  • Note: Cecilia "Ceil" (Albers) Heezen, 94, De Pere, passed away early Thursday morning, May 27, 2010, at a local hospital following a short illness. The daughter of the late Frank and Delia (Lamers) Albers was born Nov. 8, 1915.

    On Aug.1, 1945 she married Lambert Heezen at St. Boniface Church, in De Pere. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1972.

    Ceil worked at West De Pere High School retiring in 1986. She volunteered at Woodside and Rennes Nursing Homes, St. Vincent De Paul, Church Mission Group and sang with the funeral choir. Cecilia and her husband also took in several foster children over the years. Ceil enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading, and was an avid Packer fan.

    Survivors include her daughter, Gladys Delmont, DeSoto, Texas; son, Paul (Lynn) Heezen and daughter-in-law, Laverne Heezen, De Pere; 12 grandchildren, Sue Ann (Darren) Aduddell, Dan (Melissa) Delmont, David Delmont, Sandra (Dave) Koneiczny, Mary Kay (Steve) Predayna, Donna (Mark) Schott, Sharon (Randy) Ellner, Kathy (Doug) Hoppe, Julie (Jody) Chosa, Jenny Heezen, Troy and his fiancee, Celeste, Kevin (Melissa) Heezen; 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband; stepmother, Henrietta "Hattie" (Vanden Elzen) Albers; parents; son, Henry Heezen; son-in-law Thomas Delmont; sisters, Marie Carpiaux, Florence (Norbert) Mooren, Mae (Cyrus) Le Anna; stepbrothers, Matt (Lorraine), Richard (Hannah) and Bernard Hermans; and three great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, Lourdes Avenue at Suburban Drive, De Pere, on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass.   • Note: Sharon A. (Heezen) Ellner, 53, Pulaski died peacefully Saturday evening, June 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family, following a five year courageous battle with breast cancer. The third of six children was born June 9, 1962 in DePere to Henry and Laverne (Smits) Heezen. Sharon grew up in rural Wrightstown where she graduated from Wrightstown High School with the class of 1980. Following graduation, Sharon went to UW-Oshkosh where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in special education. Always a strong believer of higher education, Sharon went on in later years to earn a Masters Degree in special education and obtained her license and certification for Director of Technology. She was currently working toward her Instructional Design certification.

    On June 29, 1985 she married Randy Ellner in Wrightstown. The couple lived in the Green Bay area before settling in Pulaski 20 years ago. She loved her role as mother of their two children Marissa and Zach. She enjoyed family time and always welcomed her children's friends into their family home.

    Early in her teaching profession, Sharon was employed in Howard and DePere school districts before starting a 27 year career in the Pulaski School District in special education. She was a member of the Green Bay Community Church and an active participant in the Pulaski Relay For Life for many years. Sharon will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, Mother, teacher, and friend.

    Survivors are her husband of 30 years, Randy Ellner, Pulaski; their two children, Zachary Ellner, Green Bay; Marissa Ellner, a student at U of MN; her mother, Laverne Heezen, DePere; five sisters who she dearly loved, Mary Kay (Steve) Predayna, Appleton; Donna (Mark) Schott, Neenah; Kathy (Doug) Hoppe, Burlington; Julie Chosa, Wrightstown; Jenny Heezen, DePere; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Ellner, Oconto Falls; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan (Rick) Krumrei, Gillett; Patti Ellner-Hagans, Burnsville, MN; Quinn (Lisa) Ellner, China; Kim (Mike) Johnson, Pulaski; many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her father Henry Heezen, father-in-law Bob Ellner, one brother-in-law, Greg Olson and a special nephew Drew Olson.

    Visitation will be held 3-8pm Thursday, June 9, 2016 in the chapel at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay. Visitation, with the casket closed, will continue after 9:30 am Friday, June 10, 2016 at Green Bay Community Church until the time of funeral services at 11 am Friday with Pastor Kim Sechler officiating. Cremation will follow.

    Fortified by the Sacraments of the Church, Ronald "Ron" Mooren, 73, De Pere passed away on Saturday March 11, 2017. He was born June 2, 1943 to the late Norbert and Florence (Albers) Mooren. Ron was a graduate of Abbot Pennings High School. On October 11, 1969 he married Jean Selissen. Ron retired from Procter and Gamble after 35 years. He was a faithful member of St. Michael Church, De Pere where he belonged to The Holy Name Society. Ron enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends, and liked to attend his grandchildren's activities. He was a good natured person who always had a wink and smile for everyone.

    He is survived by his children: Betsy Heinemeyer, Cindy (Mike) Vander Heiden, Pete (Katie) Mooren, and Joe Mooren. Ron is further survived by 8 grandchildren: Savannah, Isaiah, Adrian, Morgan, Emily, Landon, Asher, and Gemma. His sister Kathy (Jim) Kocken, mother in law Laverne Selissen, and Jean's family also survive him.

    Ron was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 2014, and his brother George.

    Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM - 8:00PM Friday March 17, 2017. The Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary at 7:00PM.   • Note: Jean M. Mooren, 67, of De Pere passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning January 21, 2014. She was born July 23, 1946 to Laverne Selissen and the late Lawrence Selissen. On October 11, 1969 she married Ron Mooren. Jean enjoyed traveling with Ron, and attending her grandchildren's activities. She volunteered for over twenty years at St. Vincent Hospital. Jean was also a devout member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Rosary Club.

    She is survived by her husband Ron, her children; Betsy Heinemeyer, Cindy (Mike) Vander Heiden, Pete (Katie) Mooren, and Joe Mooren. Jean is further survived by her seven grandchildren; Savannah, Isaiah, Adrian, Morgan, Emily, Landon, and Asher. Her mother Laverne Selissen, as well as her siblings, Sister Jean Paul Selissen CSJ, Mary Jo (Ken) Gerrits, Bill (Terry) Selissen, Kathy Paque, David (Kris) Selissen, Rita (Steve) Lacenski, Ann (Dan) Shibler, and Ron's sister Kathy (Jim) Kocken, and numerous nieces and nephews survive Jean.

    She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Selissen, one sibling, Sister Rita Lawrence Selissen CSJ, brothers in law; Dave Paque, and George Mooren, a nephew Steve Paque, and her in laws Norbert and Florence Mooren.

    Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere after 4pm Friday January 24, 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church 1782 Chapelle Rue, De Pere. A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be held at 11am, led by Father Daniel Themann SSPX.
