    Age 2, son of Guy School, Kaukauna and Sherrie Schuh, Appleton, passed away Monday, November 16, 1987 at Milwaukee Childrens Hospital. He was born December 30, 1984 in Kaukauna.

    Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Gary Frank Schuh, Amasa, Michigan; LaVerne Schuh, Appleton; paternal grandparents, Alois and Irene School, Kaukauna; maternal great grandmother, Beatrice Schuh, Fond du Lac; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins.

    The funeral will be at 12 noon Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral, Kaukauna, from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday until the cortege leaves for the church.

  • Note: Raymond E. Vandenberg, Little Chute, age 91, died Tuesday May 25, 2010, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin surrounded by his family. Raymond was born on June 8, 1918 in Stanley, Wisconsin. He served from 1941 through 1945 during WWII as Staff Sgt. U.S. Army. On April 16, 1947 he was united in marriage to Margaret VanderWyst. Raymond was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 and the Kaukauna VFW Post 3319. He retired from Thilmany Paper Mill in 1980 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and tinkering with small engines. Family and friends were a very important part of his life.

    Raymond is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret; children: Kathy Haupt, Little Chute; Bob (Sue)Vandenberg, Silver Cliff; Mike Vandenberg, Little Chute; Gary (Mary) Vandenberg, Niagara; Dan (Deb) Vandenberg, Kaukauna; and Lori (Tom) Paque, Lodi; 13 grandchildren: Karrie (Doug) Thompson; Brian (Patti) Haupt; Amy (Jim) Sebert; Mark (Jessie) Vandenberg; Robin, Hollie, Darren and Jamie Vandenberg; Amanda, Angie and Jesse Vandenberg; Phil and Sam Paque; eight great grandchildren: Jake, Lexie, Tori, Tyler, Sydney, Mack, Kaleb, Kyla and Brooke; brothers: Harold and Roy (Mary Anne) Vandenberg; sisters-in-law: Dorothy VanDeurzen, Bernice (Pat) Blohm, Mitt Vandenberg, Betty VanderWyst and Carol VanderWyst.

    In addition to his parents, Arthur and Catherine Vandenberg; his mother and father-in-law, John and Frances VanderWyst, Raymond was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Bob Haupt; brothers Elmer (Ruth) and John Vandenberg; sisters Irene (Al) School and Marcy Vandenberg; sisters-in-law Marie Vandenberg and Virginia Vandenberg; and brothers-in-law Roger, Joe (Betty), Rich VanderWyst and Jim VanDeurzen.

    Visitation will be held on Friday May 28, 2010, beginning at 9:15 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute). The Rev.   • Death: He died on December 1, 2014, at age 65.
  • Note: Robert J. Vandenberg, Silver Cliff, formerly of Little Chute, age 65, died unexpectedly Monday December 1, 2014. He was born in Appleton on October 14, 1949 to the late Raymond and Margaret (Vander Wyst) Vandenberg. After graduation from St. John's High School in 1967, Bob was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

    Bob married Susan Alger on January 14th, 1972 at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna and they later resided in Little Chute.

    Bob worked at Thilmany Papers as a paper machine tender and paper machine supervisor for 42 years. After his retirement in 2008, Bob and Sue moved to their retirement home in Silver Cliff, WI and for the past 4 years wintered in Texas.

    Bob was a true outdoorsman and had a lifelong love of hunting and fishing. He took many wonderful trips with his friends and his family to Alaska, Colorado, Kansas and Canada. Bob enjoyed hosting fish fries for his family and friends and no one ever left hungry. He loved to be outside splitting wood, feeding the birds and golfing in his Monday/Thursday league. Bob was very handy and was known to help his neighbors with all their projects. Most people know he could fix just about anything. Bob was also a volunteer for the Silver Cliff Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

    Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue; children: Amy (Jim) Sebert of Fond du Lac; Mark (Jessie) Vandenberg of Darboy; grandchildren: Sydney, Mack, Kaleb, Kyla and Brooke; sisters: Kathy Haupt and Lori (Tom) Paque; brothers: Mike, Gary (Mary) and Dan (Deb) Vandenberg; and sister-in-law: Jill Alger. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death in by Susan's parents: Bernard and Gloria (Huss) Alger; and brother-in-law: Bob Haupt.

    Visitation will be held Friday December 5, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) from 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Military rites conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Green Bay Chapter 224 will immediately follow.

    In addition to the funeral in Little Chute, a memorial gathering will be held Saturday December 20, 2014 at the Silver Cliff Town Hall, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

    Robert Lee Haupt

    Age 58, Little chute, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born, November 22, 1946, in Little Chute, son of Joseph and Martha (Winius) Haupt. Bob married Kathy Vandenberg, September 14, 1968, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, where he was a lifetime member. He was a former member of the Army Reserves. Bob was employed at Thilmany’s for 36 years, most recently as a mason until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends at the cottage on Roberts Lake. He was a huge NASCAR fan, enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, and hunting. The family trip to Mexico was a cherished memory by Bob and his family. The “special gals” in Bob’s life will always remember the crafts given to them at Christmas time every year.

    Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy, his mother, Martha Haupt, Little Chute; daughter, Karrie (Doug) Thompson, Little Chute; son, Brian (Patti) Haupt, Little Chute; grandchildren; Tori Jo and Tyler Haupt and Jake and Lexie Thompson: sisters: Carol (John) Baker, Appleton and Chris Haupt, Little Chute: mother and father-in-law: Margaret and Ray Vandenberg, Little Chute: brothers-in-law; Bob (Sue), Mike, Gary (Mary) and Dan (Deb) Vandenberg; numerous nieces and nephews.

    Bob was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Haupt in 1987.

    Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.
