  • Note: Robert Walter "Bob" Roepcke, age 69, of Kaukauna, died on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton. He was greeted at heaven's gates, not only by his beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, but other family members who have crossed from this life, to life eternal; his mother and father, his first wife: Alice; a brother: Gary (Lori) Roepcke; as well as many other family and loved ones.

    Bob was born September 28, 1944 in Dubuque, IA, son of the late Walter & Clara (Ebben) Roepcke. He proudly served in the United States Army and following his discharge married Alice Nadler on April 1, 1967 in Chilton; she preceded him in death on October 15, 2009. Bob married Olivia Cotton on May 3, 2014 in Milwaukee.

    Throughout his life, he drove semi for many local companies, and had most recently been driving for Phil's Pumping in Chilton. Bob was a member of In the Shelter of His Arms Church in Kaukauna where he studied the Word of God and served as an Elder bringing God's message of truth to all of the people around him.

    He enjoyed his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden no matter where he lived. In his free time, Bob would be known to make batches of wine, which he could share with those he loved, and passionately watched the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and NASCAR Races. His devotion to his family and his work will never be forgotten by all those who knew him.

    Survivors include his wife: Olivia; his children: David (Tohnja) Roepcke of Little Chute; Chad Roepcke of Chilton; 2 step-daughters: Kimberly Mayfield & Tamiko Richardson; 5 grandchildren: August, Nathaniel, Dyllan, Brandin, & Travis; 11 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and 5 siblings: Cheri (Rick) Rietveld, Karen (Joe) De Jardine, Vern (JoAnn) Roepcke, Keith (Linda) Roepcke, Ken (Sheila) Roepcke. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 and on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm when the service will be held.

    Alice K. Roepcke, 65, Chilton, died on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at her home in Chilton. She was born May 4, 1944, in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late William J. and Madeline M. (Grittner) Nadler. She married Robert W. Roepcke on April 1, 1967, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. During her life, Alice worked at Chilton Products for over 30 years and was a member of Faith Alliance Church in Chilton.

    She was a loving and compassionate person and always tried to help and encourage the people around her. Alice's children and grandchildren meant everything to her and she devoted her life to caring for her family. Alice always had more love and compassion to give and became like a mother to her sister's children when she died at a young age. Alice enjoyed reading romance novels, but her family will always remember her passion for baking and creating delicious meals in the kitchen.

    Survivors include her husband, Bob; two children, David (Tohnja) Roepcke, Chilton; Chad Roepcke, who lived with and cared for Alice in Chilton; five grandchildren, August, Nathaniel, Dyllan, Brandin, Travis; five brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Alice was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Luke Nadler; a sister, Sharon Moehr; and a brother, William Nadler, Jr.

    Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton, with Pastor Ronald Hannon officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, when the service will be held. Visitation will continue following the funeral service.

    Age 31, died suddendly Sunday, December 11 in Sherwood. He was born March 24, 1946 in Manitowoc, son of William Steinfest and the late Eleanor Moeser Steinfest. He was married to Cheryl Roepke, April 8, 1967 in Chilton. He was employed by the Kay Distributors, Green Bay and was a former employee of Tri County Redi-Mix Co., New Holstein, and also the city of Chilton. He was a member of Grace Chapel Assembly of God Church, New Holstein.

    Mr. Steinfest is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a daughter, Wendy, at home; and a son, Wayne, at home; a sister, Mrs. Ken [Lois] Wenzel, New Holstein; two brothers; Donald and James, both of Brillion.

    The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Chapel with the Rev. Arland Dwelle officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Chilton. Friends may call from 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Wieting Funeral Home, 1706 Plymouth St. Chilton, until 8: a.m. Wednesday then at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
