    Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. John Siebers, Kaukauna; two daughters, Lynn and Barbara, at home; seven brothers, Harvey, Floyd, Emmett, Ronald and David Siebers, Kaukauna; Gerald and Arthur Siebers, California; four sisters, Mrs. Cletus [Betty] Schaefer and Mrs. Louis [Madelyn] Bergeron, Kaukauna; Mrs John [Lorraine] Stieger, Appleton; Mrs. Frank [Cordell] Ringwelski, Long Beach, California.

    Double funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin A. Schilling officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.

    Age 42, died Friday evening after a long illness. He was born December 6, 1930 in Kaukauna. He was a life long resident of the area and had been employed at Combined Locks Mill of Appleton Papers for over 21 years. He was a Korean War Veteran, a member of Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 and Kaukauna American Legion Post 41.

    Survivors include his wife, Mary [Strobl]; his mother, Mrs. John Siebers of Kaukauna; two daughters, Debra and Dianne; five sons, Lee, Bruce, Brian, Larry and Richard, all at home; six brothers, Harvey, Emmett, Floyd and Ronald, all of Kaukauna; Arthur and Gerald, both of California; four sisters, Mrs. Cletus [Elizabeth] Schaeffer and Mrs. Louis [Madlynn] Bergeron, both of Kaukauna; Mrs. Frank [Cordell] Ringwelski, Long Beach, California and Mrs. Joh [Lorraine] Stoeger of Appleton.

    Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Rev. Charles Fredericks will officiate. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be a memorial service at 7 a.m. by the veterans groups and a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday.

  • Note: Floyd Mark Siebers, age 85, passed away at his home on Sunday morning October 29th, 2017.

    Floyd was born on September 28th, 1932 and lived his entire life in Kaukauna with the exception of his time in active service.

    Floyd was drafted and served in the Army in Company One in the 4th Infantry division. He achieved the rank of Corporal, and was stationed in Fairbanks Alaska with the Ski Patrol. While in the military he earned the National Defense Service medal and a Sharp Shooter medal. After his time in service, on September 23rd, 1958 he joined the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 where he was an active member and served on the Firing Squad for over 50 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 258 in Little Chute and served 61 years as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1033.

    He worked in the Construction Building trades for many years with many different crews, and was proud of all the projects he worked on, including the Prange building, and the AAL building downtown Appleton. He developed lifetime friendships from those work crews. He also worked 12 years for the Village of Combined Locks with the Street Department and in Parks. Prior to retiring he worked through Building Services at the Combined Locks mill until his retirement.

    Floyd is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel (Janice) Siebers of Waupun; and one daughter and son-in-law, Amy (Matthew) Graminske of Appleton; along with three grandsons: Joshua Siebers, Michael Powell, Matthew Powell, all of Appleton; and 5 step grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister, Lorraine (John, deceased) Stoeger; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald (Mary) Siebers; and a sister-in-law, Janice Siebers. He also has many nieces and nephews.

    Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine (Green) Siebers; five sisters: Florence, Laverne, Elizabeth, Cordell, and Madelyn; five brothers: Harvey, Gerald, Arthur, Emmet (Bing) and David; and many brothers and sisters-in-law. He was also preceded in death by his ex-wife Susan (Lenhart) Petznick of Appleton. They remained lifelong friends.

    Floyd was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years and his family and friends were very important to him. He loved socializing and enjoyed playing his harmonica especially when accompanied by others playing the harmonica or accordion. Polkas were his music of choice. His yard and his garden occupied his time and he was very proud of how well he kept it up. Floyd was generous and loved giving away the fruits of his labors. He had a funny sense of humor and a warm, kind spirit. Dad, we love you and will miss you dearly.

    Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.   • Note: Betty A. Mortell, age 90, of Menasha, passed away on April 5, 2016. She was born on June 15, 1925, to the late Howard and Elizabeth (Green) Crosby. On November 6, 1956, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Mortell. After graduating from Appleton West High School, she attended Mercy Hospital of Nursing. Betty spent most of her career working as an RN in the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, and her beloved son, David. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy, grand-dog, Bella and grand-cat Mr. Lola (Denver, Colorado) as well as numerous others who affectionately called her "mom" and family friends and relatives.

    On December 2, 1979, Betty wrote: "To whom it may concern: When I die (I'd like to say "if" but that would be too conceited). I have the following wishes concerning my departure. I wish to be cremated. I do not wish any visitation or memorial service. If any contributions are made I trust my survivors' judgement as to what use these are put to. (never end a sentence with a preposition!)"

  • Note: Dorothy "Dot" Siebers nee Timmers, 97, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Paul Home. Dorothy was born on May 4, 1919 to Nicholas and Mary (Korty) Timmers. On October 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marvin Siebers and they spent 44 wonderful years. Together they adopted two children then six and 14 months and were wonderful and loving parents. Dot was devote in her faith, never prideful, led by example and preferred to work quietly in the back ground drawing no attention to herself. She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish and School in Kaukauna, over the years she was a member of the Christian Women, did bookwork for the school office, worked in the library, sang in the Queen of Peace Choir, was part of their prayer chain and volunteered at a homeless shelter. Dot was a Knights of Columbus Lady, part of the Foresters Investment group and was honored for donating 17 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. She loved sports, playing basketball in high school, bowling and golfing in women's and couples leagues with her husband. Dot challenged herself throughout her life with her own dark room, learning to play slide guitar, sewing items from her swimsuits to suits for herself with a matching tie for her husband. She was a meticulous bookkeeper and earned her certificate in tax preparation form Appleton Technical School. She loved to knit and crochet, making countless afghans, sweaters, baby blankets for church and loved crafting with a family group called the "Knit Pickers".

    Dorothy is survived by her children; Thomas Siebers, Kaukauna, and Patricia (Steven) Varick, Racine, grandchildren; Douglas Siebers, Andrea (Nate) Ortleib, Gregory Siebers, Nicholas Siebers, Lauren Sroka and Amy (Cameron) Schubert. She is further survived by great grandchildren; Ariana, Evelyn Emmett and Audrina, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dot was preceded in death by her husband Marvin and her siblings; Theodore, William, Ella, Bertha, Nicholas, Gertrude, Rosella, Richard, Joseph, and Mabel.

    The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL, ST. MARY CHURCH,119 W. 7th St. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.     The family would like to thank Dorothy's family and friends who were always faithful visitors and especially while she lived at the Golden Venture apartments in Kaukauna as well as the special ladies from Right At Home who's help kept her as independent as possible.     Miss Vione Siebers, 21, 902 Roosevelt St., Kaukauna, died at 12:15 this morning after a 2 month illness. She was born in Kaukauna February 16, 1920, and attend Holy Cross School, graduating from Kaukauna High School in 1938. She was a member of the Holy Cross Church C.Y.O. and was employed by the Kaukauna Floral Company.

    Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Siebers; two brothers, Marvin, William, Kaukauna; and two grandparents, Mrs. Joseph Green, Freedom, and Mrs. Peter Siebers, Kaukauna.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Thursday at Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna, by the Rev. Peter J. Grosnick, the cortege forming at 8:30 at Fargo Funeral Home. Burial will be the the church cemetery. The body may be viewed after 7 o'clock Tuesday evening At the funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

  • Note: Bill died October 15, 2015 at age 89. Preceeded in death by sister Vione, brother Marvin and first wife Jeanne (Moore). Loving husband to Susan (Pollay), dedicated stepfather to Eli Spector, brother-in-law to Barbara Katz and Dorothy Siebers. Born in Kaukauna, WI, Bill received degrees in music from Lawrence University (undergraduate), Northwestern (Masters) and the University of Missouri at Kansas City (doctorate). After teaching several years on the high school & junior college level, he joined the music faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1962, where he taught violin and other courses & conducted the university orchestra until his retirement in 1988.Throughout his career he played violin in many orchestras and ensembles, including the Waukesha & Beloit Symphonies, the Whitewater Quartet and in Door County and played sax & clarinet in dance bands. He also held several adjunct teaching positions. He served two years in the Navy during WWII and also a year during the Korean War. Bill enjoyed a long productive retirement.     Golden, Shirley F.


    Shirley F. Golden, formerly of Appleton, age 80, died peacefully on Thursday June 18, 2009, at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Shirley was born April 23, 1929, in Appleton to the late William and Martha (Green) Weyenberg. On November 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Golden at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple has enjoyed 59 years together.

    In her younger years, Shirley was active with the Girl Scouts as a Troop Leader. She was also active at St. Pius Catholic Church, Appleton, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.

    She is survived by her husband Bob Golden, Kaukauna; daughter Peggy (David) Oberhofer, River Hills, WI; three grandchildren: Megan (Amish) Patel, Molly McCloud, and Matthew (Shelley) Oberhofer; her sister Esther Tousey, Appleton; two brothers-in-law: Jerry (Bonnie) Golden, Kaukauna, and Jim (Joyce) Golden, Little Chute. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Maddie.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Patrick Golden and brother-in-law Art Tousey.

    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 22, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton, with Father Willie Vande Loo officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A memorial fund in her name has been established.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W.; two sons: Donald and Harland, seven brothers: Aloysius, Henry, Leonard, John, Martin, Bernard, and William. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Internment in the parish cemetery.

    Len was a member of the Knights of Columbus, President of Holy Name Society, Finance Committee at Immaculate Conception Parish, Oneida, a past member of Holy Name Society at St. Nicholas of Freedom. He was also an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, Oneida, a member of Catholic Knights Financial for over 74 years and also a past Freedom Volunteer fireman. Len was very thankful for his wife of 57 years, his family and friends.     Len is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters, 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one coming in June. Donald J.     He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, children: Jolene Green, Tammy (John) Bartell and their children: Brady, Dillon, Sawyer and Teagan, John (Kathy) Petruzzelli and their children Anthony and Andrea Buck; brothers: Leonard (Elaine) Green and Vernon Green, sister, Gerry Pomeroy.

    Lyle was preceded in death by his mother and father, and two brothers: Donald and Harland Green.

    Lyle was a successful business man, having owned Lyle Green Trucking for many years, where he supported local farmers. He enjoyed working and driving his Nash Rambler, as well as travelling and going on cruises. Through his travels, he actively followed Anthony's ice hockey career.

    Family and friends may call Monday, Oct. 15, at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, from 2:00pm until the hour of Mass.
