    Frank Van Camp
    Freedom, Wis.

    Age 85, died early Monday at Tomah VA. Hospital. He was born June 21, 1895 in Little Chute and had farmed in the Freedom area until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Freedom VFW and the Little Chute American Legion. He was also a member of St. Nicholas Holy Name Society. Mr. Van Camp was a World War I Army Veteran.

    Survivors include his wife, Elsie Fischer Van Camp; a daughter, Mrs. Amos [Mary] VandeHey, Wrightstown; five sons, Alois Van Camp, Stephensville; Glen, Eugene, Gerald and Floyd, all of Freedom; four brothers, John Van Camp, De Pere; Clarence [Babe], Appleton; Jacob and Joseph, both of Freedom; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Wittman, Appleton; 53 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren.

    Mr. Van Camp was preceded in death by a son, Marcell; his first wife, Magdaline Biese; two grandchildren, Mike and John Van Camp, Stephensville; and two brothers, Henry and William.

    The funeral will be 12 noon Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Leander Nikol officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna, after 3 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

    Elizabeth [Elsie] Fischer Van Camp, Colony Oaks Care Center, Appleton, age 90, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 11, 1989, at 11 a.m. She was born April 28, 1899, in the Town of Osborn. Mrs. Van Camp lived most of her life in the Black Creek and Freedom area.

    Survivors include four sons; Clemence, Markesan; Leon, Appleton; Armon, ripon; Milton, Appleton; three brothers, Raymond Plutz, Waupaca; Lester Plutz, Appleton; Eary Sylvin, Black Creek; two sisters; Irene Kitzinger, New London; Mildred Huolhan, Appleton; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Fischer; her second husband, Frank Van Camp; a brother, Alphonse; and a sister, Doris.

    The complete funeral service will be Saturday, May 13, 1989, at 11 a.m. from Valley funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, 2211 M. Richmond St., from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday [tonight], and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Jeff “Chief” Van Camp, age 52, of Freedom, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was born on April 21, 1965, son of Floyd and Joanne (Daul) Van Camp. Jeff married Sally Marquardt on February 2, 1991, and together have shared almost 27 years of marriage.

    Jeff graduated from Xavier High School, class of 1983. After high school, he co-founded VANCO Construction Inc. and currently serves as the Vice President. Jeff was known to fix, make, or “MacGyver” anything. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his cottage in Townsend. As the host of deer hunting camp, he loved the camaraderie and enjoyed being the cook, making his famous meatloaf. Faith was extremely important to Jeff and he was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Most of all, Jeff loved spending time with his family, especially with his children. He was very proud of all their accomplishments, and the love he had for them was immeasurable.

    Jeff is survived by his wife, Sally; children: Cameron Lou, 17, Courteney Jo, 14, and Coleton Jeffrey, 11; parents; Floyd and Joanne Van Camp; siblings: Liesa Van Camp, Lori (Dave) Bradish, and Jay (Becky) Van Camp; mother-in-law, Lucille Marquardt; brother-in-law, Tom (Ruth) Marquardt; nieces and nephews: Nick and Natalie Bradish, Collin, Emelia and Anna Van Camp, Andrew, Jonathon and Zachery Marquardt; and many other family members and special friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clifford Marquardt.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, from 3:30 p.m. until the vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass at 12:00 noon. Fr. Walter Stumpf will officiate, assisted by Deacon Gary Vanness. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. On June 18, 1946 he marrie d Mary Van Camp at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom and they celebrated their Golden W edding in June. The couple farmed the family farm all of their lives until retiring in 1983. He followed in h is father's footsteps as a veterinarian and was an active member of St. Paul Catholic churc h in Wrightstown, serving as a trustee, and usher and a member of the Holy name society. Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Paul Van De Hey of Greenleaf, Pat Van De Hey of De Pe re, David, Dan, Chris and Brian Van De Hey all of Wrightstown and Joseph Van De Hey of Kaukau na; seven daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Rosemary) Hietpas of Little Chute, Mrs. Thomas (Kathleen) P ehowski of Cedarburg, Mrs. Thomas (Elaine) Jones of Green Bay, Mrs. Ken (Judy) Caelwaerts o f Suamico, Lois Smits and Mrs. John (Eileen) Huben, both of Appleton and Mrs. Chris (Mary) Ev ers of Freedom; 51 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Van De He y of Little Chute and Ernest Van De Hey of Kaukauna; two sisters Irene Verhagen of Little Chu te and Mrs, Norbert (Lorraine) Weyenberg of Hollandtown and nieces and nephews.
