    Age 72, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administrations Hospital, Wood, Wisconsin, following a brief illness. He was born November 14, 1910, in Freedom, and lived in Appleton all of his life he and his wife, Clara, who preceded him in death in 1975. He owned and operated the Golden Eagle Tavern and he retired in 1970. Mr. Kieffer served on the Board of Directors of the Outagamie County Tavern League for many years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and was a World War II Army veteran.

    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Steffen, Kaukauna; Mrs. Richard [Joyce] West, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law, Tech. Sgt. Paul M. and Jilla Kieffer, Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Christine and Brian West, Lance and Pamela Steffen, and Jasmine Kieffer.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, four brothers and two sisters.

    The complete funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Father Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. The prayer and scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. A memorial fund is being established.

    Age 65, passed away unexpectedly at 11:19 a.m. Friday. She was born August 8, 1909 in Kaukauna and had lived there most of her life where she and her husband owned and operated the Golden Eagle Tavern. Mrs. Kieffef was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and the Golden Agers Club.

    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bruce [Ruth] Steffen, Kaukauna; Mrs. Richard [Joyce] West, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law, Staff Sgt. Paul M.Kieffer, serving with the Air Force at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida; Illinois; four grandchildren; two bothers, Norbert Micke of Wrightown; and Urban Micke of Kaukauna.

    She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald, 14 years ago.

    The complete funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Father John W. Cerkas officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.     Age 24, passed away 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after a four and a half year illness. He was born January 13, 1936 in Appleton and lived here his entire life. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Catholic War Veterans amd was a veteran of the Korean War.

    Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kieffer, a brother, Paul, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Steffen, and Miss Joyce Kieffer, Appleton; a grandmother, Mrs. Anna Micke, Green Bay.

    Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Therese Catholic church with burial in Highland Memorial Park where a military service will be conducted by the Catholic War Veterans. Friends may call at the Ellenbecker Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday and rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

    Steffen, Ruth Ann
    Ruth Ann Steffen, 70, Kaukauna, passed away with her family at her side Monday, October 6, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1937, in Appleton to the late Lawrence and Clara (Micke) Kieffer. Ruth enjoyed her recent time spent at Golden Ventures, Kaukauna. She literally sweetened the lives of all the residents with her cookies.
    She is survived by her children: Lance Lee Steffen, Neenah, and Pamela (Bob) Steffen-Karls, Weston, WI; sister, Joyce West, Mountain; brother, Paul Kieffer, Illinois; two nieces: Christine (Joel) Miller and Jasmine Kieffer; nephews: Brian West and Mark Kieffer. She is further survived by other relatives and friends, especially Julie Derks who she thought of as a second daughter.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Kieffer.
    Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Valley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. A memorial fund is being established.

    Bruce Steffen, age 79, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Manor Care. He was born on February 19, 1935 in Appleton, to the late Erval and Gladys (Satorius) Steffen. Bruce served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. Bruce was preceded in death by his three wives, Mayako "Judy" Fusamoto, Ruth Kieffer, and Marsha (Dalemont) Brownson. He was employed at Kimberly Clark and Winnebago Mental Health Institute, retiring in March of 1997. Bruce enjoyed his time with Marsha on Kelly Lake and his interests included fishing, gardening, camping, and boating.

    Bruce is survived by his children: Pam (Bob) Steffen-Karls of Weston and Lance (Chris) Steffen of Madison; step-children: Sean Brownson of Neenah and Kelly (Kevin) Euler of Kenosha; siblings: Howard (Pat) Steffen of Townsend, Margo (Howard) Hidde of New London, and Charmaine (John) Larsen of Menasha. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bruce was also preceded in death by his brother Robert (Sue) Steffen.

    The funeral service for Bruce will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Rev. Robert Raasch will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Olive Ev.     Mr. Weyenberg is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph DuPont and Mrs. Fred Fox, both of Kimberly; six sons, John, Rt 1 Menasha, Louis, Zion, Ill. Sylvester, Los Angeles, Ca. Harold, Neenah, Royal and Ben, both of Kimberly; 40 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen Funeral Home, Kimberly after 2 PM Monday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 PM.

She was born in Dousman, Wisconsin on September 21, 1907, daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Van Ert) Weyenberg of Kimberly. Agnes attended Holy Name Grade School in Kimberly and on September 4, 1928 married Joseph Dupont at Holy Name. Prior to her marriage to Joe, she worked at the Kimberly Clark "Club House." During that long and happy marriage, Agnes enjoyed her home and cottage on Lake Winneconne, where she entertained her seven children, friends, neighbors, and relatives. For many years, she provided a happy week at the lake for her thirty-one grandchildren - fishing, water skiing, playing games, and eating. She was known for her good cooking, her sewing skills, and many acts of kindness. Agnes was the neighborhood jack of all trades who removed cinders from eyes, diagnosed illnesses, cut kids' hair, bathed new babies, counseled those in needed, and provided food and solace at funerals. Agnes was the one people called when they didn't know whom else to call. She was active in the community as a member of the Kimberly Homemakers, the Kimberly Golden Agers Club, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and Ladies of Holy Name.

    Survivors include three daughters: Patricia (Carl) Vanden Boom of Kimberly, Mary Lou (Robert) Wahlers of Madison, and Susan Dupont of Milwaukee; two sons: Tom (Dorothy) Dupont and Steve (Gail) Dupont of Georgia; two daughters-in-law: Marge Dupont of Wrightstown and Sue Dupont of Darboy; thirty-one grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a sister: Dorothy Fox of Winneconne; a brother: Harold Weyenberg of Little Chute; beloved nieces Bert and Marie Dupont of Neenah; a special friend LilaMae Fird Hexner of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents, sons Michael and Joe Jr., and brothers Louis, Benedict, John, and Sylvester.

    The funeral liturgy for Agnes will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 10, 2004 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the hour of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Agnes' name for St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna where she had made her home for the past three years. The staff at St. Paul took such wonderful care of mom - she could have been in no better hands. Thank you all so very much.

    Agnes will be remembered for her loving heart, her understanding ways, and her steadfast support of her family, friends, and relatives. She will be missed.

    Age 81, died Friday morning, July 21, 1984 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born December 8, 1902 in Rotterdam, Holland. He came to the U.S. in 1909 and settled in Butler, Minnesota and later moved to Kimberly where he lived for the rest of his life. He served on the Kimberly District School Board as the Treasurer for over 25 years. He served as Electrical Inspector for Kimberly for 8 years. He was employed by Kimberly Clark as an electrician for 49 1/2 years. He was the past Treasurer and President of the Lakeshore Association at Clarks Point, Winneconne and was a member of the Kimberly Golden Agers. Mr. Dupont uas on the Board at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.

    Survivors include his wife, Agnes [Weyenberg] Dupont; three daughters and two sons in-law; Patricia and Carl VandenBoom, Kimberly; Mary Lou and Robert Wahlers, Green Bay; Susan Curtin, Combined Locks; three sons and daughters in-law; Tom and Dorothy, Doroville, Georgia; Joseph H. Jr. and Susan, Appleton; Steven and Joan, Stone Mountain, Georgia; and a daughter in-law; Mrs. Marge Dupont, Wrightstown; two brothers; Father Ferdinand Dupont; St. Norberts Abbey, DePere; William, Kimberly; 31 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael and four brothers.

    The funeral service will be 12 noon Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with Msgr. Carl Steiner officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, Kimberly and after 10:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service. There will be a Golden Ager service at 7 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established.
