She was born in Little Chute on January 28, 1932 to the late George and Catherine (Schumacher) Ryba. Rosie married George Huss at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on June 24, 1950. She worked as a typesetter. Through her career, she was employed at Driessen Printing, Morgan Printing, Baer Printing and Pechman Imaging. Rosie's hobbies included gardening, quilting, knitting, ceramics and ice fishing. She was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish where she spent many hours volunteering painting, food preparation for the fish fries and folding weekly bulletins. Rosie also volunteered at Thousand Islands Nature Center.

    Rosie is survived by her husband George, married 66 years, children: Marty (Carol) of Kaukauna; Mary (Richard) Stillman of Greenleaf; Steve (Sandy) of Kaukauna; Chuck (Joan) of Kaukauna; and Tim (Annie) of Hartford; grandchildren: Janella (Jamie) Mader, Andy (Stacy) Huss, Patrick (Liz) Stillman, Lindsay (Rob) Vander Heiden, Rachelle (Ryan) Hansen, Jared (Alisha) Huss, Jackie (Marty) De Coster, Charlene (Mike) Zuleger, Jenny Huss, Ryan (Amanda) Huss, Cory (Deena) Huss, Amber and Brittany Huss; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerry (Dee), Floyd (Arlene), and Kenneth (Rosie) Huss and John Schmidt. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle; great grandson, Ryder; great great granddaughter, MicKenzie; siblings: Martha ("Red" Francis) Vaughn, Raymond, Henry, Elmer (Lucille), Orville ("Peanuts" Thelma), infant sister Evelyn and Robert Ryba; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Agnes), Sylvester (Ethel), infant Katherine, Robert (Millie), Cleon (Marion) Huss and Nancy Schmidt.

    Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.   • Note: Nancy M. Schmidt, Kaukauna, age 78, passed away peacefully with her family and close friend at her side, on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at home after living with leukemia for a few years. She was born August 26, 1936, daughter of the late George Sr. and Katherine (DeCoster) Huss, the youngest in the family with eight older brothers. Nancy graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1954. In August 1955 she married John B. Schmidt at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They farmed all their married life in the Town of Woodville, retiring in the same area. Nancy was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown.

    She is survived by her husband, John and 2 daughters, 5 sons and 13 grandchildren: Cynthia (John) Hill and their daughter, Jacquelyn; Beth (Tom) Feuerstein and their daughter, Rachel and son, Ryan; Brian (Pamela) Schmidt and their sons, Nathan and Adam and daughter, Mikayla; Bruce (Colleen) and their sons, Kyle and Matthew; Craig; Corey (Kathleen) and their sons, Derek, Tyler and Logan; Chad (Terri) and their daughters, Ava and Mackenzie. Nancy is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerry (Dee) Huss, Marion Huss, Floyd (Arlene) Huss, George (Rosie) Huss, and Ken (Rosie) Huss. She is also survived by John's brother, Donald Schmidt; a sister-in-law, Dot Schmidt; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Agnes) Huss, Sylvester (Ethel) Huss, Robert (Millie) Huss and Cleon Huss. She was further preceded in death by John's family: Rosella (Harry) Packowski, Genevieve (Aloysius "Wiss") Schuh, Evelyn (Herman) Nehring, Marie (Earl) Hackbarth, Harriet (Tom) Christianson, Theresa Holewinski, Willard Schmidt, Alphonse Schmidt and Marge Schmidt.

    Funeral services for Nancy will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Katherine Drexel Parish at St. Francis Church, Hollandtown with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 8:00 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again directly at church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    Millie loved playing cards, baking and cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute.

    Biese, Mary (nee Coonen) Mary Biese, of Kaukauna, age 96 years, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the St. Paul Home. Mary was born on April 23, 1910, in Jump River, Wisconsin, to the late Arnold and Anna (DeBruin) Coonen. Her father died when she was only six months old. When her mother Anna married John DeCoster, the family moved back to Kaukauna. On May 19, 1931, Mary married Aloysius Biese at St. Mary Church where she continued to be a lifelong and very active member of the parish. Together they farmed and raised a family. Mary loved to sew, peel potatoes, made excellent pie crust and peeled apples for many an apple pie. She was very proud of all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught many of them to sew, the girls learned to braid hair and many a grandchild learned the game of sheepshead and checkers from her. Mary volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and St. Paul Home. In 2003, Mary received the life-time achievement award from the service organizations of Kaukauna.

    Mary is survived by her nine children: Marvin (Pat) Biese, Wrightstown; Mark (Janet) Biese, Townsend; Marie (Charlie) Wall, Greenleaf; Gerald (Mary Beth) Biese, Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Carol (Mike) Hagens, Darboy; Joan Hagens, Laona; Jim (Bonnie) Biese, Greenleaf; Helen (Stan) Dercks, Kaukauna; Ann (Roger) Huss, Kaukauna; 39 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren; and a sister: Delia (nee Decoster) Schumacher-Hauser, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Mary was preceded in death by her parents and step-father; her husband, Aloysius; a son, Arnold; a daughter, Jane Brautigan; a granddaughter, Mary Biese; great grandchildren: Gavin Hug and Rose Schroedl-Dercks, a son-in-law, Ralph Hagens; brothers: Ben (Rose) Coonen, George (Ruth) Coonen, Henry "Hank" (Ceil) Coonen, Albert (Agnes) DeCoster and Martin (Hattie) DeCoster; brothers-in-law: Bill Schumacher and Carl Hauser and her husband's family: Lena (Frank) Van Camp, Mary (Pete) Onkels, Pete (Ella) Biese, Frank (Clara) Biese, Elizabeth Biese and Henry (Catherine) Biese.

    The funeral liturgy for Mary will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kaukauna Catholic School System Endowment Fund appreciated.
