    Lillian is survived by her grandchildren: Dawn (Ed) Zenisek, and their children: Cody and Dylan; Randy Huss (special friend, Jennifer Pappno) and his children: Carlie, Brody and Riley; Holly (Scott) Fietzer and their children: Tylin and Mason; Chad (Larissa) Huss and their children: Katelyn, Ava and Alexis; Terry (Annie) Huss and their children: Reid, Drew, Ross and Leah; a daughter-in-law: Carol Huss; a half-sister: Janice Siebers; nieces and nephews: Judy Azure, Dennis, Gary, Dale, Rick, Scott, and Wendy Siebers, Cindy Kirck, Jim, Brian and Rick Agen and Julie Wiegers. Lillian was preceded in death by her husbands: John Huss and Vince Lucas; her son: Neil Huss; her daughter: Joyce Huss; a brother: Ray (Nelda) Agen; two sisters: Marie (Syl) Van Gompel, and Bonita (Harvey) Neuman; two half brothers: infant Richard Agen and Robert Agen; six nephews and one niece.

    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Paul Home and especially the nurses and and all who cared for her on Magnolia Way. The St. Paul Hospice staff was wonderful.

    In following with Lillian's wishes there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

    Lillian could play a piano and organ like no other! She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

    Age 73, died Sunday, January 6, 1985 after a long illness. She was born January 20, 1911, in the Town of Freedom, and had been a life long resident of the Kaukauna area. She was a member of the Christian Mothers of the Holy Cross Catholic Church.

    Survivors include her husband, Howard; two daughters and sons in-law, Patricia and Roger Bowers, Kaukauna; Judy and Gary Young, Appleton; two sons and three daughters in-law, Dan and Margie, Kaukauna; Jame and Leta, Little Chute; Roselia Verbeten, Kaukauna; a brother, Arthur [Bud] Huss, Little Chute; a sister, Mrs Leo [Stella] Schultz, Sturgeon Bay; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by six brothers, Ted, Nick, Ray, Elmer, John, Bill and a sister, Mrs. Christine Nelessen.

    The funeral will be at 12 noon Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday morning after 11 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Howard E. Verbeten

    Age 85, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 7, 1995 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born May 23, 1910 in the Tow of Buchanan, the son of the late John C. and Julia [Van Lanen] Verbeten. He moved to Wrightstown in 1918. He attended St. Paul's Grade School graduating in 1923, graduating from Wrightstown High School in 1927, also attending Green Bay Business College for a year. Working for A.O. Smith Corp. of Milwaukee before moving back of the farm in 1932. On November 15, 1932 he married Mabel Huss of Freedom, of which they had four children. He later was employed by Van Zeeland Implement Co. and in 1956 buying a business. He then sold the business tin 1973 and retired. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, Knights of Columbus, Golden Agers. He was a hunter and fisherman, and love to play cards.

    He is survived by his wife, Josephine Van Handel [Tobin] Verbeten; two sons and three daughters in-law, James and Leta Verbeten, Little Chute; Daniel and Margie Verbeten, Kaukauna; Rosie Verbeten, Kaukauna; two daughters and sons in-law, Pat and Roger Bowers, Kaukauna; Judy and Gary Young, Appleton; 25 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; a sister in-law, Lillian Lucas, Kaukauna; his wife's brothers and sisters; Harriet Busch, Della Grimm, Helen and Louie Mc Cormick, Ruth Hartjes, Larry and Babe Van Handel, Willard and Millie Van Handel, Louise Van Handel; many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Huss in 1985; half brothers and sisters on the Van Lanen side, Minnie and Andrew Kerkoff, Jane and Pete Liebergen, Mathilda and Henry Arnoldussen, Ann and Richard Lamers, Suzanne and Pete Verbeten, Elvira and Harold Verbeten, Frank and Kate Van Lanen, John Van Lanen; half brothers and sisters on the Verbeten side; Jane and Ted Micke, Nellie and Frank Johnson, Hattie and Norbert Diehl, Kate and Herman Klister, Marie and George Lamers, Martin 'Wrinkle' and Ceil Verbeten, Neil and Belle Verbeten, Arnold and Mary Verbeten, Harold and Lena Verbeten; his first wife's brothers and sisters; Christine and John Nelessen, Stella and Jerry Schultz, Ted Huss, Nick and Nellie Huss, John and Lillian Huss, Elmer and Bernetta Huss, Raymond and Elsie Huss, William Huss, Arthur and Evelyn Huss.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. on Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m. and an 8 p.m. prayer service on Sunday.
