    Mr. and Mrs. Peter West, 824 Lawe Street, Kaukauna, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversay Sunday with an open house at their home. Mr. and Mrs. West were married on October 8, 1901 at St. Nicholas Church in Freedom and have lived in Kaukauna for 40 years.
    The couple has seven children, 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.     Age 90, died at the Kaukauna Community Hospital at 7:45 Wednesday evening after a long illness. She was born December 8, 1877 in the Town of Osborn. She had been a resident of the city of Kaukauna for the past 60 years and was a member of the Altar Society of the Holy Cross Catholic Church.

    Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Florence Lambie, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Holum, Mrs. John (Mary) Kerscher and Mrs. Edmond (Mildred) Grode, all of Kaukauna and Mrs. Frank (Leila) Remmel of Neenah; 19 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning at Holy Cross Church and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home after 2 p.m. on Friday. The Altar Society will pray a rosary at 7 o'clock Friday evening and the parish rosary will follow at 8 o'clock.

    Florence W. Lambie (nee West) Colony Oaks Care Center, age 95, passed away Friday, September 18, 1998. She was born March 20, 1903 in Freedom, daughter of the late Peter and Sarah (McCormick) West. Florence married Thurston 'Bud' Lambie in Michigan in 1919; he preceded her in death on July 24, 1966. Florence resided in Kaukauna most of her life. In addition to playing cards she enjoyed knitting crocheting afghans, blankets and slippers. She even made Christmas gifts for all of her descendants. She was a past Senior Regent of the Moose, past president of the VFW, American Legion Auxilary and the Women's Life Insurnce Society, and was a member of the Holy Cross Society. Florence was a cook for the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity at Lawrence University for 16 years and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.

    Survivors include two sons and one daughter in-law, Leland Lambie, Kaukauna; and Andy and Elaine Lambie, Combined Locks; two daughters and one son in-law, Sally and Mark Jansen, Fayetteville, Pa; and Lois Simons, Combined Lock; 30 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, three sisters, Margaret Holum, Kaukauna; Mildred Grode, Freedom; and Mary Kerscher, N.M.

    Other than her parents and her husband, Florence was preceded in death by two sons, Neil and Robert Lambie, one daughter, Lillian Lambie; two daughters in-law, Nona Lambie and Celesta Lambie; one son in-law, Gib Simons; two grandsons, Daniel 'Bun' Lambie, and Andy Lambie Jr.; three sisters, Arlene Van Handle, Nellie Berent, Leila Remmel; two brothers, Lyle and Cyril West; and two great grandchildren, Brian Lambie and Erin Glasheen.

    Funeral services will be held 5 PM Monday, September 21, 1998, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. Robert Vandenberg officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3 PM until the time of service. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.

    Thurston O. Lambie 'Bub' 202 Ryan St., Kaukauna, age 68, passed away Sunday unexpectedly at the home of his son Leland. He was born April 27, 1896 in Kaukauna and was life time resident. He was employed at Combined Locks Paper Company until his retirement two years ago. Mr. Lambie was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and served in the Army in World War I.

    Survivors are his wife Florence, two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Margaret) Jansen, Fayetteville, Pa.; and Mrs. Gilbert (Lois) Simons, Kaukauna; three sons, Leland, Kaukauna; Neil, Jensen Beach, Florida; Andrew, Combined Locks; two brothers, Arthur, Williamsport, Pa.; and William, Kaukauna; one sister, Mrs. Michael (Margaret) Miller, Kaukauna; 32 grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna at 2 p.m. Wednesday with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

    Leland Lambie, 84 years, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at his home. He was born January 22, 1921 in Kaukauna the son of the late Thurston and Florence (West) Lambie. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Leland married Nona Coakley on July 19, 1941 in Kaukauna, she preceded him in death in 1995.

    He was an avid sportsman and was inducted into the Kaukauna High School Hall of Fame. Leland enjoyed bowling, golfing and baseball. He was employed for 44 years at Combined Locks Mill.

    Leland is survived by his daughter; Sandra Lambie of Kaukauna, two sons; Thurston (Dolores) and Stewart (Ruth) Lambie both of Appleton, daughter-in-law; Gerry Lambie of Appleton, 7 grandchildren; Kevin (Lisa) and Scott Lambie, Danelle, Christin and Graham Lambie, Christina and Dallas Lambie and 3 great- grandchildren. Further survived by a brother; Andrew (Elaine) Lambie of Combined Locks, 2 sisters; Sally (Mark) Jansen of Pennsylvania and Lois Simons of Combined Locks, an aunt; Mildred Grode of Kaukauna.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Daniel, brother Neil Lambie and sister Lillian Lambie.

    The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2005 from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon at the Greenwood-Fargo Funeral Home. Interment Union Cemetery, Kaukauna.

    Age 71, died unexpectedly Friday, June 9, 1995 at her home. She was born September 14, 1923 in Weyauwega. She had been a waitress at Babe Van Camp's Resturant for a number of years. She was a beautian at La Pette Beauty Shop in Menash for 15 years.

    She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leland Lambie, Kaukauna; her mother in-law, Florence Lambie, Kaukauna; three sons and daughters in-law; Thurston and Delores Lambie, Appleton; Stwart and Ruth Lambie, Appleton; Daniel and Gerry Lambie, Appleton; a daughter and son in-law; Sandra and Clement Cramer, Scottsdale, Arizona; seven grandchildren; Kevin and Scott Lambie; Christen, Danielle and Graham Lambie, Dallas and Christina Lambie; three great grandchildren; Joey, Samantha and Heather; a sister, Yvonne Derks, Texas. She is further survived by her husband's brother and two sisters; Andrew (Elaine) Lambie, Combined Locks; Sally (Mark) Jansen, Pennsylvania; Lois Simons, Combined Locks.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Warner; and her father in-law, Thurston Lambie. The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the Fargo Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Johnsen officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 6 p.m. Monday until the time of service.

Sandy was born on August 20, 1942, daughter of the late Leland and Nona (Coakle) Lambie. She was a beautician. Sandy owned La Petite and Valley Fashion. She enjoyed collecting antiques. Sandy also treasured spending time with her family and friends.

    Sandy is survived by her brother Stewart (Ruth) Lambie, sisters-in-law; Dolores Lambie and Gerry Lambie (Steve Kehoe). Nieces and nephews; Kevin (Lisa) Lambie, Scott (Lisa) Lambie, Dallas (Nicole) Lambie, Dannelle (Duwayne) Vandort, Christen Lambie, Graham Lambie and Christina (Mike) Kamuda.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Thurston "Turtle" Lambie and Daniel "Bun" Lambie.

    We would like to thank Cora Bell for being a great friend to Sandy. Sandy will also miss her friends at John Fisher Manor.

  • Note: Thurston "Turtle" Lambie, 71, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Turtle was born on May 21, 1945 in California to Leeland and Nona (Coakley) Lambie. He moved to Kaukauna shortly after his birth and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1963. He was united in marriage to Dolores Wittmann on January 25, 1964 and they made their home in Appleton. Turtle worked at the oil fields in Ohio, Thilmany, owned Gold Bond Roofing, managed Country Side Bar and the building and maintenance at North Shore Golf Course. For the past nine years he was a bus driver at Kobussen Bus company where he made many special trips with the students. Turtle enjoyed going to the casino, golfing, bowling and helping his family with Dick's Drive In. Spending time with his family was always a special time and those times will always be treasured.

    Turtle is survived by his wife Dolores, two sons; Kevin (Lisa) Lambie, and Scott (Lisa Marie) Lambie, grandchildren; Joe, Samantha (Jake), Heather, Riley, Allyson and Ross, a great granddaughter, Izabelle, a sister, Sandy Lambie, and a brother Stewart (Ruth) Lambie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Turtle was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Daniel "Bun", in-laws, Raymond and Agnes Whitmann.

    A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 400 w. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna.

    Age 44, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 17, 1996 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. He was born July 24, 1952 in Appleton, the son of Leland and Nona (Coakley) Lambie. Dan married Gerry Haag on March 23, 1995.

    He is survived by his wife, Gerry Lambie, Appleton; his father, Leland Lambie, Kaukauna; paternal grandmother, Florence Lambie, Kaukauna, a daughter, Christine Lambie, at home; a son, Dallas Lambie, Oconomowoc; a sister and brother-in-law: Sandy Lambie-Cramber and Ed Cramer, Scottsdale, Arizone; two brothers and sisters-in-law" Thurston and Dolores Lambie, Appleton; Stweart and Ruth Lambie, Appleton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Nona Lambie; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Warner; paternal grandfather, Thurston "Bud" Lambie.   • Note: Andrew E. Lambie, Combined Locks, age 85, died on Thursday evening, November 3, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on November 26, 1925 in Appleton, son of the late Thurston and Florence (West) Lambie. On June 28, 1947, he was united in marriage to Elaine A. Kampo in Appleton. Andrew was an US Navy Veteran and served on the USS LST 121 during WWII. Upon returning from the South Pacific, he worked at Appleton Papers in Combined Locks until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Local 144 International Paper Union where he held the position of Chief Steward for several years. He was a member of VFW Post # 10544 of Combined Locks and the American Legion Post #258 in Little Chute. Andrew was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks.

    Andrew is survived by two daughters: Barb Glasheen and Deb (Mike) Zornow; four sons: Tom (Donna), Bob (Kim), Dave (Roswitha), Todd (Sherry) Lambie; a daughter-in-law Terri Lambie (special friend John Delie); 15 grandchildren: Bill Glasheen, Tania Zornow, Jason (Julie) Lambie, Ryan Glasheen (friend Melissa), Tara (Randy) Nerison, Matt (Katie) Lambie, Angela (Josh) Brantmeier, Erica (Aaron) Kroner, Amber Lambie, Natascha, Nicholas, and Nathan Lambie, Michael and Sara Lambie, Emily Lambie; nine great-grandchildren: Blake, Austin, and Conner Zornow, Aiden and Lila Glasheen, Morgan and Seamus Glasheen, Bryce Kuehl, and Tanner Nerison; two sisters: Sally (Mark) Jansen and Lois Simons. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Dorothy and Colette Kampo; a brother-in-law James (Millie) Kampo, and Godchildren: Patty VanderWeyst, Jill O'Neil, and Florence Wade, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

    Preceding him in death were his wife of 62 years, Elaine, his parents, his in-laws: Frank and Eva (Wickens) Kampo, a son, Andy Lambie, Jr., a granddaughter, Erin Glasheen, a son-in-law, Dan Glasheen, brothers: Leland (Nona) Lambie and Neil Lambie, a sister, Lillian "Sis", brothers-in-law: Gilbert Simons, Alex and Roland Kampo, and sisters-in-law: Carol Kampo and Gladys (Chuck) Moorehead.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at ST.PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks with Fr. Robert Vandenberg celebrating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Full military rites will follow the mass. Friends will be received directly at church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Andrew's name is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home in Kaukauna is assisting the family. (766-2099)

    The family would like to thank the staff from the Oncology Department at Appleton Medical Center, Dr. Guenther, and all the caring and loving people that took care of Dad during his illness.
