kimberly Clark Co. as a millwright. He was about
    6-ft tall and weighed about 190. They lived next door to the Wests in the
    Volkman house that had belonged to Fred and Lizzie Volkman, she was a sister
    to Anna Meyers West and in here life time took care of Nick West a son of
    Geo. West a brother of Albert John West. Tone would come over and help the
    West boy cut the large lawn, When the West sold the Meyer house they moved
    into the Volkman house and Tony and his family moved to Kimberly.

    Born in 1931 in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Attended college at the Salvatorian St. Nazianz Seminary where he received his undergraduate degree. He obtained his PHD in English Literature at Yale University.

    He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 - 1955

    Dr. Derus taught English at the University of Illinois at the Urbana-Champaign campus for six year. After leaving there he moved to San Francisco and became Professor of English Literature at the University of San Francisco from 1966 to 1992. Dr. Derus was a published Poet including works touching on his youth in Wisconsin.

    Member of St. Brendan Church, San Francisco.

    He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Ruth Derus and sister Lorena (Robert) Hooyman of Minnetonka and by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Brothers Leonard Derus, Robert Derus and Dr. Gerald Derus. Sisters; Sister Jean Derus, OP and Nathalie Kehoe, Parents Joseph and Gertrude (Biese) Derus of Kaukauna.

    Donations can be made to the University of San Francisco in his name.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Brendan Church, 29 Rockaway Ave at Ulloa St., San Francisco on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. where the Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Private committal in Holy Cross Cemetery.
