    Age 55, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Kimberly on Dec. 28, 1954, to Dorothy H. (Weyenberg) and Fred J. Fox. Christy attended Plamann School and graduated at age 21. She worked at the Sheltered Activity Center and then Valley Packaging until she retired. She lived her entire adult life supported by the staff of Agape of ppleton in both the group home and sheltered apartment programs. Christy received her first Holy Communion at Holy Name Church, Kimberly and enjoyed attending their special education religious program. hristy enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Lake Poygan fishing, swimming, boating and visiting the neighbors. She participated in Special Olympics bowling and swimming. She loved everything bridal: dresses, veils, music, bouquets and dancing. Christy also enjoyed all types of music, writing, making hook rugs and all animals. She participated in the Beaming Program, riding and grooming horses until he was no longer able. Christy had the unique talent of remembering birth and anniversary dates and enjoyed reminding family of upcoming events. She is survived by her sisters: Priscilla (Jacob) Bons of rescott, Ariz., Mariann (Roy) Vandenberg of Appleton, and her brother: Ted Sr. (Jancice) Fox of Winneconne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, Christy was receded in death by her grandparents: John and Carrie Fox, Peter and Helen Weyenberg; Godparents: Uncle Buck and Aunt Anna Weyenberg, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Agape of Appleton for the many years of support, caring and wonderful memories. They were her extended family whom she cherished. Also Dr. Joyce Bauer for
    providing extra care and attention to meet all Christy’s needs and Thedacare At Home Hospice for their guidance and support through this journey. A memorial fund is being established in Christy’s name.
    A memorial service for Christy was held Jan. 4 at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating.

    Gemma Sell, Neenah, age 60, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at her home. She was born June 9, 1940 in Appleton, the daughter of Harold and Roseann (Siebers) Weyenberg. Gemma married Jerald F. Sell on December 15, 1962 in Neenah, Wisconsin. Along with her husband, Gemma was a co-owner of Team Transcript Services of Neenah. She loved to crochet and spend time with family and friends. Gemma was loved by everyone who knew her.

    Survivors include her husband, Jerald Sell, Neenah; her father, Harold Weyenberg, Menasha; a daughter and a son in-law; Kathy and Allan Blair, Winchester; two sons; Michael and Douglas Sell, both of Neenah; three grandchildren; Teaonnie and Gemma Blair, Daemyen Sell; eight brothers and sisters; Guy (Jill) weyenberg, Little Chute; Thomas (Bev) Weyenberg, Appleton; Nancy (Charles) Costello, Madison; Donna McCarthy, Neenah; Carol (Dave) Martin, Appleton; June (Bill) Weber, Mukwonago; Teresa Martin, Neenah; Debra Sonnleitner, Menasha; 34 nieces and nephew; 26 great nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister Rosalie Weyenberg, a brother in-law, Richard McCarthy.

    A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2001 at the Kessler Funeral Home with Rev. David J. Koch officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.

  • Note: Dave Martin, 66, Town of Menasha, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at his home. David was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Menasha, the son of Burton and Blanche Martin. He was a graduate of Menasha High School.

    Dave was employed for many years as a research technician with Georgia- Pacific (American Can, James River) prior to his retirement. He was a member of their Quarter Century Club.

    Dave loved spending time with his family and being together with his grandchildren. He enjoyed walking with his dog, Porky, and doing woodworking projects.

    Survivors include his children, Joe (Kim) Martin, Menasha; Jonathon (Deanna) Martin, Neenah; Scott (Brenda) Martin, Appleton; and Tammy (David) Bahnke, Menasha; his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Bryar, Derik, Micaela, Malia, Bryanna and Kai; his brothers, Rick Martin and Harold (Janice) Martin, all of Menasha; and Jim (Sharon) Martin, Appleton; his sisters, Judy Martin and Nancy (Don) Harrison, all of Appleton; and Mary Waters, California. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally.

    A visitation for Dave will be on Monday, March 28, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. A time of sharing and remembrance will be at 7 p.m. Urn burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.
