    Former Commander of Little Chute Legion Succumbs at 61
    Arnold Strick, 61, 502 E. Park avenue, Little Chute, died at 6 o'clock this morning after a 3 month illness. He was commander of the Little Chute American Legion post for 36 years.
    Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral home after 7 0'clock Saturday night and after 2 o'clcok Sunday afternoon where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clcok Saturday and Sunday evenings. Funeral services will be at 9 o'clcok Monday morning at St. John Catholic church with burial in the parish cemetery.
    Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Kinder and Mrs. Roger Thiel, Kimberly; four sons, William, Sun Valley, Calif., Paul, Little Chute, Earl, Kimberly and Robert, ststioned with the air force in Germany; three brothers, John, Little Chute, Wilbert, Kimberly, and Jospeh, Combined Locks; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph Bouressa and Mrs. Victor Courchane, Kimberly, Mrs. Aloys Belling and Mrs. Jospeh Huss, Kaukauna, and Mrs. Russ Koch, Little Chute, and 12 grandchildren.

    Sister Marian Frances Weyenberg Victory Noll Box 109 Huntington, Indiana

    Age 91, died 3:10 a.m. August 20, 1991 in Mothe House, Huntington, Indiana. She was born March 2, 1900 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. She worked in Appleton in her early years and joined the Convent in July 1929. Her early convent years were spend as a Missionary Catechist in the southwestern United States. She returnet to Victory Noll where she celebrated her Golden Anniversary in 1979 and her Diamond Jubilee in 1989. She made her home at Victory Noll until her death.

    She is survived by a brother, John Weyenberg, Portland, Oregon; a sister, Dolly Miller, Appleton; and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Anna [Barta] Weyenberg; seven brothers, Joseph, Edwin, twins Robert and Richard, Harold, Jerry, Rollin; and two sisters, Eleanor and Lucy [Weyenberg] Monteith.

    Burial will be in Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington, Indiana. Marian was well loved by her family, she will be missed.

    Age 67, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Friday unexpectedly. He was born April 29, 1902 in Little Chute and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton.

    Survivors are his wife, Bernice; one daughter, Miss Joann, at homel; two sons, Weldon, Neenah and Keith, St. Paul Minnesota; four grandchildren; three sisters, Sister Mariann Frances, Huntington, Indiana; Mrs. Robert Montieth, Minocqua, Wisconsin; Mrs. Lloyd Miller, Appleton; six brothers, Edwin and Richard, Menasha; Harold, Granger, Washington; John, Portland, Oregon; Jerry, Neenah and Rollin, Appleton.

    One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Appleton. Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London. Friends may call atg the Brettschneider Trettin Funeral Home after 2 o'clock Sunday until the time of the services. A prayer service will be held at 8:15 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

    Menasha, age 75, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1907, in Little Chute. He was a resident of Menasha for 50 years. Mr. Weyenberg was retired from the Schreiter Furniture Store, Neenah.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrytle; two sons; James, Janesville, California; Gerald, Menasha; four brothers, Harold, Granger, Washington; John, Portland, Oregon; Richard, Neenah; and Rollin, Appleton; three sisters; Mrs. Robert (Lue) Montieth, Minocqua; Sister Marion Weyenberg, Huntington, Indiana; Mrs. Bernice Miller, Appleton; four grandchildren; Terri Mankins; Debbi Schabo; and Tracy and Donald Weyenberg.

    The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Menasha with the Rev. Jerome Watry officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a 8 p.m. prayer service. A memorial has been established.
