    Dorothy Van Drasek, Appleton, age 75, passed away suddenly at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Dorothy was born in Darboy on July 23, 1934, daughter of the late martin and Angeline (Van Hammond) Van Roy. On April 27, 1957, she married Leo Van Drasek. For over forty years, Dorothy worked for Chase Bank (and its predecessors) in Appleton. She and Leo enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Crooked Lake, going to breakfast and visiting casinos with family and friends, but most precious to her was being with her grandchildren and new great-grandson.

    Survivors include her husband, Leo Van Drasek, Appleton; a daughter, Vicki (Dave) VanDeHey, Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Amanda (Corey) VanDeHey-Luniak, Andy (Jordan) VanDeHey, and Abby VanDeHey; a great-grandson, Gavin VanDeHey; a brother, Bernie Van Roy, Kimberly; and a sister, Darlene Dorn, Kimberly.

    Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Rose (Cal) Schnese, a sister-in-law Rita Van Roy, a brother-in-law Jim Dorn, her step-dad Bill VandeBerg, her in-laws Paul and Linda Van Drasek, and Aunt Anna.

    The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 31, 2009, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

    Dorothy will be remembered by all as a woman who was always there for those who needed a kind word from her, or perhaps just a hug and a listening ear.

Prior to her retirement from Colony Oaks Care Center in 1988, Darlene also worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

    Darlene is survived by her children: Kim (Bert) Zelten, Kewaunee; Cheryl (friend Jake), Kaukauna; Steve (Mary), Jimmy (Wanda), Mike (friend Helen) and Lori, all of Kimberly; grandchildren: Matthew, Adam, Jamie, Ryan, Alisha, Benjamin, Tracy (Brett), Matthew, Samantha, Bradley and Melissa; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Ryle and Rayna; brother Bernard Van Roy; sister-in-law Marcelline Beschta; brother-in-law Leo Van Drasek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James; sisters Rosella Schnese and Dorothy Van Drasek; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rita Van Roy, Stanley Beschta, Cal Schnese; step-father Wilbert Vande Berg; and mother- and father-in-law M. William and Mazella Dorn.

    Visitation will be held Tuesday May 25, 2010, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (201 E. Main St., Little Chute) beginning at 4 p.m. until time of funeral at 6 p.m. The Deacon Bud Klister will officiate.     James M. Dorn, 75, Kimberly, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008. He was born Dec. 7, 1932, to the late Marcellus and Mazella (Bauernfiend) Dorn, in the Town of Menasha and had been a Kimberly resident for 41 years. Jim had been employed by Fox River Paper for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Jim served with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
    He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darlene J.     John Van Hammond Funeral Services Held Saturday
    Funeral services for John Van Hammond, age 62, 345 S. Sidney St., Kimberly, were held Monday. He was a member of the Quarter Cenrury Club of Kimberly-Clark Corp. for 37 years.

    He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, one daughter, Mrs. Wm. [Mary Jane] Paalman, Kaukauna; two sons, Marshall and Richard, of Kimberly; three brothers, Joseph, of Louisanna, Clarence and Earl of Kimberly; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Van Rooy, Mrs. Harold Rusch, and Mrs. Slarence Sanderfoot, all of Kimberly; and seven grandchildren.

    Services were held at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The Jansen Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 3, 1910, to the late John and Louise (Wagner) Schafer, in Menasha and had been an area resident all of her life. Myrtle enjoyed bowling and crocheting. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Survivors include a son and two daughters-in-law, Dick and Toni Van Hammond, Appleton; Dolores Van Hammond, Kimberly; a daughter, Mary Jane Paalman, Manawa; seven grandchildren, Jim Van Hammond, Mary Ann Bohne, Lucy Walker, Christine Driessen, Tim Van Hammond, Tina Van Handel, and Todd Van Hammond; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle Schafer, Oshkosh; Charles Schafer, Menasha; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and William Graves, Menasha; her in-laws, Josephine Sanderfoot, Angeline Vande Berg, Wilma Van Hammond, and Ann Van Hammond, numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy for Myrtle will be held at 12:00 pm, (Noon), Thursday, September 19, 2002, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, with Father David Belongea officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 am Thursday, until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name.

    She is survived by her husband, George; two step sons and daughters in-law, Jerry and Jeanie Van Heeswyk of Tuscon, Arizonia; Jim and Mary Van Heeswyk, Glendora, California; five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild; two brothers and sister in-law, Clarence and Wilma Van Hammond, Earl and Ann Van Hammond, all of Kimberly; two sisters and brothers in-law, Angeline and Wilbert Vande Berg, Josephine and Clarence Sanderfoot, all of Kimberly. She is also survived by her first husbands two sisters, Lorraine [Hane] Lemmens, Norma [Ralph] Martineau; her second husbands brothers and sisters, John and Jackie Van Heeswyk, Marty and Lou Van Heeswyk, Bob and Audrey Van Heeswyk, Betty Wolfinger, Ann and Bart Dollevoet, Pat and David Brown.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Rusch; three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton with the Rev. Leon L. Knitt officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E.     Age 80, died in King, Wisconsin on Monday, February 25, 2002. He was born to the late Martin and Elizabeth (Smaxwill) Van Heeswyk in Kimberly on October 14, 1921. In 1974 he married Martha (Van Hammond) Resch in Appleton. She precedes him in death. George was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. Playing cards was a favorite activity for George, including sheepshead and poker. Both George and Martha were very fond of their dog, “Puggy.” He spent many hours collecting and cracking hickory nuts which he sold and gave away. George worked with his sons in a tree trimming business in California and was a proud employee of Thilmany when he relocated to Kimberly. George is survived by two sons: Jerry Van Heeswyk of Tuscon, Arizona, and Jim (Mary) Van Heeswyk of Glendora, California; numorous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers: John (Jackie) Van Heeswyk of Appleton, Marty Van Heeswyk of Florida, and Bob (Audrey) Van Heeswyk of Combined Locks; three sisters: Betty Wolfinger of Appleton, Ann Dollevoet of Kimberly, and Pat Brown of Kaukauna. George is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and the Van Hammond Family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Martha; a sister, Mary Effertz of Kimberly; three brothers-in-law: Bart “Albert” Dollevoet of Little Chute, David Brown Sr. of Kaukauna, and Marvin Effertz of Kimberly; a sister-in-law, Lou Van Heeswyk of Kimberly; and two nephews: David Brown Jr. of Kaukauna and Mark Van Heeswyk of Combined Locks. The funeral liturgy will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Words cannot convey the gratitude the family wishes to express for the wonderful care and concern given to George during his ten years at King, Wisconsin. The compassion and friendly concern shown to the family was greatly appreciated, especially from the caregivers on the third floor. The family extends a special thank you to George’s social worker, Sandy Satterfield. We will remember all of you for your dedication shown towards George. We offer our most heartfelt thanks. The family also thanks Fr.     Josephine Sanderfoot, age 95, Kimberly, passed away on Thursday June 20, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, just two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. She was born November 2, 1918, the daughter of the late Jacob and Christine Van Hammond. Josephine married Clarence "Sandy" Sanderfoot on June 2, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1996 after 60 years of marriage. She was an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers, brewers and Papermakers and anything in which her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren participated. Josephine was a talented woman who loved cooking, baking, sewing, knitting and reading. She volunteered at St. Joe's Food Pantry until one year ago. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and for many years worked with its Mission Club.

    Funeral Mass for Josephine will be Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating.     Age 76, passed away Sunday, November 21, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born July 30, 1923, in Issar, Wisconsin, son of the late Jacob and Christine [Van De Weyer] Van Hammond. Bud was a graduate of Holy Name of Jesus grade school and Kimberly High School. He was in the service from 1942 until 1946, and Army Veteran of World War II. He worked for Kimberly Clark Repap for 45 years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and fixing puzzles. Bud spent many hours caring for others in need and for his yard and home.

    He will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Wilma [Vanden Hogen] Van Hammond, Kimberly; two sons, Dave and Jean Van Hammond, Stevens Point; Don and Louise Van Hammond, Darboy; a daughter, Debbie and Tom Lamers, Little Chute; four grandchildren; Sara Van Hammond and fiance, Jeff; Jessica Van Hammond; Erin and Cody Van Hammond; step grandchildren; Sara [Paul] Pederson; Beth [Mike] Tourville; Jill Winske; and Lisa Lamers; future great grandchild; Bailey, [due January 2000] and 7 step great grandchildren; a brother, Earl and Ann Van Hammond, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters; Angela and Bill Vande Berg, Kimberly; Josephine Sanderfoot, Kimberly; a brother in-law; George Van Heeswyk, King; a sister in-law; Myrtle Van Hammond, Appleton; and a special little friend, Maria; also survived by his wife's brothers and sisters, nieces and nephew.

    Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, James; two brothers; Jack and Joe Van Hammond; a sister; Martha Van Heeswyk; his in-laws; Catherine and Leonard DeWitt; and brother in-law; Sandy Sanderfoot.

    The funeral liturgery will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, with Father Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends mayh call at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Wilma was born in Little Chute on October 17, 1924, daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Verkuilen) Vanden Hogen. On May 27, 1947, she married Clarence "Bud" Van Hammond; the couple enjoyed fifty-two years together, before Bud's death in 1999. Many will remember Wilma from her work as a clerk at the Kimberly Pharmacy; she retired in 1979. Wilma enjoyed raising her family with Bud, shopping, knitting and occasional trips to the casino. Most of all, time with her family meant the world to her.
    Wilma is survived by three children: Dave (Jean) Van Hammond of Stevens Point; Don (Louise) Van Hammond of Stevens Point; and Deb (Tom) Lamers of Little Chute; four grandchildren: Sara (Jeff) Kraus of Atkinson, NE; Jess (John) Gaffney of Stevens Point; Erin Van Hammond of Shorewood; and Cody Van Hammond of Stevens Point; four step-grandchildren: Sara (Paul) Pederson of Texas; Beth (Paul) Hoffman of Combined Locks; Jill (Mark) Damrau of Plover; and Lisa (Chris) McRae of Merrill; four great-grandchildren: Bailey and Aaron Kraus, and Noah and Ireland Gaffney. There are also nine stepgreat-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers and two sisters: Clarence "Clink" Vanden Hogen of Combined Locks; Theresa Buchberger of Kaukauna; Ves (Eunice) Vanden Hogen of Little Chute; and Julie (Lyle) DeValk of Appleton; and two sisters-in-law: Josephine Sanderfoot of Kimberly and Ruth Vanden Hogen of Little Chute.
    Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather: Leonard DeWitt; and infant son James: a brother: Joe "Shine" Vanden Hogen; and a brother-in-law: Doug Buchberger.
    The funeral liturgy for Wilma will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass.

    Age 75, or W1836 Cty. Hwy. K, Brillion, died on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at his home. He was born May 23, 1927 in Appleton, son of the late Matt Sr. and Valesca (Stommel) Hopfensperger. He married Bonnie Van Asten on May 23, 1976. He farmed in the Town of Brillion and also worked at the Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 1988. Hoppy loved the out-of-doors, making wood, and spending time with his family, especially with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, his children: Michelle, Appleton; Melissa (Jason) Anger, Forest Junction; Mindy, De Pere; Megan, at home; Helen, Green Bay; Sue (Kevin) Clavers, Brillion; Greg Jr. “Butch” (Kathy), Wayside; Julie Getlinger, Pine River; Frank, Kaukauna; LouAnn, De Pere; Karen Quella, Kaukauna; Leo (Judy), Manawa; Bob, Kaukauna; 19 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ernie Wysocki, Milwaukee; Geneva (John) Hanges and Charlotte Guckenberger, all of Appleton; Donna (Joe) Bouressa, Green Bay; Sharon Hopfensperger, Menasha; and two brothers, Carl (Carolyn), Star Haven, Indiana; Jim (Joyce), Black Creek, and many other relatives and friends.

    John P. Hoffmann, 2515 S. Telulah Ave., Age 72, died unexpectedly at 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 10, 1987. He was born Febuary 14, 1915 in Greenville, and prior to moving to Appleton four years ago he had been a resident of Darboy since 1954. Mr. Hoffman was a carpenter and belonged tothe Carpenter Local No. 955. He was a World War II Army Veteran having served in Europe where he received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy.

    Survivors include his wife, Eugenia " Jean" (Hopfensperger) Hoffmann, to whom he had been married 41 years; a daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and Dennis Welhouse, Hollandtown; four sons and three daughters-in-law; Dennis and Kathy Hoffmann, Kaukauna; William and Judy Hoffmann, Thomas and Yun Cha Hoffmann, all of Appleton; Kenneth Hoffmann, Combined Locks; 13 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Agatha Hoffmann, Appleton; a sister, Gertrude Brusso, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Ruth Hoffmann, Appleton; and a mother-in-law; Valesca Hopfensperger, Menasha. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
