Survivors include a son and daughter in law, George and Florence, of Route 3 Kaukauna; six brothers Henry Bougie of Green Bay; Louis and Francis Bougie both of DePere; William and James Bougie both of Oshkosh; Norbert Bougie, of Florence; four sisters: Mrs. Catherine Lembcke, of Green Bay; Mrs. Isabelle Baeten, Mrs. Anna Treml and Mrs. Loretta Landwehr of DePere; four grandchildren: Wayne Bodde, Joan Bodde Huss, laura Bodde Evers, Rosalie Bodde VandeYacht and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William; a sister Mary and a grandson William. The funeral will be at 12 noon Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Reverend David Beaudry officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

She was born November 26, 1900 the daughter of the late John and Theodora (Romenesko) Bougie. In November of 1927 she was united in marriage to Arthur H. Lembcke. He preceded in her death on May 24, 1983. Catherine was a school teacher for many years and then farmed with her husband in the Isaar area until her retirernent. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Isaar and Christian Mother of the church. She is survived by six daughters and sons in-laws; Lorraine and Joseph Romenesko Freedom, Shirley and Donald Roskom, Mill Center, Gloria and Francis Busch, Mesa, Arizona, Elaine and Charles Welter, Suring, Delores and Alfred Palmer, Neenah, Marilyn and Fred VanKauwenberg, Route 2, DePere, two sons and a daughter in law, Joseph and Theresa Lembcke, Appleton, William Lembcke, Green Bay; 54 grandchildren' many great grandchildren, a sister Anne Treml, DePere, three brothers, William Bougie, Oshkosh, Norbert Bougie, Florence, Francis Bougie, DePere. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl, and seven brothers and sisters. Services at St. Sebastians Catholic Church Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

  • Note: Francis G. Bougie, 100, born August 16, 1916 in the Town of Lawrence on a farm that his Grandfather bought when he came from Montreal, Canada in 1835. He was the son of John and Theodora (Romenesko) Bougie, and was the youngest of 13 children.

    Francis was preceded in death by his siblings; Joseph Bougie, Mary (George) Burgoyne, Rose (Bill) Bodde, Catherine (Arthur) Lembke, Anna (Lucus) Treml, Isabel (Edward) Baeten, Loretta (Alois) Landwehr, Henry (Mae) Bougie, Louis (Colette) Bougie, James Bougie, William (Catherine) Bougie, and Norbert (Etta) Bougie.

    He graduated from Wrightstown High School where he played the trumpet in the High School Orchestra. Francis went on to graduate from Outagamie County Normal School. He taught at Apple Creek School 2 years and left to take over the family farm when his father became ill.

    On November 10, 1956, he married Lucy Bernetzke. He helped raise her children; Carl (Deceased) (Judy) Bernetzke, Gerald (Judy) Bernetzke, Leo (Carol) Bernetzke (both deceased), and Joyce (Gary) Olsen. Francis sold his farm in 1974 when Lucy became ill. She preceded him in death in 1976.

    On October 12, 1984, he married Agnes Krizek. They met again after having dated as teenagers. Now, remarried he and Agnes had time to travel. Francis is survived by Agnes's children; David (Mary Ellen) Krizek, Marlene Ploeger, and Mary Lou Brown. Agnes preceded him in death in 1999.

    Francis was a lifelong member of St. Clare (St. Paul) Parish in Wrightstown, where he ushered for 50 years. Francis loved his Catholic faith and always carried a rosary in his pocket and prayed for everyone. He was an avid Packer fan from the time they played at East Green Bay Stadium. Francis enjoyed playing cards and loved his garden and flowers. In 2010 at the age of 94 he left his home that was built on his farm land and moved to Nicolet Terrace where he met many friends playing cards and bingo. Francis always did a lot of walking throughout his life, starting with walking behind horses plowing fields and continued walking 1 - 2 miles a day at Nicolet Terrace. He continued walking to the grocery store, drug store and bank, because walking was the best thing you could do. Francis is survived by his step children as well as many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

    Family and friends may call at St. Clare Catholic Church, Wrightstown from 9:00AM to 10:45AM Saturday March 18, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr.
